Dead or no ?? What did Q mean ?

Hello people ! I woke up in the morning and came across this theory saying how John McAfee is not dead and apparently he wanted to start something like the *dead man's switch*.

"I've collected files on corruption in governments. For the first time, I'm naming names and specifics. I'll begin with a corrupt CIA agent and two Bahamian officials. Coming today. If I'm arrested or disappear, 31+ terabytes of incriminating data will be released to the press," McAfee tweeted on June 9, 2019.

Eleven days later, he added: "The instant I disappear the information is released. Those named would be crazy to kill me or collect me. They are simply praying I live forever. If it's released, revenge takes over and I'm dead."

Reason some people think that he did not commit suicide is because he was asked about living in the jail, he told that he have good friends there and he is enjoying but apparently if he hangs himself it won't be his fault..

This seems like a very weird case, what do you guys think ?
Why was the dead man's switch not activated? Is someone behind all this? Someone who killed him and is now preventing the data release.
Should his body be inspected for possible codes? Or are we just making it more complicated than it really is. Is it going to affect bitcoins as a whole, if something like that was activated??

It's going to remain as a mystery. John's already dead and we will see if there's going to be a secret activation after his death that shall come from one of his accomplice or trusted person that he was with.

But at the end, he's dead and whatever ideas that we'll create on our minds, it's going to remain unanswered.

Not the first time I've read about dead man's switch being touted by guys like him, and unfortunately, we've not really had any kind of treasure trove of information released -- so either the switch never works out, or the receiver of information doesn't quite do what they're supposed to.

Either way, not sure any information he's able to give out would make any sense or would stand up to inspection. He may have been a good coder at first but his latter products never quite passed the mark apparently.

Pity he never amassed much Bitcoin for himself to do a dead man's giveaway.

I guess this remains to be seen. If he had this much info available on corrupt members of the government, I highly doubt there was no "dead man switch" he planned in advance. He profited off the crypto market and all, but at the end of the day he definitely isn't/wasn't a stupid man. If anything, these things are ready to be launched into the public I guess.

Anyway... at some time in the future this won't last forever. Before, they could burn libraries and get away with it. Today, internet and tech makes it much harder since replicating information is as easy as copy-pasting.

These kind of deaths always remain a mystery. But for sure conspiracy theories will now surface with a lot of evidence. Some those will be actually true but some of those will be just to gain followers. Nothing new about it. Although I still believe he was not that kind of a man who will commit suicide.

I think John McAfee has died and it has been confirmed by wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_McAfee) too.
There should be no doubt on his death and he is no more with us to see bitcoin reach 1M dollars.

The guy has some great history in the crypto industry and for whatever reasons he is doing this kind of event, is only for him. no matter how we look at it as long as we don't any evidence about the things we are saying it will remain a theory or some kind of personal opinion. He had lived a well life and enjoyed what he did, from predicting to shilling and for sure his personal life has been wonderful on his own doing crazy stuffs.

Oh another conspiracy theory about McAfee. It is hard to know what actually happened because we don't get the full informations. I agree with you that the suicide story seems the least likely, because he sad himself that he wouldn't ill himself. But if he is still alive and escaped prison than he needs to have powerful people who help him. I think it's more likely he got the Eppstein treatment because he knew too much.

It doesn't matter what we wanted to happen because for sure the government is acting on what is necessary  mate.
if there must be a code then surely it was already recovered by the authority that seeks for what they can get from McAfee.
