I think that the current situation will last until the end of the summer at least. After that, I'm hoping to see a recovery starting. Otherwise, I don't know whether we could see $60k again for Bitcoin e.g. in this year.

It is very likely that we are going to see bitcoin again goes to $60k. We might have no idea when it shall happen but for sure that we are going to have that pricing again in the upcoming months.

One of the optimistic predictions that I'm hoping for is that bitcoin gets $100k at the end of this year.

No, this has nothing to do with some random political activity in the world such as the "G7 summit" as you suggest and this is not the first time bitcoin market is calm, they are more common than you'd think. This is also not so boring for those who are accumulating bitcoin at a discount. They love this low price to stay around longer so that they can buy more bitcoin before it launches to the moon.

Exactly, I am really happy that the prices go down because I bought more bitcoin out of my money than I have expected and now I have a lot of bitcoin to accumulate. Also, isn't G7 summit doesn't include a lot of countries so I don't think that it will affect it that much.

The G7 summit may have some effect on crypto currency market because they might discuss how the economy can move forward and the heads of government trying to introduce policies on that too. This may either lead to better adoption or fud in cryptocurrency. Discussing about the policies won't affect the whole crypto market it was the traders doing. What you mean is if they make fud/fomo that would affect the Bitcoin price but G7 summit is just a meeting for politicians they aren't traders. What OP, didn't see is how these small fish traders make money from this volatility that he calls it boring.

Maybe he should consider trading like scalping because it seems that he's a hodler waiting for Bitcoin to reach the $200k. That's an instant profit that would make him rich in a single night.

@ oceat, bro you forgot that politics is a strong hodl to economy. So it can change the direction of economic policies. If government in the discussion spread fud about cryptocurrency, it will definitely change certain government poli.

Lol it is actually surprising how people think cryptocurrency hodling is an instant money doubling mechanism, nope it is not. There are different ways to make money with it like staking, trading your hodlings (that is simply selling and buying back at deep) and that won't be boring as Op said. I think the G7 does not matter much to the cryptocurrency market. I doubt that any decisions regarding the cryptocurrency market will be made there.
After many exciting months, everyone needs a moment to take a deep breath. I think that in 2-3 weeks the interesting action will start again, but in my opinion it has nothing to do with the G7.

The market has periods of decline just like what we’re having now. I don’t think the G7 summit has something to do with it, though, since the price have been tanking for quite some time before the G7 even started. Well, we have had a day or two of breaching $40k again before coming back down. To be honest, I am also not sure what will happen, but the market sentiment does not suggest that investors are not hungry.

I believe this is the best time for whales to accumulate more BTC to their stash so I believe whales are already taking action now.  Then when a piece of good news is released, we will see hype will be everywhere and BTC will get a pump one last time for the whales to get profit from those accumulations before seeing the real boring bear market.

 A regular trader can see the advantage even if the market seemed to be dull. He can always find a way how to make profits out of it. That is, if you are doing this long enough to know some tricks on how to optimize your profits given any type of market condition. You don't need to wait for years just to see potential profits. Even short period of time, you can make something if you know what you're doing. But this of course, is not for all crypto users. Some are just happy to hold long term their coins.
