Anyone else follow world events closely? It seems like there is more and more disasters, mostly manmade, by the day. Along with the threats of war, plagues, and general environmental decline.
I'm not trying to post one of those 'the sky is falling' threads, but if you look closely there's a lot of negative events coming at us from many different angles.

Disasters that are man made? I think of it as a conspiracy.

I've thought of it before when I was younger but now that I'm grown up, they're all conspiracy theories.

"Survival of the fittest", so if you want to survive then we have to face all these and this is how the life of living things since the beginning of the mankind, even before that. And if the current form of us can't survive then the evolution will happen and we will adapt to that condition which is going to last long, anyway this may not going to happen in a year or two it take few thousands decades for a minor change.

It seems that more bad things are happening nowadays then 20 or 50 years ago. It is my subjective feelings and try might be skewed. We also need to look at how the world changed in the last 50 years. Humanity became so much more connected thanks to the Internet and smart phones. Within hours we can inform now the whole world that something bad is happening, while in the past this took weeks.

The world is falling apart due to governments treating people like prisoners due to the corona virus. It’s not even that bad, it isn’t like the bubonic plague is it, the death rate is tiny when compared to infection numbers.  Governments are destroying so many lives with the restrictions, economies are ruined, it’s ridiculous.

Humans are the reason why the world is dying now , we tend to hurt our environment without even give caring most of the time.
so mentioning about world being falling apart is indeed what happening now.

The world is falling apart due to governments treating people like prisoners due to the corona virus. I am not too often follow the news on the television, internet or other media. But what I am concern about is the covid that still increase, the social distancing applied in many places, the government wants to vaccinate their people. But maybe what you say is right as we know that humans create many things, including disasters in many countries. But no matter what happened out there, we need to survive in any situation and ready for the next thing that can happen.

That's not the real reason. This has always happened, and no less than now. It's just that the Internet has developed to such an extent that it has become difficult to hide anything from the public.

Did something happen to gravity? Centrifugal force causes the bulge around the equator and the flattening of the Poles... as it counters gravity. the earth is about a 5% flatter between the Poles than it is at the equator... about 400 miles.

BONUS: Mount Everest is considered to be the highest mountain in the world. But Mount Chimborazo is actually higher. Why? Because of the earth's equatorial bulge.

Considering sea level, Everest is highest. But considering the furthest distance from the center of the earth, Chimborazo is higher.

Covid-19 is just one concern which the world is facing. There are lot of other things going on in the world which leads to the destruction of mankind. The middle-east situation specially mini war in Gaza and  Hamas is hidden from anyone. I fear that we are heading towards a world war in the near future.

It is obvious that the world’s population will continue to grow. However, we also need to grow in caring as well as balancing our resources. The best way is that as humans we should maintain a healthy balance between keeping the balance between how many children we have, and the impact we have on our world.

expect many of these in the future mate. People only care for themselves (I must admit i sometimes one of those) and caring for the environment is the least on their list.
so what we need is act as concern and let them learn what is the importance of our world and how they must let this stay or else their next generation will never see the beauty on this again.

Exactly! Like from movies and TV series, we may not be the only intelligent specie not only in this planet, but from other planets around us. We are just consumed by our own idea that we are the only living intelligent specie here. These natural disasters will happen again and again, and we can't stop those from happening. Just accept the fact that this is part of the evolution of our planet.

Life is indeed full of mysteries, therefore what happens in this world is not a coincidence. There is a very large power that governs the life of
the world, we humans are indeed a small part of all things created in this world. Although there is no solid evidence, but I believe humans are
not the only species that has the intelligence to be able to inhabit this planet. There is even a possibility that there are other species that lived
before humans, therefore with the passage of time one by one the mysteries of this world will begin to open.
