As for me, it's still better to stick with potential coins rather than putting our trust in coins that are just carried by the hype and being manipulated by huge names.

In some cases a real cut is necessary and you need to get rid of a coin if it turns out that it is just not gonna work. May be hard from time to time to swallow a loss, but it is better to get along with say losing half your money than to lose it all because you are betting on the wrong hope that the coin will make comeback.

If it's really a good project then time will come that the coin will pumped, it's hrd to predict the exact time but the possibilities

Yes, this is a good question cus I feel like to ask same question too, but then I think it's based on hype, shitty projects always depend of hype and speculation to get as much people as possible involved, but legit projects know their worth and prefer to work hard and grow slowly and steady, I think this is why in the beginning, shitty projects fly only to later end in a dump and death of the project, while on the other hand, legit projects always look shitty in the very beginning but at the end, those who trusted it in its shitty days always reap good reward for doing so.

There are better cryptocurrencies like primecoin, peercoin but they are in oblivion. But history puts everything in its place...   

There are actually lots if you do tend to look on the bigger picture but basing off with numbers alone then you would really be finding out to be a tedious task for you to look on them 1 by 1 which would really be that time consuming and people would really be finding of course would be on the newer ones which does signify newer tech but if we do look closely then these old coins are still relevant in terms of functionality and usage which is way more than better compared into those projects nowadays which are only copying the same concept all over again and again.Asking about time for altcoins then there would always be a sure thing for this one./

we will see current dump will be  like 2017 or market could recovery faster than that periode. At this moment all cryptocurrency price drop sharply based on whales playing, i see no reason why we should  sell our assets now. bitcoin and altcoin have strong rellation in market, every bitcoin movement it could give positive or negative effect to altcoin. sometimes they move parallelly and some time have different direction. if bitcoin price keep dropping , it will be bad moment for altcoin . most of them will continue dropping.
