I am reporting them every day, but it seems like it does not affect them in any way.
Even if they get banned they will just create new account and start all over again.
If they see it as a business and do it on an ongoing basis, I don't think they'll care if their account gets banned, because obviously they can create a new account whenever  Cheesy although people who are banned will get banned again when they use another account on this forum and are discovered, but for those spam elements that way, people usually ignore it rather than care too much like you  Cheesy

In the marketplace section there are a lot of newbies who are bumping their threads more than once in 24h time period.
I am reporting them every day, but it seems like it does not affect them in any way.
Even if they get banned they will just create new account and start all over again.

example: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5344034.0
https://loyce.club/archive/members/332/3324652.html
There are a lot of more guys like this.

Isnt there any other method to prevent them doing so?
Is there any other section which have same problem?

The only thing that could be done would require some extra coding such as only one of their posts per day would actually bump their thread in the sub. There's something similar in the Alt Coin Ann board as there was a similar issue of shitcoins spamming their thread to the top constantly. Maybe deleted posts in that board should be shown only to mods so it can be spotted easier. They could be expunged from mod view after x amount of days maybe a week or so). For now you'll just have to keep reporting them.

It's good that you pointed it out. You got the member banned and nuked. All his posts and sale threads are now gone and that will give him something to think about. He now has a choice to either keep coming back creating new accounts and breaking the rules, which will get him banned again, or he can start respecting the game and doing things properly.

filtering forums from the fraudulent actions they commit should indeed be improved. because what they do is deliberately done in order to deceive us. although the detector always detects it, it is very difficult to use a large number of new accounts. This task is not only for moderators to block their accounts, at least we must continue to work together so that this forum is not used as an arena for actions that harm others.

It's good that you pointed it out. You got the member banned and nuked.
I would hate to see someone banned for this reason to be honest. Repeating such activity would certainly get someone banned but if they are a high quality respected member, instead I would PM them and notify them about the rules. This has happened last year, a Legendary member was bumping their thread within 24 hours of the previous bump. After noticing that, I PMed him and he said he was not aware of the rules.

A few moderators will reach out to someone that is repeatedly breaking the rules that they suspect they are doing unknowingly. Obviously, depending on the actual infringement. Although, users should take it under their own responsibility to know the rules of the forum that they are posting on. That's just general courtesy.

Although, every time a reply is deleted they get a message quoting it. So, I would assume that they would either look up the rules if this kept happening to them or reach out to someone. Otherwise, they likely don't care that they may have been breaking the rules.

I am not advocating that members who aren't aware of the rules be banned for multiple thread bumps in a 24-hour period, and I wouldn't like to see that either. But this is different. OP said in his OP that those users keep coming back with new accounts creating the same threads and doing the same bumping activities after their old accounts get banned. That shows that they don't care about the rules, they don't care about the reasons their previous accounts got banned, and they will continue doing the same things over and over again. That in my opinion deserves a ban.

He got banned today when I reported him 2nd time.
There are many other who I reported yesterday and they continue today.

Newbies create accounts, they are doing this kind of activity without following any rules. I also follow that they are bumping without waiting 24 hours. Now that the user's account has been banned, he may try to find out why his account has been banned, if he understands the reason then he will refrain from such activities in future.
But I think he will create a new account and come back to the forum and work as before, because the change between them does not come easily.

I am sure he is clever enough to know why his account his banned and he might have farm of newbie accounts to continue this act of spam.
There are some boards where simple bumping does not work to move the thread on top of the board. Is it time to replicate this rule through out the forum  Huh

If they do it again and again, probably ignoring them is the best option because they don't seem to worry too much about being banned and I think ignoring them is going to discourage them later on. You know how some people deal with clout chasers? This is the same as this one, don't mind them and their stunts will get crazy but they will eventually stop.

I don't know whether he got banned permanently or for a week.
But as you say, it is like never-ending spam.
They will never stop creating other accounts to bump the promotion or their thread. Whatever we are reporting, they will again appear with other accounts. Although actually we have known and realized that they are same person/business.
This is actually a bad promoting idea.
I am wondering, they are easily creating an account here.
Or maybe they are done by bots, so they only focus to post without wondering the quality or even the replies by the members here.  Sad

I assume it would have a small impact but might be worth adding the rules thread in the automated message received. Even if 3% read it's still a win.
Bolded the extra part

Ignoring this problem wont solve it or make any other positive path.
They wont stop and are still doing it.
It's a perpetual battle then because if you don't ignore, they get the drive to shit post much more and create more account but if you do the opposite, they will come to a certain point where they will get tired because people don't get worked up over their stunts and might get disheartened in the long run.

I think you're confusing trolls with users that are trying to bump up their threads for visibility. Trolls feed on the reaction of users, but those that are bumping their thread mainly do it to get their service or goods some attention. Ignoring the excessive bumping means that they just get to continue doing it, and getting their product/service out there, without any repercussions.

Excessive bumping, and continuously ignorance towards the rules will likely get them banned. However, for first time offenders, and one offs its usually just deleted, and maybe the moderator will send a message to the offender.
