Simple, he just forgot to replace the eth address with his own. This is common on bounty boards that have gotten a lot of replies (say more than 1000) because registrants prefer to copy the last post rather than go to the original long and boring post on the first page.

Btw, have you confirmed to the person concerned (eg via PM) instead of creating this thread first?

Don't hurt your head thinking over it. The reason could be very simple. Maybe he just copied your proof of authentication post , changed all the details but forgot to change that address part.

If you sees the POA post again. You can clearly see that he edited the address in one part and forgot the other which makes no sense if he was intending any malice. Please send him a private Message about the mistake. He may not be aware.

I believe it's better to sign a message using that address just to be sure that it would be attributed to you. This is to make sure that you own the private keys and it's actually you who has control over that account.

Just search on Google how you can do it.

I think this is not necessary until you have messaged the person that did such on this forum, I do not know what the person can be up to but just a mistake that can result to the person to participate on such bounty campaign or whatsoever and lose his payment to you. Obviously, bounty hunters are in such a rush to submit the registration applications that they forget to insert their details. Let's believe you, but still we need to know you are the owner of the address. Sign a message using the address that will remove all the doubts. Contact the bounty manager and let him know that you are the owner of the address, means you are legitimate owner of the POA.

It's become a habit just copy paste other. Even they forgot to change wallet address, how funny is that? I have experience people just copy paste social media post on their timeline. Social media campaign just a spam, but don't know why all project interested on that.

Anyway since you share it with the community, I think you are risk free. But your responsibility is to notify campaign manager. So that they can take appropriate action against these spammers.

It was kind of fun by the way. Yea, the campaign manager would detect this which would lead to termination from the campaign, and tag them. That's the reason I suggest above notifying the campaign manager in such as case. Isn't that? Sometimes managers too lazy. But yes, OP should take immediate action in such as case to avoid unnecessary harassment. Because alt hunters detect it then OP would be in trouble somehow.

The user just copy pasted your post and the user had no time to edit his own ethereum/erc20 token wallet id. Don't be panic too much for this, this types of error may happen while any user copy paste any post and also those who use multi account and try to post fast. Same type of incident may happen for higher ranked profile too.
