What happened: MicroStrategy  Giveaway still running on youtube with 120k live views !!

After Tesla and Elon musk, scammers now started giveaways in the name of MicroStrategy and Michael J. Saylor. Not only websites are being created for this, but live streams are also being used on YouTube so that more and more people can fall into their trap. Newbies never participate in such a giveaway it's a trick of scammers to greed you and scam you.

With such descriptions, it definitely an obvious scam giveaway. High likely youtube account that streams the video was hacked in order to spread this scam website, fortunately theres no victims fall into this trap so far. Website has been reported (https://safebrowsing.google.com/safebrowsing/report_phish/?hl=en), hope it would be taken down asap

If anyone or any website offers something like you send this sum of bitcoin/ethereum/litecoin/dogecoin or somthing like that and you will receive this some of amount instantly/after a specific period of time then you should ignore/sip that without thinking twice. Otherwise you will be scammed.

Mostly fake giveaways like that ask something like deposit some BTC or make you try to register or log in on the link they provide that's why its really dangerous to get caught up and follow what they told us since mostly we will be easy  target to them if we start to be curious and try what they offer to us.

To avoid this  scam better leave it and don't look what they are promoting.

There is no such thing as a giveaway in MicroStrategy at the moment, those who are using the name of MicroStrategy in the name of giveaway are fake and they are scammers. If they were really organizing any kind of giveaway, they would promote it using their various media. Because if big companies organize a promotional event then they promote it in a good enough way. Donot judge anything like this just by calculating the number of views or engagements. Whenever you see something like this just go to real website and find out the real scene before losing your money. Just keep in mind no one will give you something for free when it connects with money.

Because he's a reporter base on his username, what an irony.

Regardless, I think it's still better to have this kind of copy pasting to spread awareness of such scam than those who just want to add on their post number, yet it's not accepted in this forum, coz there's a rules and his account should be banned/warned.


Back to op, I wonder if there are still newbies/non-newbies who got carried away on such scam. Always remember, if it's too good to be true it probably is.

The real MicroStrategy should also take action by going after the people who launch a fake giveaway and using their name and reputation, this is bad for MicroStrategy people might think that they are the one launching the fake give away, they can afford to go after those guys not everyone here is good at checking if the giveaway is legit or fake, they are targetting newbies obviously.

I wish more people would get this into their heads. The recent twitter hack of many well known personalities and the following money donation scam, worked nicely to make people send their money over.

If someone uses social media, treat everything there as manipulated or clickbait. The biggest source of misinformation or disinformation is social media today and if you want to save your money and remain sane, stop using them as much as possible, only keep them running for what you need.

The hard truth, there is no method to double your money - that is a scam running from time immemorial and only the way it is presented differs.

If you don't follow this rule you are too greedy, I have not seen a legit doubler and there is no way that they are going to double the money you give them, instead they will do the other way around and that is running away with your money.

Any kind of giveaway online by an investment or crypto company that doesn't have any of their officials doing the announcement themselves is likely scam and you don't want to be falling for them because these giveaways are always too good to be true.

The first thing you will notice to those giveaways is they ask some amount so that they can give you much bigger rewards and for the said it is a giveaway the money ask to you is a big red flag, if we talk about giveaway you don't need any amouny to participate maybe there are certain task that need to do so newbies need to think smart about that.

I always see newbies fall unto this trap so hopefully they will learn something since this kind of scamming attack is so basic and yet there are still people who get caught on scammers trap.

Damn even Microstrategy got some scammers doubler. Im sure If Michael Saylors heard the scam attempt and using of his company he will definitely just laugh of thr issue.

Did my part, it doesn't even take as much as 5 minutes, I just made it a concise report, no other additional story and such, just a straightforward report. Hopefully more of this scam website will be reported to Safebrowsing because a lot of people are still falling for this even though the scam is obvious.
