One of my rigs is running hot and I'm trying to get more air flow by adding fans in front to pull heat away from the rig. The fans have Molex connectors. Is there a hub that connects all of these together? Should I get the Corsair Commander Pro? Are those Molex male pins in the image?

Looks good and I'm sure it can power the fans, they are just fans mate so whatever or whichever one you decide to go with will work well, I use table fans for my rigs that have high temp and that works good too

Fans will not cool good if room temperature is above 30C.
Best easy cooling is air conditioner if you have cheap electricity of course.

why so expensive? Take this for 1.5€ for 8 fans. You can change the speed from 0 to low and fullspeed. Work fine for me for the last 3 years.

I find air conditioner to cool a mining room a little bit strange.  Cheesy A good air ventilation is the better choice.

I do have A/C running in another room but not in my rig room. It would get expensive, and I don't have enough electricity, since I am using it for the video cards.

If the room temperature is to high you need to cool the room first, then worry about circulation around the rig.
One room fan can ventilate a rack of GPUs, computer case fans aren't powerful enough to dissipate that much heat.

Space your GPUs further apart and go to Home Depot and buy those square box fans and point it towards the rig. This is what I did for most of my rigs and never had issues with high heat.

You can use those low power tiny computer fans however it'll be less effective and it will cost you more since you need to buy a controller for all 6 fans. Unless you are good with soldering and crimping to make your own custom cable to power those fans directly with your PSUs +12V.

You can also point your rig towards a window and put the fan in an area so it directs heat outside your place.

-snip-
See the plastic part below the pins?
That's what you should follow, your fans' connector should have a specific space where that part fits,
so even if the 4th pin isn't available, as long as the other three are in correct position, the fans will work.

The fourth pin (control) is for speed control, the third (sense) is for speed detection, but that device itself has a speed control switch so the fourth pin isn't necessary.

BTW, the comments about using a regular desktop fan works wonders.

This might sounds strange but it is what it is, in my home a room is more hotter than the other, I don't noticed this at first but after hours of continuous mining the temp grow higher so I noticed that the sun sets exactly on that one room for hours so I switch and the high temp disappeared.

I used such hub. I connected 3 delta and they worked fine. It has 3 positions - stop at the center and low speed and high speed around the ages.

These are 4 pin, not molex. What mining software do you use? I know guys who manufacture Autofan hubs that work in HiveOS. There are other small scale manufacturers too, but most of their hubs can only be controlled via Windows apps. Manual control versions exist too, but usually Aliexpress stuff doesn't last long and doesn't hold enough amperage.

This is the fastest and most proven method.
I never buy adapters if I can do it myself. You can purchase a fan controller if you need it, for example STW-6041 for fine tuning of powerful fans
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002826477784.html

But scissors and duct tape will still come in handy.

These are only capable of handling 2.8A max, which is enough for 1 fan  Smiley

I've got a box fan in the window pushing air out, and 2 box fans behind the rigs pushing air through them. I thought it might help to have the small fans in front to try and pull air through the cards like the setup on this veddha frame. It's fluctuating between  90° and  100° F where I live and the cards on my bottom rig are running a little warmer than I would like.

https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/3M8AAOSwZHRgAQiw/s-l640.jpg

Does anybody know what they use on this frame to run those fans?

I'm going to try another box fan and set it up to push cooler air (from a room with air conditioning) into the rig room. Hopefully that will help. I have 10 of these small fans with Molex connectors and just thought it might help. It seems like fans can have 3-pin, 4-pin, molex etc connectors, making it more challenging to find the solution.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Maybe take a photo of your rig and we can see what we are dealing with. Generally GPUs unless there is extreme heat or they are too close to one another, rarely overheat. I could get away without even box fans on most of my rigs, maybe a GPU would run hotter than normal without the fan but shouldn't overheat to the point of shutting down. Maybe your fan and heatsink is full of dust and might need to be cleaned.

Regarding the fans. There are 4 pins, one is for +12V, one is for ground, one is for tachometer and the other is to control the fan speed. All you need to get them to spin at full speed is +12V and ground, rest you can leave unplugged and they will always run. They got different connectors but you can usually find an adapter somewhere to switch between the pins and molex.
