I had a friend, a woman, who lived with much of her family in the Mexican state of Campeche. She was a US citizen, but lived there because it was one of the safest places to live. The local drug cartel took good care of their citizens. And much better care than the Mexican Government. The Government stayed out of that area.

Of course, Belize was only 12 miles away.

CJNG released a video of their "Grupo Elite" otherwise known as special forces team, "outfitted with signal jammers and heavily modified rifles," said atlas.news. The video also shows the unit in what appears to be a bulletproof vehicle.

CJNG released the video (watch here) on the prospects of expanding their control into Naucalpan de Juárez, a city located just northwest of Mexico City in the neighboring State of Mexico. They appear to be threatening local drug lord Nestor Arturo Lopez Arellano, otherwise known as "El 20."

In the video, a Sicario says, "Citizens of Naucalpan. We are already here for one sole objective. And that's for all the cheap and dirty scumbags, the sons of bitches who are collecting fees, and extorting. You're charging a tariff with citizens who work honestly. As well with public transportation workers. This message goes out to you Nestor Arturo Lopez Arellano."

He continued his saying, "We're going to be stationed here in Naucalpan. Regardless of where you choose to run away. We will be right behind you. Because you made the mistake of getting involved with the monster of numerous heads. We respect citizens who work for society. We respect the authorities who do their jobs honestly. But the policemen who are on your side. That have sold themselves out for a miserable sum of money," adding that "They've sold out to stop protecting the honest workers of society. We haven't come here to extort anyone. Much less to keep this fucking drug corridor. We've all come here to take you out. So that the citizens of Naucalpan can be allowed to work without worries." - atlas.news

Get on Google Maps or one of the other search engine maps... maybe Bing. Look at Mexico. Look at the United States. Both of them are shown as separate units. But both of them are shown as being broken into many smaller units.

In different ways both of them are broken into many units. Sometimes the units match the formal "google" states. Other times cities mean more than the states. The point?

The point is the values. The government of Mexico is weaker with relation to its inner divisions than the US is in relation to ITS inner divisions. The reason(s)? Mexico's values aren't built into its foundational governmental writings in the same way that values are built into the US foundational government writings.

I don't know which is better for the people living there, but the Mexico government allows for more freedom for its people. How? Corruption in government is more easily achieved, so the people are often simply ignored if they don't, individually, make a big stink about something. Government people are too busy fighting among themselves. Sure, the people are poor. But they are free among themselves.

So, it isn't surprising that they form their own governments among the cartels and in other ways.

In the US, the strength that the people have to use their government to fight government corruption, usually keeps that corruption to a minimum (sort of). So, US people are more easily united under their government to remain free thereby. It's this freedom that has made them lax, so the people don't see how government corruption is on the verge of taking them over.

However, the US has its divisions in the militia, and in other ways. Fed Gov corruption is about to be controlled by the people in the US... if the people act in a timely manner.

Well said. You are right there are whole towns and regions controlled by the drug cartels. If it wasn't for the government corruption I think I could live under the cartels if they weren't violent as crazy as that sounds. I just think the US is turning into China or a better comparision Soviet Russia or WWII Germany. People die but they are brushed under the cracks while at least the drug cartels have the courtesy to say it to your face by putting a gun in it.

I think it might be some kind of contraction (without apostrophes) of Black and Decker, the power tool manufacturer.
