Hello all,

Slush pool closed my account for no reason and kept the balance.

Is this a common bad practice with Slush?

Thanks.

Wild.

No.  It's a feature.  Accounts can be locked and unlocked. You need to sign a message with your address to unlock it.

If this is a scam accusation, you should put it in the scam accusations section and add more detail.  Have you opened a ticket?

I have a few questions.

Is this a tiny balance say 0.00000010 and has it sat for 2 or 3 years with zero activity?

Or have you actively mined withdrawn and now haver balance like 0.001 or more?

I can see a long time unused account with dust getting closed.

0.0000001 is about $0.0037 under 1 us cent if it sat for years yeah I could see them closing it.

I think they sent emails a few months ago stating that accounts that were inactive for a year will be closed, if that applies to you, then you that's your answer, if not, then they probably suspect your account for being hacked or something, either ways, you should contact them first, if they refuse to grand out access and/or pay your fund, post the proof in scam accusation.

Given Slushpool's reputation, I highly doubt they will "steal" people's funds this way, have you contacted them? what did they say? I believe Artemis3 is an ambassador for BO which is also Slushpool in one way or the other, perhaps he should be of some help.

Hello,

I have the same issue. I contacted them on several occasions. They keep saying they will reopen the account, but it never happens...I had a positive balance too.

I will take further actions too.

While I don't use Slushpool anymore, I did contact someone from their team whom I was in contact with regarding some issues with BO+, he responded pretty quickly and told me that someone will attend to you guys ( I sent them the topic URL), I don't use Slush nor their firmware anymore, but I do have faith in these folks, I think they are genuine and they will refund your funds, but if they don't - I will be the first person to tag their account and support the "victims" of this incident after having heard from both parties.

With that being said, let's just hope that things will work out smoothly.

As noted in the email regarding the new T&C and operating entity change, we have started closing accounts inactive for a very long time (several years) and notifying such users via email.

That said, do not hesitate to contact our support team regarding any questions or assistance related to this topic https://help.slushpool.com/support/tickets/new

I have to say, this is shady.. Many people mine and then hold their coins for long periods of time because they know they will be more valuable in the future.

For Slush Pool to just close accounts based on time is complete crap, and it doesn't make any sense nor does it warrant closure other than a way to collect money.

I personally have been researching a lot of pools and where I should point my devices, and I have been considering Slush Pool as one of my top choices. This has me reconsidering.

Sure folks mine and then hold their coins but-- DO NOT HOLD THEM ON A POOL!!! A pool is not supposed to be used as a wallet... Frankly, keeping any sort of balance on a pool is a horrible idea  Roll Eyes

If you stop mining common sense should tell you to clear any remaining balances ASAP by transferring the payouts to a proper wallet for safe, long-term storage.

As a reminder, pools are not supposed to be equalized as a wallet in terms of function, better transfer the balance to a proper wallet. Bro!
