they are aware that their partners Classybeef
[...]
their other partners on Twitch TrainswreckTV

Where does Stake say these are "their partners"? Or do the "partners" claim that? I hope you realize there is a difference.

Responsible gambling control: I do not know how other crypto casinos work but compared to any other online casino they have 0 responsible gambling control in place. I have played on stake.com for a period of weeks playing over 12hours/day , wagering over 160.000$ and depositing over 50.000$ with a total incurred loss of between 4000$-4500$ on the cryptocurrency prices in April. I am in no measure to gamble this amount of money and it was of course never flagged to ask for KYC, to ask if i can afford to play this amount of money or if I'm comfortable with gambling those huge amounts. Due to my mental state i never even realised what happened until it was all over and i have lost it all.

They actually asked you to accept their TOS and you not only deliberately broke it, but also deceived the site by using a VPN. If they asked you if you can afford to gamble you would have lied too.

I'm trying to feel sorry for you here but you need to fix this on your side. Start by not having access to $50k and get professional help.

They are Stake's affiliates with hundreds of thousands of viewers. They get money from Stake and their affiliates and actively promote and market the website.
It would be a bit of denial on their part to not admit what is going on besides the scenes when they offer Leaderboards, paid giveaways etc. together.
And also if that would have been the issue and i ''lied'' the sensible thing would be to tell their afiliates to stop actively encouraging and teaching people how to use VPN's and saying you can play on Stake from the US/UK.
I am aware I broke the ToS but so did stake by allowing their marketers, partners encourage this.
Alas all I was looking for was an official answer from Stake's management team or from their gambling license but it is impossible to get in touch.

Thanks for your response

To be fair, I bet there are many, many people (including members of this forum) who use a VPN in order to get around restrictions.  In OP's case, though I don't think it was a good move because he's a self-admitted problem gambler, I don't think what he did was so wrong that I'd condemn him for it.  That's just me, however.  You can condemn away.

If I'm understanding his post correctly, he lost a lot of money on stake.com but didn't get scammed by them, just ignored by their customer service department--which could eventually be resolved in time, right?  If that's the case, no matter how sympathetic I feel for OP and his gambling problem, it isn't any casino's responsibility to prevent you from doing harm to yourself, at least not legally as far as I know.  That's true for real-life casinos, and you'd better believe it's true for online ones as well.  They don't give a shit that you lost big time, and in fact I'm sure if they were to speak the truth they'd say they were happy about it.

OP, no one aside from family is ever going to coddle you in this world, and I can't even say you're lucky if your family even does that since it doesn't prepare you for the harsh realities of life.  This money that you lost is the warning that you wanted from stake.com.  It's an expensive warning and lesson, no doubt, but make sure you heed it and get help with your gambling problem.  Sounds like it's only going to get worse if it doesn't get better soon.

I'd say it's ok as long as one accepts full responsibility. The OP doesn't. If the OP had won money do you think we'd have this thread complaining about VPNs and whatnot?

it isn't any casino's responsibility to prevent you from doing harm to yourself, at least not legally as far as I know.

The casino is supposed to prevent self-excluded gamblers from using the site but if the gambler is deliberately trying to avoid detection there is not much the casino can reasonably do. Not to mention that the UK is on the list of Stake's prohibited countries to begin with, and Stake (nor other business names associated with it) is not on the GAMSTOP list, so it's really hard to figure out what exactly the OP expected to happen here.

The OP might have a somewhat legit claim against the affiliates but good luck suing some kids on Twitch.

First of all I'm sorry you had a bad experience,

In terms of responsible gambling, stake support demonstrated how you could self-exclude your account which I believe you did. However it is unfortunate that the team did not pickup that you were not in your right mind. The website has grown tremendously the past year and it has been a challenge to try and keep up with every single player,  we try to offer self-service options but we'll review this and try to do better in the future.

Your complaint to me seems centered around being denied a monthly bonus. My question is did you reveal to Stake support that you were accessing from a banned location and thus your account was banned?

As far as an affiliate telling you that you could access from a banned jurisdiction I would be interested if you would PM me the chat logs you had with them. That is not something that we allow our affiliates to do. If you can do that then I'll personally follow up and see if I can do anything about your complaint regarding the monthly. In the future if you have any questions you should ask stake support not an affiliate, stake support would have immediately told you that you cannot access from your location.

While still coping with my loss sustained on stake.com I think it's worth to talk about their registering practices, how they break their own ToS, their gambling license that is a phantom one and there is no way to contact them.

I am a problem gambler from the UK and starting June 2020 I managed to ban myself from all gambling licensed websites using Gamstop for a period of 5 years. This year around may browsing on twitch i came across the Classybeef gambling channel. They advertised Stake.com and they said that you can definitely play there from the UK. I contacted their support and they told me that you can play on Stake.com and have to use a VPN and to use their affiliate program. They even taught me how to use a VPN which one to get and i registered without a issue even though Stake's ToS : JURISDICTIONS. Persons located in or reside in the United States, cw, Syrian Arab Republic, Islamic Republic Of Iran, The Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Australia, Portugal, Serbia or Slovakia (the ”Prohibited Jurisdictions”) are not permitted to make use of the Service even though they are aware that their partners Classybeef encourage and even teach how to use VPN and they say it's allowed and their other partners on Twitch TrainswreckTV with an average of 30.000 viewers is playing from Austin Texas and so did XQCoW while actively promoting their website. So they can just close your account at any time from playing form a banned country while actively encouraging people from US/UK to play on their website while using VPNs through their partners.

Customer support:
I have contacted stake.com support due to my issue and at the time I was feeling suicidal and depressed and i am still going through therapy for it now. I asked their support by email to close my account immediately and the answer I got was that '' do it yourself on the website''. I was in great distress and couldn't even think properly so i repeatedly asked them by email to close it and they finally did it after one week. I asked to at least get my monthly bonus for the huge amount I wagered to have some money back but of course it was refused.
I submitted an official complaint to Stake.com afterwards about what i have been going through in April and they said it has been escalated to the management team. Since then i have contacted them on a weekly basis and their only answer was that someone is looking into it and i will get an official answer soon. It has been more than 2 months and all i asked for was an official answer from the management team to know how to proceed forward.

Gambling license: Seeing that I am completely ignored by Stake.com i asked support for their official gambling license contact form. At the time there was no gambling license on the website and they told me that they can't help me because it is changing. In the meantime Stake.com switched to Antillephone gaming license. After going through several websites i have finally found some contact details for them. I tried contacting them by email, live chat( always not available), skype.com or phone number. After more than 1.5 weeks there is still no way to find any meaningful way to get in contact with them.

In the end I just have to move forward but there is 0 regulations for Stake.com and they seem to be in their own bubble completely ignoring any customers and there is no way to hold them responsible for anything. Their management team did not even bother to give me an official answer even though I have been going through a nightmare for the past couple of months. (can also provide all screenshots with stake.com and classybeef support).

I don't mean to hold you responsible but here you are wrong, I have myself visited numerous streams of Edward, the supposed owner of stake and he clearly said, you may use a VPN to access stake and if anything that is an invitation and suggesting others how to access from banned countries.

Regarding bonuses, while you are not obliged to pay a user their bonus, you should because you show those lucrative offers and if you deny someone their monthly bonus or any bonus, you should give them a fitting answer.

There are countless people suggesting how to use stake.com and they are your affiliates, one such example - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SzBwmIYpYbg

You are giving them the ability to offer users $1/day too which clearly means they are special affiliates and you are well aware of it.

Here is another guy and even roobet is doing such things - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=krOM5WJX6d8

I am not against these practices just you should be more open to this approach instead of creating a grey area.

He has also said many many times he is from australia which is another country stake is not supposed to operate in.
While i understand technically he is not a 'player' on stake, he always says he uses vpn.

How much did you lose during this week from the moment you asked to close your account until after 1 week when the account got closed? Did you lose a lot during this week?

If you did then you could have a case claiming these losses back because they have a responsibility to close the account immediately upon request without allowing you to keep on betting.
