With the rise of Doge Coin, there have been countless MEME coins launch on different platform.
What are you thoughts on meme coins? Are they bad for the industry? Or Are they a gateway drug for newbies to enter the game?

Altcoins were created due to the large number of requests from several new investors, MEME coins were created due to the rapidly growing trend of the crypto market and the developers saw an opportunity from this situation, so MEME coins currently have many features such as Dex/AMM and NFT platforms, Game as well as many features that developers offer at a low coin price, thus because the coin price is still low then some new investors try to take the opportunity to profit and hope the price will rise like DogeCoin. this is a normal situation and I think users can choose the new coins they want.

Yeh you right its new trend of inviting newbies to steal thier fund . because memes coin has no fundemental and has unlimited supply .
In early stage of launching meme coin they bullish their price too much because they want to invite newbies to invest because they want money and in the end they make his price down by selling too much token of its total supply
So stay away for meme and if you want to invest then do too research on his project and after that if you become satisfied then invest

What meme coins are you referring to? I don't know if any meme coins were created by a serious project team. In my understanding, if a project wants to be serious for their business, they won't make meme coins. We all know if the reputation of meme coins is very bad, so some people only use them for short-term trading. But for big investors, they should prefer to choose non meme coins because it is too risky.

A serious project but branding their project with some random meme name or animal name does indeed make their project somewhat less trustable, usually a serious project will also choose a serious name that could help them build a strong branding name, i still also doubt that any project with  meme name is some serious project, maybe these project should stop using meme name if they are really serious.

Actually meme coin has become a trend now. But the trend is not related to price rise, it's about new coins/token which are using the name of meme coins. The trend has increased significantly, lots of new coins using the name ‘doge’ with their coin/token name. All of them using binance smart chain platform and hoping that whales will make tweets about their coin. Many people investing into those newly launched token in a hope of big profit. But the reality is different. We have to stay careful and avoid those so called meme coin.

not much can be like dogecoin. The market and community that Dogecoin builds on are already very strong. and it was built in no time.
everyone should know that. because that doesn't mean meme coin will end badly. because in the future there will always be new trends that we never know about.

I think they are might be a new trend for now with a lots of pumps, communities, etc. but in real world and for some serious investors they don't find it a good investment of course if you are an investors you won't buy an asset that is useless and doesn't have any use at all or a live project, right? however this trend could be a good source of profit too.

they came indeed just for the hype. some of the meme projects are serious but most of them are things that will quickly disappear. that's why serious investors won't pay attention to the meme coin that's trending right now. they are too bad in the long run and certainly too risky to put our money in there.

I think coin memes are not a definite benchmark in giving rise to industry, many coin memes that appear on the platform will not happen like the dogecoin meme coin that reaches a new ATH and it's possible that the newly emerged coin meme most of these coins are just looking for profit for themselves and their team

They are only for-profit and the newbies are buying them because of how hype they are. But technically speaking, there's nothing to gain with such because it's hard to bear up with those newly made meme tokens and they're likely to be dumped within the next days after they're being launched. And the first people to dump it are the developers and this is not new in cryptocurrencies. That's why for the newbies, they have to be careful with every investment that they do because that's very unpredictable when exactly they are going to make it happen.

It's a bad entry point for newbies to get introduced to Cryptocurrency because of MEME coins, these are pump and dump coin the chances to make a profit is lower, and you will end up losing or have to cut your losses if you don't know how these developers and old investors are pumping and dumping this kind of coins, newbies should start with coins that are on the top spot already.

No, it is not a proper coin to hold for a long time. This coin is growing just because of the hype of Dogecoin. I am not sure the hype of Dogecoin to last a long time. They are the same, meme coins, so the risk is always the same. We all agree if all meme coins are too risky for a long-term holding.

I think it is not a good idea, you put your funds into an inappropriate coin. This may lead you to bigger losses.

MEME coins have been around for a long time now, at least DOGE coin has been around but a good attention was not paid on it not until this year, and since the crypto space most of the times moves with trend, MEME coins became a new trend to the extent that even top exchanges were listing them so as not to miss out.
Also, since it is all about trends, a lot of scam ones were created which are littered everywhere in this space as seen today. To add to this, most of these Meme coins are just for pump and dump with no clear path as to what they can offer in the future.
Lastly, asking if they are bad for the industry, I can't say yes because for top exchanges to list them shows that they aren't bad or maybe to an extent, but however, one will need to apply extreme carefulness when buying or trying to hold any of them for long term.

These mecoins (including doge) provide zero to the current market of coins.  They are all just ways for people to trade to get more bitcoin.  The constant block reward of 10,000 doge every minute will be the death of that coin.  There is no way to continually sustain it.  You constantly need more buyers but when it plateaus the bottom will be so hard because the selling pressure will just keep coming.

True, one of the biggest problems in this cryptocurrency market is precisely the copy/paste, it is unbelievable what we see. Until months ago people started to create many projects named after Japanese food, then came elon musk (doge pai) who started to support doge coin and many scammes started to appear to create altcoins named after dogs, something ridiculous... but What shocks me the most is to know that there are hundreds of people who take money to invest in these altcoins named after Japanese food and named after a dog and with that the cryptocurrency market keeps having several meaningless altcoins, pure pump and dump

but many people are still loyal members of such projects, naivety or greed is the incalculable consequence.

and to make matters worse, people are creating videos on social networks to publicize such meaningless projects

There are a lot of meme coins that have been followed and perhaps their devs thinking that it is the same with dogecoin they will also get possible profit. It seems like on gaming base NFT that now becomes trending --we saw now that there are a lot of projects that has done the same because they saw that there is one project on game-based NFT that recently very trending.

They are in the wrong idea, they are also following shitcoin and means that they'll be going to become sh** as well in the near future. They are supposed to think about how they could help the crypto space to grow, not to help it down and ruin the image. Because of these numbers of meme coins, I don't know how to find reliable and legit projects.

They just get in trending and hypes because of the bullish season but as it was done, I'm not going to expect that they will survive the crisis.
