Elon Musk threads are moved to Off-topic ?

Today i created the thread in bitcoin discussion Elon MusK Bullish again for bitcoin ? in which i discussed about the profile picture which was changed to "bitcoin".
Later i found it was moved to Off-topic and then i realized that a lot of threads which contain Elon Musk name in the title were moved to Off-topic.
Are mods moving all these Elon Musk stuff to off-topic ?

Honestly speaking, I am happy to know that the mods are moving Elon Musk related topics to off-topic section. They should be doing it since the day it started popping up one after another Elon topics.

I would suggest all Elon interested users to make their conversation in the Wall Observer thread. It fits better there than to have it in the bitcoin discussion section.

Perhaps you need to register Elontalk.org or recognise people don't care about random investors (especially when there are a lot of topics on the same or similar things).

The guys got a social media addiction, you've got to expect the forum to not want actual newbie discussions being polluted by a bunch of evangelists. Perhaps you could take your discussions on twitter directly there or comment on someone else's topic with your info.

It's time to start completely ignoring all of Elon's attacks. Today I also read your topic about changing the avatar. And as I wrote in my post, there is no need to be like a crowd of rams who blindly follow any mood of this person. It would be nice to add his name to the filter of words that will be tracked by the forum, and when the name is mentioned, the posts could be automatically deleted.

I am glad the mods did the right thing. That's where all the spam topics talking about him belong or better still, just head over to twitter. It gets so annoying, people posting about the same thing over and over again, yet we don't care about the subject anymore.

That's a good move by mods and I'm glad to know it, all topics mentioned on this Twitter social media influencer name (***) should be deserved to move on that off-topic board (much better if mods will auto-delete) and not on the Bitcoin discussion board.  It seems all sections here on the forum was mentioned his name and I think we helped him to be more well known in that way.  It's time to include his name on our ignore list and even mentioning his name I didn't do it.

These days, I saw spamming his name in all topics especially on the Bitcoin discussion board which is I avoided interfering since he started giving a shit into Bitcoin.  He is anti-Bitcoin now and he does not have a place to discuss it here.

I think it would be acceptable to have one "Celebrity tweet effect on Bitcoin" megathread in Bitcoin Discussion or Speculation but OTOH... Elon clearly doesn't care much about Bitcoin other than to troll it so what's the point of giving him a platform here. And it's not like the threads are deleted. Off Topic board is great for flat earthers and nocoiners.

Well, no one is discussing on the personality of Elon Musk or any other off-topic stuff related to his personal life. People are trying to discuss the price action of bitcoin and try to find if the cause of bitcoin pump/dump was because of certain news/tweet.

Why not then close the bitcoin discussion section as everything which is discussed on the bitcoin discussion board can be fitted in the WO thread

I'd acknowledge if we had a thread where users could discuss detailly for every shitty tweet they read, but not a new thread every day... I mean, since Tesla put $1.5B to Bitcoin, Elon is the trend of the Bitcoin Discussion board.

Very sad to hear your post got disposed.  
It's not right to dispose discussions of Elon Musk to off-topic because off-topic should be really stay a shithole for all non-crypto stuff like:

- I was hurt by a bee, what to do now?
- How to cook chicken dinner?
- Asia is a great place to travel, where would you go in Japan?
- My gold fish looks sad, what can I do?
...

If it has any relation to crypto, it should be assigned to an appropriate crypto section. Bitcointalk needs more crypto discussions.

Incessant discussions about Elon musk and whatever his tweets say is as well "non-crypto stuff" if you ask me, and the thing is even if it is related to crypto in one way or another, when too many threads on the same issue keep appearing, then it's more than needed and thus can be moved to the off-topic board.

I'm pretty sure the mods didn't move every single topic about Elon, including the ones made early enough when his tweet was still fresh to the off-topic board, but rather it's the new threads on the subject that are being moved, what that basically means is that if anyone still wants to talk about Elon and his tweets, there are more than enough topics to do so and thus no need to create more of them.

I fully support moderators decision and all Elon Musk thread should be moved to off-topic because man is boring and topic has nothing to do with Bitcoin after we have hundreds of Elon topics.

Not every topic that mentions Bitcoin in it should be entertained in Bitcoin discussion area. Otherwise, we will end up seeing topics like "Bitcoin price spikes after Elon Musk tweets himself jerking off"

That's quite a reach to try and prove your point. A quick glance through the first page of the Bitcoin discussion boards is not wild speculations, so majority of the threads actually belong there. Elon musk's tweet discussions are usually about how he effects the price of cryptocurrencies, so they would fit in the WO thread, off topic is also a good destination or speculation board.

Bitcoin Twitter on bitcointalk? That would be a fun party, but with very little actual useful content. Investors should stop paying attention to influencers, but rather to their investments.

Due to the above part of the thread the OP created, I think it would be most appropriate for the thread to be in economics --> speculation. There are probably a few other Elon Musk threads moved to off topic that probably should be in speculation.

With that being said, a lot of the threads are either low value, or duplicative. IMO, there should be a single megathread, perhaps in speculation to talk about Elon Musk, and bitcoin/bitcoin's price

I myself don't care one whit about "random investors".  However, it's hard to argue that Elon Musk's comments weren't worth talking about in the context of bitcoin (and dogecoin for that matter).  I agree that there were way too many threads about him, but I don't think they all should have been moved to Off-Topic--the ones I saw here and there were focused on his influence on bitcoin, which is a real thing whether you like it or not.

But hey, let the mods do what they want to do as long as it's not something egregiously unreasonable, which this wasn't. 

Is the concern here that posts made in the Off-Topic section don't count toward signature campaign earnings?  OP is in the 777Coin campaign, so I'm assuming that might at least be part of why he's complaining about this.

Ever since I got registered into this forum, I have read several topics talking about elon musk and this took me me extra time to browse to know more about him. After my research about elon musk I got to know for several topics carrying him is wrong because the forum is design for purpose of bitcoin and other altcoin and not wasting time reading what will not contribute to growth of the  forum and members ideology. I am not surprise to hear the topic is moved out to another platform.
