I may not agree on what these influencers shill but I still appreciate the fact that they usually put disclaimers on their videos like "DYOR" or "NFA". You should have followed that too instead of buying blindly.

With or without advice from the influencers, you should always do your own research of that token. Don't just simply buy that token because of the influencer's attractiveness, beauty or showcasing his/her lifestyle, etc. Mark Cuban is a good example. He has a big influence on Twitter, and yet he shilled a rug pull project like Iron Finance in which most of his followers are going to give it a go and buy that token. As a result, because of not doing his own research and the coin plunges from $64 to zero nada, he lost a lot and so as his followers who just bought that token without DYOR.

No matter what, always DYOR even if that influencer didn't mention that in his or her video.

I think you draw the wrong conclusion on every what you hear and find so you lose a lot of assets. You need your own analysis if you want to invest in crypto. What people say is not necessarily true. Crypto is very volatile, and it is easy to lose a lot of money, and it is also easy to make a profit.

If you were on this forum, you would very well know that a lot of projects have thein bounty campaigns on youtube through this forum. While most of the bounty programs here are trustworthy (but again DYOR), there are a few of the bounty programs that turn out to be scams. While most such scam are flagged off early, there is a good possibility that this is not flagged of at the earliest and ultimately leads to you losing your money.

Most youtubers are shilling without knowing the fact that a particular coin is just a scam and hence you can't blame them either.

I do not know much about mexican police/cartel situation, I mean I know as much as a regular person from another nation, sure there are cartels and sure police is both working with them but also afraid of them, I wouldn't be able to try to finish them neither, remember colombia? Anyone who ever tried to go against Colombian drug cartels got killed (or so I watched on netflix narcos ) so I can't really say what is going on with that.

However at the end of the day I know youtube channels and influencers, they just get paid and when they get paid they can promote anything. They are even worse, if mexican police goes against cartel that means there is a chance they could get killed, whereas influencers can just say no to all the weak products but they just like money and accept it and promote those things. Which is why I believe there is something even worse about them.

That’s too risky to depend on any youtube tutorials or investment advices because you don’t know if they are just doing it because they are being paid or they are doing the reviews to tell everything about the project. If you are going to invest you have to do your own research to avoid this possible losses. You have to be careful and always do your due diligent whenever you can because it is very necessary,  if you are making this post base on the market Situation, there is no need for that since market dip is not something that will stay forever,  if you don't sell cheap you won't lose money,  the only thing you can do now is exercise patience till this period passes.

It's no news that majority of the videos we find on this media outlets are been sponsored. To you it's their honest opinion but they have different motivate why those videos are uploaded. It's now left for us to always carry out our own research to differentiate between the good and bad advices.

Influencer is a human who wants to fulfil their greed, if they got a good money offer from a project to shill for it of course some of them(not generalizing) just gonna do that.

Sorry for you lose mate but I hope next time, you must have your own research and don't rely upon other's opinion. This is a very common problem and yes, only naive and lazy investors will fall into their trap if there's proper research first.

New projects as your investment are very risky, spend your time searching for possible leaks of fraud before putting your money.

Its been here long time ago, even before we can make smart contract on ethereum. And this is happen to stock market too. The good developer with good project goals will win somehow. 2017-2018 there are many shill and new project which now at top 100 coinmarketcap. Lets take swissborg, dent for example. Track the thread about them here in btt.

I'm sorry to hear that you lost money because of them. However, I don't recommend investing based on other people's opinions. Especially some guy/girl on youtube. Yeah, you can consider their opinion on certain cryptocurrencies, but you should always dyor and come with your own thought processes. This is how you get smarter and your bank account will probably also be grateful.

I know a couple of pretty insightful youtubers that actually provide value instead of looking for fast affiliate marketing gains. They are not promoting shitcoins though AFAIK, but providing trading knowledge.

It is sad to hear that you lost money but you should never take advices from random social media personalities as you cannot trust their advises and most of the time they will promote if they are paid to do so and we have seen many influencers promoting scam projects in the past and it will continue like that in the future, so always be cautious while taking advices from any influencer .
