NFTs are some kind of art and we all know very well that art is subjected to forgery by people to to take advantage of popular art.

So how do you separate an original from a fake, or does this nft ecosystem have no rules of best practice when it comes to plagiarism?

In the real art world, we know that popular paintings and items can fetch millions of dollars both in the legal and underground market. And there is a big business that can be made here, so much so that forgery is quite abundant, with some forgers able to really fool even experts. Now, can this whole thing be prevented by NFT? Maybe yes, maybe no. I heard that there is already a technology for this that can be applied to prevent forgeries or unauthorized duplicates. And maybe this is where the blockchain technology is really coming.

@X-ray pretty much said it. Another main issue now with NFT is the impersonation of the popular artists. Due to the digital nature of NFTs, fraudsters can mint these tokens and pretend it's made by the real artist. You can check this article for example.

Maybe this help u figure it out
https://ethereum.stackexchange.com/questions/102083/how-exactly-was-the-small-pics-inside-the-beeple-nft-cryptographically-hashed-al/102165?noredirect=1#comment125379_102165
Although I'm not convinced yet, to me I think it's like buying ur copy of an electronic game or u may say a copy of some URL with the right to edit it, play with it if it's a game, resell it if someone is welling to pay
.
As for the Beeple pic and what's alike, maybe it's an economical strategy to put this amount of Ethereum better as an asset.
.
How r they going to use it for museums?for humans?
Not a single answer convinced me yet

NFT stands for nonfungible tokens which means each and every tokens are unique so the art created over NFT also has unique identity which cannot be changed or erased, but the same picture can be created over another NFT and people can sell it but we don't know which one is the original unless the creator of that art identifies it.

Majority of NFT are scam projects and come to think of it NFT makes things more easier for scammers because you can just pretend to be NFT projects for any art company or utilities, people needs to be extremely careful with ART NFT projects most especially

Hehe
I began to believe, the better use of NFTs is to make children & teenagers learn programming by making their desigs/games/...etc and copyright it. They will discover their talents either as artists or as developers, feel proud playing with their own designed games, and maybe they can make some money.

Each marketplace has its own plagiarism rules. If a complaint is received and the user can prove that it is plagiarism, then the sale will be blocked on this resource.
In practice, these tokens have not found usefulness in art.
The market for these tokens has dropped and only a few well-known gaming projects are selling well.

I agree that many young designers and software developers will be able to earn more income and their motivation will increase thanks to nft. I am curiously watching the growth of this nft ecosystem.
I'm sorry to say that there will be many scam projects in the digital world, there will be many scams, I can't wait to see unique nft projects that can do real work.

AFAIK, anything that someone puts up as NFT, it's already NFT. And looking up for forgery, that's not the issue on it but the value of the NFT. If there shall be no person that will buy NFT because of a reason then that can be one of it. But to determine that an NFT is a forge-type of art or file.
It shall be tested by the buyers whoever was the seller of it who has put it up in the marketplace. So everything that's being put up into sale, it's being original unless the original art has found out that someone has stolen their work.
