Hello,
I need help with my AvalonMiner. I have 12 units of AvalonMiner 1066, recently all miners stopped hashing.
I have reached out to a technician and I was asked to upgrade the firmware which I did but the problem still continues.
I have attached image of the dashboard screen to this post.https://i.postimg.cc/cL3HCH68/photo-2021-06-20-12-57-07.jpg

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

If all 12 units stopped hashing at the same time then it's likely a pool/network-related issue, can you try a different pool? I don't have AvalonMiner but with Antminers you can ping the pool using the miner, I suppose Avalon would have even more network troubleshooting tools.

Thank you for your response, I have tried switching from sluspool to Binance pool but still the same issue.
I have attached the log file to this post for better reference. I'll appreciate any help I can get greatly

Can you try to restart the router or your internet modem and then try again to switch on another pool don't mine on Binance but try to mine on ViaBTC or F2pool.

You can also check this list of pools here https://miningpoolstats.stream/bitcoin

Thank you for providing this solution but unfortunately, it didn't work. And I've still not found any solution
Please can anyone suggest any repair location that is close to Nigeria. My only option now is sending them back to China which is quite far.
I'll appreciate further inputs. Thanks

Considering you say all 12 miners are offline odds are this is not a problem with the miner hardware. Either your router does not work (can you access the internet from a PC connected to it?) or it is possible your internet provider is blocking them. Can you run through a VPN to bypass any filtering your ISP might be doing?

Thanks for your response. I have some bitmain connected to the router and they work perfectly.
And I have also checked if my ISP is blocking the ports but they're not.
There are not so many miners in my country so it's difficult finding help here. It's very frustrating having all my big miners down at the same time

Definitely weird. Again with all 12 going down it is highly unlikely something broke in all 12 of them at the same time. Something is hinky about their connection to the network.

Question: From the A10 on up the Avalons support running 1 network cable between the router/switch and then daisy-chaining more miners onto that 1 connection by using both LAN ports on the miner. eg, router > miner1 > miner2 > miner3 > etc. Are you doing that or does each miner have its own cable running to the router/switch? Folks have had issues with doing the daisy-chain configuration.

Is it possible for you to move 1 miner to a different location and try it from a different network connection?

I'm not doing the chain connection, Each miner is connected individually to the router.
I also feel is a network issue so I have already tried three different internet providers. But I still keep getting same error ( Network status 0-ms)
If I could get connected to an experienced Avalon technician on here I'll be very grateful. So I can troubleshoot one last time before sending them off for repairs.

Can you take one unit to another location, for a test,
and set it up from the scratch by following my guide?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5164326

In your log sample, it shows ECHU 130173.
ECHU stands for error code hashing unit.
130173 is a bit sum, 1 + 130172.

You can find description for error 1 and error 130172 here, see Table 4 ----> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3224256

At this point there is not much else I know to say about your 1066..

Edit: One more thing came to my mind,
are you sure that your internet service provider hasn't started blocking mining?

I've heard of such blocking happening in some countries.

That is why I suggested to try running through a VPN as a test. If the country is having the ISP's block mining why the Bitmain miners can connect is odd but it's possible something about the Avalons trips the barriers while the Bitmain ones do not.

Also of course if the pool allows ports other than 3333, try different ports.

If the internet block is done on the port itself, try mining to port 80 or 443 on a pool (my pool allows other ports also)

Thanks for your response. I think the one thing I'm yet to try is mining via VPN and that's because I do not know how to do that.
Can you direct me on how to do that?

Thanks for your response. I think the one thing I'm yet to try is mining via VPN and that's because I do not know how to do that.
Can you direct me on how to do that?
That I do not know so you will most likely have to do a search for it. Most of what I've seen about VPN's suggests that you will need to setup a pc/laptop to act as a bridge running the VPN and connect the miners to that.

Many routers (including the cheap ones)have VPN functionalities built-in, you just need a proper VPN service that is compatible with the protocol your router supports, I think NordVPN does not have l2tp and pptp anymore so if those protocols are the only option, you are going to need to use a different VPN, but all in all, it's not that complicated to set up.

The other option would be going through your PC, I wrote this step-by-step guide on how to do that, while it may seem like it's a lot of steps, it's rather simple even if you have no clue about networks and how they work.
