1060 rig in 2021

Building a mining rig with 6x GTX1060 6GB still makes sense in 2021? Or it's a very bad idea? Reason is I found a very cheap offer @2000$ for the rig, tell me what you think about this, good or bad?

2000$? It is a way to expensive? I have 30x p106 (it is the same card like 1060 6GB) and they running well, but i only paid 80$ for 1 gpu. If you get a rig with those cards for around 1500$ or less is a good deal, but 2000$ is no good deal in my opinion.

Not sure when ETH DAG will reach 6GB and we all know what will happened to all GPU that have 6GB memory onboard, also for 2000$ is not a good deal mate why not have patience and wait a while? ETH 2.0 is on the way which will cripple ETH mining reward a bit or more, wait till July and see what happens first

6Gb is enough for the next 2,5 years, so thats not the problem, but this cards are slowdown every new dag epoch, they need much power for today and you can sell it next year for only 50$ i think.

6Gb is enough for the next 2,5 years, so thats not the problem, but this cards are slowdown every new dag epoch, they need much power for today and you can sell it next year for only 50$ i think.

If GPU like 1060 can turn 50$ by next year I think that's the best time to start buying GPU, by that time even the almighty RTX3090 would have go back to 1500$ per GPU, people need to calm down because this isn't the time to start building mining rigs

Dont buy gtx1000 series.Because they have problem with memory. More dag size slower hashrate. If bear market comes you will be selling those gpu for 100$ each and your rig value will be 600-700$. Choice and risk is yours of course but personally i wouldnt buy.

You can mine Ethereum for a certain time with them, 6 such GPU-s make about 150 Mhsh in total or a bit more and with today rewards you will be making like 7-8 dollars daily which for me is Ok and make sense.Also when the DAG of Ethereum will increase you can always revert back to mining Ethereum Classic which has a lower DAG size but at a cost of lower daily profitability,not 7-8 but 4-5 for today market rate.Of course best is to buy the rig a bit cheaper but even at 2000 with 6 GPU-s and complete with parts for me is still Ok.Remember you are buying 150 mhsh for 2000 USD,or 7-8 USD daily profit in today mining calculators,this can change for the good or for the bad in the future.

You must understand that these are used video cards that have been mining for more than 3 or 4 years.
Hashrate of 1 video card 23.5 -25 megahash Better use the value of 23 mx in calculations.
7 dollars of profit per day is at least 1 year of payback.Because the profit will decrease.
If I had a cheap light, I would ask for a 20% discount. The seller is offering you a market price.

save your money and wait another few months. at least you won't buy gpus at an inflated price, so there's still a possibility that you'll get back your initial investment before everything move to pos. the price is going down already, but 2x above msrp is still not good enough.

It ought to cost $1500-1600. GPUs mined 3-4 years. May be you'll need repair it, change fans, thermopads. Energoefficienty  is rather bad too. Calculate profit. The normal ROI for these GPUs - not more then 8 months, as for me.
