Unfortunately, there's no way for you to retrieved your old wallet if you don't know the password.

How about the seed phrase though? have you save it? If yes, then there is a possibility that you can restore your wallet and create a new password. But in worst case scenario, if you lost both of them, then zero chance for you to recover your BTC. Sorry to burst the bubble for you.

Before you store your wallet with coins you must educate yourself on the proper handling of your wallet and private key, everything depends on your private key and passphrase, you lose it, you lose your coins, if it's only a password you can recover as long as you have your private key and password, the hardest thing is losing both of these.

There is no guarantee but I read a paid wallet recovery service offered by a good member but I cannot find it. I'll get back to you with a link to that. Be careful if you receive a random PM because there are plenty of hackers/scammers roaming here and some have fallen victim.

Did you lose the password needed to encrypt the wallet, the one that is asked when you try to open the wallet?

Or did you lose the seed phrase?

If you are talking about the first one, then you can use the seedphrase (assuming that you did not lose that) to set up the wallet on a different system and set up a new encryption password there.

If you lost the seedphrase, then  there is very little chance that you would be able to recover the wallet.

It is run by one of the forum members and is trusted among the users in the forum. But there is no guarantee that they will be able to recover the seedphrase.

If you have the private keys, you can access your wallet for sure, the password is just the encryption for your wallet.file but when you have private keys then you can import it to any wallet or electrum itself.

If you wrote down your seed phrase there is a possibility of accessing back your wallet with it's coin intact but if you misplaced this as well then you just lost a huge fortune and I'm afraid you have to start all over again. It's hard to admit but that just the whole truth about blockchain. Unlike the centralized system of banking. In Crypto currency there are no central regulation you are the full custodian of your coins except you choosed to trust it with an exchange wallet which is non custodian

Do you have any slight idea of what your password might be?

If you have the general idea of it, eg. list of passwords, patterns of your passwords, positions of the alphabets and numbers, you can probably try out BTCrecover[1]. It can take sometime and would probably work only if you have a general sensing of what the password is.
