Yes, by joining signature campaign but try to be a full member to be able to join signature campaign. You can try and visit the altcoins bounty board too if you like social media bounty campaigns, but with you you posted, you want signature campaign.

You earn merits by contributing to the forum with quality discussions and threads that other users can learn and benefit from. When someone deems your posts meaningful enough, they'll reward you with merits. If your strengths lie in trading, listen to Upgrade00 and check out the trading sub-board. Start out by discussing what you know best and then expand your interests to other fields.

Remember not to plagiarize and make it look like other people's work is your own. You will be banned for that.

Use your logic. If that were true there would be no other forum ranks other than Newbie.  

My viewpoint is that the merits are awarded to members who have excelled in a particular area and shared their expertise with the community. If you don't have any skills, you won't be able to contribute in a meaningful way to the forum community, so you won't be able to gain merits.

For earnings on the forum, I'm not sure. I think it's a privilege only for senior members.

That may be true but don't  let that be your motivation or primary objective of being here. Having that mindset would definitely affect your perception of the forum and therefore affect your performance. I'm sure you were also told that you can learn about cryptocurrencies and blockchain tech in the forum for free. Forget what you heard about earning, and focus on improving your knowledge on crypto. I'm sure you'd be interested in the trading section.

No, that's not true, as long as your post is of high quality in the sense that your post is useful and considered good, you will get merit. I started this account as brand new until now I was able to move up to FM because of the useful pot. How to? I try to position myself to always be useful in the forum. This means that we can provide solutions to problems. We can get this by diligently reading, especially regarding forums, because reading is the main factor in increasing your knowledge.

Welcome to this forum. Wish you best of luck. To reach the big place I only suggest you to don't stop in middle stage. Just keep going ahead. And don't think about money in the beginning stage. Hopefully you will reach on your destination.

That's not true, the forum is still newbie-friendly.

You don't have to focus on earning merit. You should do what the post above stated that you have to create posts or threads that is constructive or high quality posts and you'll earn merit and achieve higher rank. In my opinion, the one who told you that you can earn here is somehow partially wrong about it. This forum is not made as a money making platform. There is no such thing as free as you have to work hard for it. I am once a newbie like you but what I have achieved now is because of those people who have helped me (too many to mention).

If you want to earn merit, you have to contribute to this forum. If you post well enough and those posts are informative, then merit sources will give you merit if they think that post deserves merit. You should post according to your talent which will help others in one way or another.

And if you lack knowledge, you try to learn new things. Use your talents in the right way without giving too much priority to earning merit, then one day you will see that you will not lack merit. I shared these points from my experience.

Welcome to the forum, OP.
To get a merit, first you should rid of that mindset that "you're gonna earn here" because this is a forum and not an earning platform. That mindset will hinder you to even earn a single merit, because for sure one would pursue earning money over writing good posts.
If your post history is just full of bounty reports, don't expect people to give you a single merit even if you have older posts that are non-bounty reports because no one would ever bother scrolling and going page by page of one's post history from that.
It is like finding a tiny diamond covered in turd/crap. My apology for that kind of analogy, but it is how I see.

Newcomers are given merits, maybe "the one that told you" cannot earn merits because s/he is leaned too much in pursuing bounties or earning in here.

It's quite so many times this question posted it here, you need to use the search button first before you will post this idea. All you wanted to know is on the pinned thread above or know as here. Big place or a  chance that you will learn more in trading that could probably be made your mistakes away.

It's quite hard to understand and I suggest you to read it first. Most of the sticky threads on different questions to test yourself.
