They are lazy and incompetent for sure, but then again that's much pretty much standard practice with bounty campaigns, managers taking each other's layout and ocassipnally forgetting to remove some links, like in this case. Doesn't make it right of course.

Regarding MoonCake, it looks like just another DeFi high apy shitcoin with inflated bounty pool, as always. On top of that, team looks fake as fuck so if someone has time to do reverse image search, there might be some results.

It looks more like laziness from the users managing that account than trying to plagiarism.
In general, you should be careful, as the team is not scam, they are lazy and therefore this is a bad indication of the project's ability to grow in the future.

That's why I didn't open this thread in the "Scam accussation" section but in "Reputation". If the dev team is lazy and inaccurate, that shows about their reputation. Additionally, it is strange that they were informed of their mistake and they didn't correct it anyway.

I didn’t check all the text to see how identical they were, but I know that some members are banned from this forum and for less plagiarism.
however, if we take a closer look at the user MoonCakeDefiBSC, he is registered 20 June 2021, 16:33, post this ANN thread and he left this forum. Last active 20 June 2021, 20:21.
I don't think he cares further about the forum and what will be said about it here.

And yes, this way of presenting a project looks most like a scam.

Its true project seems suspicious, but based on just plagiarism I can't call them a scam in advance. But posting behavior looks like a scammer. They just copy-paste the bounty thread by a brand new account. Rather than scam accusation, it should consider as plagiarism which would lead to a ban. Once thread creators ban from the forum then they aren't allowed to create any more accounts here. So please report it to the moderator or in meta. Hope the account will get a permanent ban.

The problem with most bounty hunters is that they don't check whenever they are joining some campaign, it's sad the first time you heard of bounty hunters getting duped by the campaign but the more you know that it's not just a one sided fault, you get desensitized overtime.

they just join because there is nothing else to join with. but if they see a positive sign to other campaigns, they will be leaving that mooncake campaign. it's a classic MAYBE for them. MAYBE it's not a scam but absolutely a moonshot.

That's another reason that I forgot to add and you are right, with a lot of applicants and small amount of campaigns opening, it becomes a breeding ground for desperation in which the scammers utilize to their advantage because they know that these people will join no matter what, look at what happened to 1xbit campaign, they are a scam website but they still got a lot of applications.

Most bounty hunters don't want to spend time exploring crypto projects, whether the project is a scam or not. If they could make themselves experienced, if they could figure out different aspects of crypto projects, then they could keep themselves away from such projects. As long as Bounty hunters can't change themselves, such projects will come and do free marketing using bounty hunters.

They don't have to do research because most campaign threads have the information that is needed by the people on their threads already so there's the illusion that they are legitimate, it's not their fault because this bounty campaign are start up projects so they basically put in a blind faith that the project isn't a scam.

From what I saw on the telegram, they even had investors placed there - people who claimed to have made a purchase and even reported TX transactions. Just to build confidence, because im sure that it was inside transfers. Pretty well-organized action. It's strange that they disappeared so quickly.

I don't care that you got paid, you are basically paid to promote a scam website, look at your 2 negative tags, is it worth the payment for having a tainted reputation in the forum, you have a good rank and you could've applied for other campaigns but what's going to happen to you after 1xbit pulls out their promotion?

That's the old trick, bunch of sock puppet accounts claiming to made some sort of transaction or faking the interest, pretty much the same thing some projects are doing here on the forum with those bumping thread services.

Regarding the disappearing, I guess they were satisfied with the amount they made, or it slowed down so much there was no point to continue with that charade. In either case, good riddance.
