Sorry for the noob question but if the mining goes on outside of China, isn't that a good thing? At the very least, there is the semblance of law and business rights. Also, if China bans mining, wouldn't that increase the scarcity?
Again, not a veteran. Just wondering why the negative sentiment?

I don't think that a Bitcoin mining ban in China will increase the scarcity of Bitcoin.
A crypto mining ban in China will create some short term problems, like transaction fees and confirmation time going up for a while. The mining difficulty will be adjusted and the transaction fees will return back to normal.
I don't see any negative sentiment about crypto miners going outside of China-The FUD coming from China will stop and all the noobs, who are complaining about Bitcoin being too centralized, because of the Chinese miners(which is false),will have to shut up.

Thats what they are doing . i saw news on twitter some of those mining rigs are shipped overseas and one of them is also to the usa. china government strictly prohibits bitcoin mining on a large scale. because there are many new companies that are specifically only for mining this bitcoin.

yeah i agree with you mate because it's always a short term when it comes china problems, and it cannot really increase scarcity of bitcoin and i believe that as well, because it's very obvious base what's the results in the market at this moment and it's enough proofs that such negative news from that country can't make any bad things again for bitcoin or should i say not anymore...

I do have the same question but I think that we have to worry about it because overtime, other countries will take the burden that China has left on the mining sector of bitcoin.

I can't say moving bitcoin mining from China is a bad thing, because bitcoin is not only centered in China, there are still many other countries that are better than China, even if China really banned mining I think bitcoin would be better, because it's already experiencing scarcity, so by itself, the price of bitcoin will continue to rise..

Although China has banned bitcoin mining the ban is the most understandable economic background in china. Withdrawing currency from the country is not so easy and depends on whether the chinese economic miracle will leave this ordinary chinese yuan can be removed from the country with two economic havens in hong kong and Macau with conventional losses. In fact it is much easier to export goods than money depending on china's commodity economy and bitcoin basically opposes this economic system becoming destructive for it.
