I dont know if its me or what, ive tried so many different configurations and i have a server downstairs running windows 10 with a full btc node installed but im unable to get it to communicate with outside servers via json rpc, it works if i run xampp on localhost..

For my projects safety i just purchased a digitalocean vps + 500gb volume, 80$ a month, I have this server downstairs and im at a crossroads.

Basically, i would either need help or i would need to pay someone to just fix these errors im experiencing, Any advice? Is there a place where i can pay someone to troubleshoot/setup rpc?

Ensure that Windows firewall and your router's firewall are not blocking port 18332, the RPC port. Windows in particular likes to block all of a program's incoming connections unless you set the network setting for that program to "Home" or "Work" or something like that.

Open your web administrator panel from your VPS provider and check if there is any firewall. Many VPS-es have their ports blocked by default and you have to add exceptions manually for each port.

What is the current contents of your bitcoin.conf? Specifically, what settings did you use to enable the RPC server? Huh

It'll most likely be an incorrect setting in your conf, or it'll be some weird firewall issue... note that you would need to check OS, router, VPS and/or ISP firewall setups as any of those could be filtering the connections to that port.

Why are you wanting to call RPC commands remotely? This can be very risky if you have any bitcoin on your server wallet via bitcoin core. Allowing remote RPC access from your VPS will result in the potential for your bitcoin being stolen if your VPS is compromised, but a malicious actor could also trick your local server into allowing it to execute a RPC command.

IMO, it would be better to have your VPS run core locality and you can automatically transfer to your cold wallet or wallet on your local server if the VPS wallet balance exceeds a threshold you are comfortable with.
