Dear friends and bitcoiners, we've been working hard to get our new site up and are finally pleased to present it to you. The new design ushers in some other changes, like support for bitinstant and the introduction of SEPA deposits for Euro customers, and how we handle Liberty Reserve. It may seem like a small change after you get past the surface, but this is just the tip of the iceberg!

TOKYO, JAPAN - December 1, 2011 - Mt.Gox is proud to announce several enhancements to our website's look and feel.

I. Mt.Gox Redesign.
The world's leading Bitcoin exchange, Mt.Gox (MtGox.com), went live today with a new design aimed at increasing the usability of its services while bringing it up to current web design standards.

"The new design is a lot more cohesive and we hope our existing users will enjoy the experience - we think it's a huge improvement over the classic Mt.Gox. We believe the website will engender new users with its new, more refined look", said Mark Karpeles, CEO of Tibanne K.K.

While the website will remain as functional and easy-to-use as ever, the new design brings two new improvements that will make life easier for bitcoiners and traders alike. This includes a much sleeker Market Graph with access to more information than ever. This chart is accessible anywhere on the site by clicking the button at the top of the page. All the data you need at your fingertips is now only a click away!

II. Mt.Gox, now supported by BitInstant.
BitInstant, a company that built its reputation by allowing people to quickly and easily transfers funds to their preferred Bitcoin exchanges, are officially announcing today a partnership that will allow users based in the Untied State of America to expediently deposit funds into their Mt.Gox account securely.

BitInstant is accessible from the Mt.Gox control panel via the “Funding Options” page or directly from the BitInstant website. The new service will give you the ability to send funds from your Liberty Reserve, Paxum or Dwolla account in an instant!

III. SEPA Transfers for Europe are Back.
Mt.Gox is pleased to announce that SEPA transfers are now available to our European customers. If you live within the SEPA zone, you can once again deposit funds with Mt.Gox quickly and cheaply. If you would like more information on how to use this funding method please visit the "Funding Options" page on MtGox.com.
Please note that SEPA transfers are only available to Mt.Gox verified customers.

IV. Liberty Reserve.
Building on its strong relationship with AurumXChange and now BitInstant, Mt.Gox will be entrusting the processing of Liberty Reserve USD to these partners. As of today Mt.Gox will no longer longer accept Liberty Reserve funds directly, but instead, invites any Liberty Reserve account owners to use the trusted services of both AurumXChange and BitInstant.

Regards,
Mt.Gox Co. Ltd Team.

May be you will add an option to choose old design ?

New one's information density is way lower and especially worse on small notebook screen - only a little portion of trade page is now visible at a time... :(
"Zoom" option on 24h graph is either not working correctly in Safari or doesn't allows to zoom in for more than just a few percents.
USD balance of my wallet cannot be selected for copying to clipboard anymore, so it makes external calculation more diffcult.

It is a real shame that a team of programmers working for SEVERAL MONTHS has only this to show at the end of November.

> Redesign -- how about functionality?!
> BitInstant -- it was there already.
> SEPA -- used to be there anyways
> LR -- you REMOVED this feature.

And this warrants a timer on the front page?

Maybe that's why some people pulled their money out of MtGox when the timer went up Tongue

Well done.  I think that grey should be a little lighter, but I guess it might bring out those art designs on the wallpaper too much.   Everything is so large, I'll alert my grandma to join the site tonight Wink

As we said here to you already here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=52846.msg636566#msg636566, a LOT is going to happen and show Mid January, so what you see here is, once again, the tip of the iceberg and the features that will be announced will really change a lot of things for Bitcoin.

Cheers

It all looks very nice.  Big applause.

Companies claiming they got hacked and lost your coins sounds like fraud so perfect it could be called fashionable.  I never believe them.  If I ever experience the misfortune of a real intrusion, I declare I have been honest about the way I have managed the keys in Casascius Coins.  I maintain no ability to recover or reproduce the keys, not even under limitless duress or total intrusion.  Remember that trusting strangers with your coins without any recourse is, as a matter of principle, not a best practice.  Don't keep coins online. Use paper or hardware wallets instead.

lol, it is cheaply magic-wanded!  Graphic design fail.  It's also really color banded from compressing too many times during the edits.  Gox, you gotta pay attention to these things if you want to be 100% professional!  Anyway, I agree with the other comments on information density.  Everything is too large and spread out.  Tighten up the layout a bit with the CSS (should cost nothing).  Also, where is the dang leverage!  Dropped the ball!

I'm being a bit dramatic because I am bored.  Gox still has the lead IMO.
