I guess I'll have to save a lot of money if that was to happen because that is another golden opportunity to buy bitcoin and hodl for a really long time and profit a lot from it when the time comes, I just hope that my signature campaign will adapt it's pay when the prices has gone down that point.

You are good at making analysis based on your past analysis but this current situation needs a deep analysis on why you came up with $12400, it's almost like a crash from as high as $55k just last month, I doubt that $12400 level but everyone here can come up with analysis but its' better to give us an explanation on what tool and computation you are using, I can accept if you tell us that you are a gypsy using a Crystal ball.

The strong hold is 30k level and this does not been broken yet, though recently it almost down to below 30 though it recovered and now looking at the trend? bitcoin is seemingly  to break 40,000 level again.

Many people will be happy to see the bitcoin price down to $13k, but many people will panic when the price starts to jump down because they will not ready to see that moment.
Hopefully, the price will not go down below $30k and stay at that price, but if the price really drops to that price, I hope that is just a flash dump so the price will start to increase.
From this moment, there will be many speculations about bitcoin price and if you are not analyzing, you can get the wrong direction and maybe you will make a mistake in analysis.

Anyone can forecast whatever price they want, but I do not see bitcoin falling an additional 66% from its current price of 36k it is simply too much, maybe the price could go lower than 30k but the moment that happens we are going to see a bunch of people buying the dip.

With that in mind I think the buying pressure will be simply too high to the point it will be impossible to remain below 30k for long, let alone get to your predicted level of 12400.

Not that I'll dislike such drop, but can you explain me how will that happen in 4 months? What's your analysis that made you believe that the $12,400 is a probable target in September which is by the way the month that Bitcoin makes its high-peaks after halvings. I personally believe that the 6-digits are waiting for us at the beach.

My forecast is that it'll reach $2XX,XXX, but it'll then drop to $8X,XXX. It's my best guess by far.

In December 2017 OP has predicted BTC get to "70k-160k" by end of 2018.

I won't even question if the account has changed hands after the 2 years of being offline. It doesn't matter. I can forecast 90k Bitcoin for the same period and, although I myself find my prediction exaggerated, it still makes more sense than OPs 13k. Of course, I expect that both of us is wrong.

I haven't clicked the link to find out why he chose $13K, seems like an arbitrary number actually. I mean I would understand $20K or $15K but $13K just seems off. However if you go to tradingview and put in "BLX" which is the Bitcoin daily or weekly price index going back to like 2010, and you add a 200 weekly moving average. You will see that its currently at $13K.

Why is this important? Well because this moving average has actually bounced off 4 times in the past. We was the bottom of many bear markets including the 2015, 2018 and Covid crash.

So I get the $13K however the $13K increases every week. So in a few months it can be at $15K.

Dipping below 30K will give selling pressure and more strong when it dip lower since fear is really strong by that time. This scenario can only happen once institutional investor decided to sell-off there holdings. They are the one who drive the price up and they are the only one too that can do the opposite.

Although it is hard to believe if bitcoin will drop to $13k, that still possible to happen, but I hope that will not happen soon. Bitcoin price is up and down at $36k-$37k from yesterday, and that can give more chances for the price to break $38k soon, and perhaps, that could happen in the next week. But if the price gets a flash dump to $33k or lower price, it can make panic and perhaps, the fast-selling will happen because people will think that the worst scenario is on the way to happen.

Well you need to just accept the fact that it doesn’t mean it will happen but it’s possible. We were pretty bullish at $60K last month and all it took was 2 tweets from Musk to send us to $30K a few days later.

So keep in mind that there is a lot of panic which can cause us to quickly go down to $15K and stay there. This is similar to what happened in 2017 and people were saying that $10k or lower wasn’t possible and look what happened. We even went below $5k. Was a perfect buying opportunity.

BTC this low is near a 200 day average, thats the simplest take but also we have to resolve why should crypto pricing reduce so low with a fairly large amount of investment placed in it and also a dollar base leaking value from inflation constantly.   If crypto is growing, it has a utility and usage and if improving in efficiency then I dont expect 13k to be a normal event but only as an extreme will it occur which makes it a good trade to take same as the 65k high was a trade to sell, this low if occurring is an opportunity to buy and I hope I realize this chance.
  I've put this big low idea on my radar as a scenario, I dont know it occurs but I totally want to be ready if it does so I can trade it actively without too much fear or apprehension.    Just from experience I know its easy to make mistakes so my ideal is to be ready for everything and able to put it to my advantage if I can by knowing how we might react at this time beforehand.

Setting stop at $40174 doesn't really make much sense. The $40K isnt resistance, the resistance is more like $42K. $42K Was the ATH a few months ago, then we broke it and we went to like $43K on a dip. Then when we broke all the way down to $30K we got rejected at $42-$43K or so. So the smart play would be to put your stop near those areas because if it breaks $42K then most likely the next resistance will be closer to $50K and you don't want your position underwater this much.

I think the reason why this trade didn't work is because the stop was way too tight. So great R:R however you can get easily stopped out like you did. Better to wait for confirmation first before guessing where this train is going to stop.

It seems like someone lost a ton of money price went from $30800 (start of this topic) to $41050 (the quoted comment). Let it be a good lesson to those who start going against the market after a certain trend (in this case drop) is already over.

What is the time horizon of this call?

With all the concern regarding inflation, people will want to get their hands on an asset that is completely out of the fiat ecosystem.

BTC fits this bill perfectly and has far more upside potential than gold.

I think that all the signs are here to suggest that BTC will continue to move around the $30-40k corridor for the foreseeable future. A sub-$20k BTC is very unlikely and looks quite absurd right now.

It seems like someone lost a ton of money price went from $30800 (start of this topic) to $41050 (the quoted comment). Let it be a good lesson to those who start going against the market after a certain trend (in this case drop) is already over.  

It seems to me that he is still shorting bitcoin something we know is incredibly dangerous as the price can go up extremely quickly, and while it seems he is using a stop loss we know that there is a lot of slippage when the market is hot.

I find interesting that people short the market as according to my research it is almost impossible to obtain profits with it due to the price of bitcoin mostly going up, the speed at which the crash happens and the slippage which does not allows you to get in at your desired price.
