DOT is a good coin.

But I don't have it and won't be replacing my Ethereum with Dot. I'll invest somehow into other coins and it's going to be part of my list where I'm going to diversify my portfolio.

Can't say that much bad to Dot and most that I've read about it are positive.

Definitely not. Polkadot is a good project and TPS is also faster than Ethereum, even though Polkadot will stay top for a year. With better TPS altcoins we have from Polkadot, although I'm not using this blockchain so much. As some post names also attract us to use new blockchain, here BSC also looks good, but after the final Ethereum 2.0, BSC will lose dominance.

Polkadot is a good project and if you want to hold it for long term it will certainly be beneficial. There are a lot of good projects coming up on it and most of them are related to Defi. The main purpose of polkadot was cross chain integration, I am yet to see any project coming up with it.

Ethereum is the leader in Defi, just because of the high fee people are shifting to other Blockchain but after the Berlin fork the fee has reduced a lot. You will again see an influx of new projects in it.

I don't know whether it can be the "next Ethereum" but I believe that it has a good future. It is already one of top 10 members. Its max supply is unlimited which could be a hindrance for it to reach too high levels maybe. But it will be a decent cryptocurrency in the future also I think.

next ethereum in mean have significant update for smart contract platform. but to be real ethereum it will not happen . so many things to do before any altcoin to replace ethereum in crypto community heart. we often to see when new altcoin project appear they said or representated as ehtereum killer. but till now on there is no one of them success.

You mean the next ETH based on ROI investment? Currently DOT marketcap too high and hard to gain profit multiple times just like ETH did since 2015. Too many competitor of ETH, beside DOT I think SOL also have high potential to grow because this project currently have the highest TPS up to 50,000 with lowest transaction fee. Current ecosystem of Ethereum is big to fail, and very hard to surpass it by its all competitor.

Polkadot is a potential coin yet it still has a lot to go through just like what Ethereum did. Lots of good coins are aiming to be the next Ethereum but as for me, Eth is quite irreplaceable for now because of its function and strong foundation. Dot has still a lot to prove but I'm sure that it could go more in the future.

There was an opportunity for any similar project to take advantage of the higher transaction fees of Ethereum and we all knows that Binance took that opportunity and run away with it with its BSC chain even though they were copied from Ethereum they have taken care of the situation and so is the reason they were successful and they have the platform to provide the publicity while the rest of the projects lacked to take that opportunity.

I have no idea about the projects in DOT and i am waiting to see how long it can go in order to take that mantle.

DOT is DOT why saying it's the next ETH? There will never be a new coin that will be ETH, many new coins might perform better than ETH but the fact is ETH stays ETH, the king of altcoins that's it is and nothing will ever change that, I'm a fan of DoT and I believe in the project but pls leave ETH out

I agree, DOT has a lot of potential and obviously, we can see that many investors are hype about this project, hence the price is really doing good in the last 9 months that I've been monitoring this coin.

However, ETH will be ETH, it has it's own strength and weaknesses and so is DOT. So for me they are two different projects, still really up to devs which platform to choose.

     Indeed, polkadot is a very amazing coin to invest in. From the concept(use case), the community, the developers, to the timelines of implementing everything on the roadmap. There are just so many great things about this coin. Even on the recent days, they have been announcing good news after good news. With the current pace it is moving, there really is a great chance for polkadot to rise within the ranks and go head to head with ethereum. Vitalik better watch out.

This is a very good coin as a core member of ethereum foundation was also owning DOT platform  or he already joined as a core team in dot as well. I like DOT but TBH parachain is quite complicated compared with an ordinary blockchain smartcontract like ethereum and BSC. It will much better if DOT can integrates with ethereum and BSC.
Parachain is good but what we need was a bridge from one to the another blockchain or it will better if any blockchain can compliant with each other.

You have to think logically bro, because if you compare DOT with Ethereum it is the same as comparing yourself to your own parents, because in reality DOT is a new token that is developing, while Ethereum is a token that has been successfully developed and has also been widely used by projects in the past.

I don't think that DOT will be the next ethereum. DOT has it's own purpose or uses just like ethereum. It is created for some reason. Just like ethereum created for faster transactions confirmed compared to bitcoin where the average transaction confirmation is 10 minutes. Dogecoin have it's uses too. Even some tokens are using ethereum network.

DOT is highly anticipated as one of the next Ethereum, we believe that it is not just talk. it's just that there are still many paths to be traversed by DOT. As many have said, BNB or even ADA have shown their ferocity in the market.

Polkadot has huge inflation currently and if it doesn't get changed, it will lose value over time!
Inflation is a very important point and Bitcoin is so succesful because it will always have 21 Millions coins, even in 50 or 100 or 200 years.

After reading the thread you mentioned, does it mean that polkadot don't have a maximum supply? But isn't Ethereum like that too. So it can be said that Ethereum is also not a good investment choice. cmiiw
