Jack personally always reacts to the topic of bitcoin well and has a high level of friendliness.  Perhaps we can follow this conversation live to see the right outcome and whether it entails new effects and dynamics in the long term.  It is also a norm that the market and bitcoin need.  Did Jack mention building defi for bitcoin?  Not sure what he will bring next.  Personally, I still see that as a very bullish signal for bitcoin.

Why it is important and we are also waiting, the meeting with Elon, and probably more or less the results of the electric energy that Elon has suggested.

Any news involving the clown Musk have zero interest for me. The guy is only a manipulator narcissistic dude, his interests for me to get rich are zero as well so why should I care. I'm not that stupid to follow like the sheep. Next!
Yes I also don't care what he says and what he does. Believing it is a mistake. Luckily I have never wanted to follow him on twitter. It's stupid that there are still many people who are influenced by his tweets. Hopefully the media doesn't make it big and follow up on this problem, don't give it a stage again.
I already following Elon musk since he did he's first tweet about dogecoin, when she said something about doge i buy as fast as i can.

But after the SNL i know theres something wrong with this guy, i think she just care about hes life and never think about the community who believe on him.

So after that, i never follow this man anymore and i think most of us already realize Elon just trolling us and he's tweet doesn't really work like previously.

Is anyone able to round up exactly was said? The price of Bitcoin hasn't been significantly effected, but has gone up slightly so I'm assuming that not much was said, but it was probably nothing negative. I refuse to look at news sites just in case they inject their own bias, and I don't really want to sit down, and watch this.

Is anyone able to round up exactly was said?

Quite by accident, I saw that someone posted a link for the live stream of this event and I decided to take a look at it. It was nothing spectacular in the sense that we heard something new, so it was not to be expected that there would be an impact on price - no matter how positive EM and others were in their views. EM even had the B logo on his shirt, and let’s just say that overall his attitude towards BTC was positive.

From our WO friends - thanks @cAPSLOCK

OK.  Just started watching this B word thing...

Maybe I will edit this as I go... but impressions.

Elon is stoned as fek.  Seriously, or he just got up from a nap?
Elon triples down on "it's too slow, it's too expensive"
Elon reiterates for the 17millionth time he owns it (as does Tesla and SpaceX)
~22 Jack is such a classic bleeding heart. And I think he is right Bitcoin is going to benefit all the unbanked etc.
~24 I dig Cathie. She might have more basic strong sense than the other two. Recognises the BTC store of value being primary still.  Seems to get off on the who "crypto" thing though.  Her views on deflation are keen.
~27 Elon is pissed he's not geting a turn now.
~27 Jack touches on remittance, and bitcoins soundness and state disconnection.  Touches on Verifiability.  He obviously hangs on on Bitcoin Twitter.
~29  Elon misunderstands the concept of "scarcity".  He is attacking LN with the Money Transmittal argument.  Sounds like he's being fed by the state.  Bitcoin can't scale.  Brings up Doge, laughing and thinks it can be useful as a payment network because of Huh   Mentions the "exchanges as a defacto layer 2 non-argument again.
~32 Moderator brings up that Elon's ideas would break decentralization.  Elon seems to think regular users do not need to run a node.  I do not believe his misunderstanding is well thought out yet.
~34.5 Mod suggests Starlink run nodes.
~35 Elon "invents" the idea of node as space heater.  How original.
~35.5 Elon drinks water.  He's been sounding a little dry mouthed.  he is stoned.
~36 Elon likes Doge because it is dumb and would be funny if the most entertaining outcome is the most likely one.
Elon is high.
Elon drinks more water, and wonders if he could sneak off cam for a bong hit.15
Jack falls into Elon's "fun" trap.
~38 Energy use~!  Oh boy.
~39 Elon is an self proclaimed expert on "renewable energy".
~40 Elon tacitly admits that the did not do appropriate due diligence before putting 1.5 BILLION.
~40.5 Elon says he has lots of bitcoin.
~41 Elon wants to do "more dilligence" to confirm the usage is <=50%, and Tesla will resume.  Most likely they will.
~41:40 Cathie brings up the actual intelligent 2nd order argument of energy use secondary effect
~42 Elon thinks solar powered Bitcoin cant work when the sun is down, even though it is up somewhere on Earth all the time.
~43 Elon is pro nuclear
~44 Jack also shows that he understands the second order idea of stranded energy etc unlike the wunderdoof.
~45 Elon has given his very life to the Earth working on Tesla.
~48 Tesla is trying to be the good guys
~48.5  Elon has saved us from Bitcoin using good energy and if he had not stepped in they would have just kept shoveling coal.
~49.5 Cathie shills ESG a little.  Sings Jack's hym a little on access for the unbanked and developing countries and remittances.  Mentions ES, and Tonga
~51.5 Talks about the social angle of egregious fees.
~52 she brings up the social aspect of bad government.  Props up the BTC transparency compared to the legacy systems. Compliments devs.
~53 Talks about Economic theory, Praises the DEVS in this regard. Calls them noble.
~54 Continues to praise bitcoin as noble as compared to the legacy system.
~55 BTC ethos
~56 Jack talks about supporting DEVS, and fighting the patent trolls, and open sourcing h/w design, and the DEV APIs
~58 Elon is asked about NYKNYC.  He seems to understand it. First thing I hear him say that makes sense.  He mentions that "he is a fan of decentralized finance". But like all of his other views he seems to have no nuance when it comes to custody, and key management.  And what about this stupid defacto layer two exchanges concept?
~59 Elon believes in empowering people. Golf clap.
~59.5 Elon cracks himself up with the depth of his understanding of key management.
~60 The moderator brings up multisig as a solution.
~60  Elon suggests you can just put your private key "in something that has dual access or voting access".  He obviously barely understands this topic as well.
~60.5 Mod challenges the interviewees saying the community wants to guard the users from rich people and corps.
~61 Cathie paints her company as a supporter of "democratization".  She mentions education and research given out for free to all via social media. Encourages support of the dev community.
~63 Jack wants to push for as much decentralization as possible.  Moving to non custodial solutions.  Being open source, and wants to move Twitter that direction. (Blue Sky)  Wants to support the community
~64 Elon asks if Twitter would take payments from advertisers in crypto.
~64 Jack wants to, but also want to focus on economic incentives w/o advertisers.
~65 Elon says something incomprehensible about incentives, and again scolds Jack for not yet letting advertisers pay in crypto.  He seems to have forgotten that he is against that function at his own companies.
~65.5 Jack tolerates this and answers "100%".
~66 Mod asks Elon about his companies role
~66 Elon Wants to do things that benefit people.  And "take these set of actions to make the future good"  Some crypto will make the future better.  i am thinking in terms of probabilities. Shills ETH and DOGE again.  Will have an "empowering effect". Says some anti government stuff comparing it to the biggest corporation.
~68 Cathie has some intelligent ideas about regulations around bitcoin. Talks about how explosive the growth of trade could be because of BTC.  And the idea of the hedge against inflation.  Talks about the natural migration of people to BTC, and brings up deflation again. She brings up stick buybacks and counterparty risks.
~70.5 Elon says Teslas Euro bank accounts actually have negative interest rates!  This is insane!  What could possibly help with this?
~72  Jack talks about the beauty of the BTC network, and the bad UX/UI for end users.  Wallet development is important.  Brings up Muun.  Seems to believe it is the type of UI that is great.
~73 Elon's hope for "crypto in general" is that it can improve the efficiency of the thing we call money.
~73.5 Cathie says money has powerful network effect, and revisits ESG and those aspirations. Solving the worlds problems. Says the words "blockchain" and "AI" right next to each other. Somehow the universe does not notice and destroy her.
~75  Jack wants Bitcoin to create world peace
~75 Elon laughs at that.

Elon is not important to bitcoin.  Jack probably is. Cathie seems like a competent business woman.  Sorry for the many many typos... not gonna fix em. Wink

The start was spectacular, EM obviously wanted to send a message that BTC was heading towards Mars Cheesy

I don't bet my hope with Bitcoin ETF or Bitcoin DeFi. Bitcoin itself is good enough to grow more and don't need Bitcoin ETF or Bitcoin DeFi. Those things can bring both positive momentum and negative effects with fud.

It is a very long livestream but it worth the time of audience if they are bitcoiners.

They can learn something from the livestream, pick something valuable to grow up with the market. If they are subtle, they can realize some relations between events, market crashes, pumps and how influential people show their power.

Elon said transaction volume is low, transaction cost is high about Bitcoin. He should be aware of that tweet: https://twitter.com/Excellion/status/1333966283876954113

And then there are some very high level investors such as Kevin O'Leary (Sharktank) who could care less about what Elon has to say Smiley

Elon Musk was very respectful, and well behaved during the talk. I believe he truly expressed what he truly felt about Bitcoin. They were positive viewpoints, which makes me more confident about the need for a censorship-resistant money, and the network becoming a multi-generational protocol.

EM can indeed look calm and seems to think that he supports BTC but on the other hand he often tweets that creates pumps in the market.  If previously Tesla accepted and now rejects BTC on the grounds that it is not environmentally friendly, it is too hypocritical because of the fact that even gold as a valuable commodity is not environmentally friendly.  The EM view is not always what it appears to be.

maybe many people have not started to care about what they are talking about because this has.absolutely no impact on the increase in.the price of bitcoin in.the.stock market, which is.precisely the controversial.statement that can.worsen the image of bitcoin in.the stock.market, but we hope this can.have a positive.impact on a bitcoin value and has.not experienced.a decline.that continues.to decline.in a fairly.short time, maybe we can.only hope for positive.things.in what they are talking about

Did Elon Musk go to Michael Saylor’s office for this live video stream hehehe. It appears he is making fun of Saylor by using that backdrop. However, it is Saylor’s own fault. Saylor the hero has created his own archvillain. It was him who invited Elon to the Bitcoin for corporations conference on February 3, 2021.

Amongst the attendees was SpaceX as highlighted by the team at @DocumentingBTC via the following tweet. Attendance by the space exploration company confirms that Elon Musk is indeed interested in adding Bitcoin to its treasuries.

Source https://en.ethereumworldnews.com/microstrategys-bitcoin-for-corporations-attracted-8197-attendees/
Elon looks just woke up and join the livestream.  Grin

He said people thought me will dump Bitcoin but after laughing, he said I would only pump Bitcoin, not dump. It is irony to see he told us like that because we know what he did since 2020, pumped and dumped Bitcoin.

Now, it is revealed that not only Tesla but also SpaceX own Bitcoin. If Elon already shilled Dogecoin with Moon mission, do you think he will shill Bitcoin with another Moon mission or similar space flight to the edge of space like Blue Origin and Jeff Bezos just did days ago. I mean he might accept Bitcoin as payment method for Moon mission or space flight.

^
says the guy advertising another network at every oppertunity and being buddies with censors that want to ban/ignore anyone wanting to evolve bitcoin onchain

and yes LN is a separate network different currencies can use. a small nice service network for small amounts.

which bitcoin should not be devolved/stagnated just to publicise this other network as a go-to service everyone should use instead

and no dont cry to your buddies for backup rebuttals

and yes you saying
"i dont want coffe amounts onchain" is censorship talk of wanting certain transactions removed/not tolerated
funny thing is if you cant spend coffee amounts. how you suppose to spend coffee amounts to deposit into your other network to then buy coffee in your accepted manner

and please dont say the idea is to lock up 10xcoffee amount. then split it over 4 routes. because then you will not get to buy 10 complete coffees

doge and bitcoin could work for the moon. but not for mars
mars is closest 5min (10min send+receive) furthest 40min(1hour20min send+receive)

meaning on mars.
if you want to pay for rationpack with someone in the same colony tunnel on mars
sending a transaction can take 5-40min.. and to see it on the blockchain would be 20min-90mins after you have sent the transactions.
meaning your mandatory 10minute refreshment break would be over before the rationpack seller sees a confirm

Even after watching all this shit, I believe Elon is not hopping on bitcoin and he will keep poking his followers towards Dogecoin and it looks like he has a very huge portfolio in Dogecoins as he may have accumulated so much during the bear times and is shilling it now to go ultra-rich than ever. These hypocrites don't give a fuck to crypto and digitalization, all they want is money.

This is July 22 already and I don't think anything they might have to say is influencing anything anymore. I have not even been getting acquainted with any information related to him as I am not interested. Either the talk comes up or not, bitcoin is here to stay despite how they try to manipulate their follower nor the market.

Exactly and crypto nowadays does not feel any impact from the words Elon Musk says at whatever conference or event. After accepting Bitcoin payments for buying Tesla cars and later on retreating by saying that Bitcoin mining consumes a lot of energy and will not accept anymore payments in Bitcoin he completely lost credibility.Whatever he does now,no one from the crypto world really cares about him and this is how it should be,crypto should not rely on any person or entity but it should continue to be fully immune from such impacts and offer us the decentralization we all love.

That is true when it comes to more influence about bitcoins, I think it doesn't matter anymore for the like of us who already know how these guys manipulate the market with their tweets. however, for those people that aren't really up to date, they will take whatever these guys said. Others will only take advantage of the current situation where they will invest in what coin these guys gonna promote and quickly sold it whenever they feel that it will gonna fall soon. So basically, everyone is still waiting for the talk to happen to take advantage of it.

You never know. He might already be buying more bitcoin. He is just waiting for the right moment to make an announcement for the price of bitcoin to skyrocket. He did say that tesla might start accepting bitcoin again if they find out that bitcoin is actually using clean source of energy. And who knows, he might be serious with dogecoin too, but then again, there are literally tens of different coins better than dogecoin. Why would he still choose that?

From our WO friends - thanks @cAPSLOCK
I knew as soon as I saw a summary of what was said I would need to watch it just to clarify whether what someone summarized was accurate or their personal interpretation. For example, cAPSLOCK mentions that Elon Musk suggested a few ideas about centralizing Bitcoin or at least got challenged by the moderator that his ideas would make it less decentralized, and normal users shouldn't need to run nodes. I wasn't expecting that, since I would like to think that Elon Musk is smart enough to understand that much of the appeal for Bitcoin is its decentralized nature, and how the community can contribute further to its decentralized nature.

Any news involving the clown Musk have zero interest for me. The guy is only a manipulator narcissistic dude, his interests for me to get rich are zero as well so why should I care. I'm not that stupid to follow like the sheep. Next!

Wear a short skirt to play as a clown, Musk hosts "Saturday Night Live" This is Musk. Although in the digital economy era, the size of wealth depends on a person's perception, but I still don't want to get Musk's persuasion. I have unfollowed and no longer accept his tweets.

which makes me more confident about the need for a censorship-resistant money, and the network becoming a multi-generational protocol.

^
says the guy advertising another network at every oppertunity and being buddies with censors that want to ban/ignore anyone wanting to evolve bitcoin onchain

and yes LN is a separate network different currencies can use. a small nice service network for small amounts.

Bitcoin will not be censorship-resistant, and not be a multi-generational protocol because many people on the community support the Lightning Network?

franky1, Bcash also supports “another network” through their new sidechain. Go criticize your “real Bitcoin”. Cool

Quote

which bitcoin should not be devolved/stagnated just to publicise this other network as a go-to service everyone should use instead

It didn’t.

Quote

and no dont cry to your buddies for backup rebuttals

Because they can see through your lies, gaslighting attempts?

Quote

and yes you saying

"i dont want coffe amounts onchain" is censorship talk of wanting certain transactions removed/not tolerated
funny thing is if you cant spend coffee amounts. how you suppose to spend coffee amounts to deposit into your other network to then buy coffee in your accepted manner

But you can use Bitcoin for coffee transactions onchain.

Quote

and please dont say the idea is to lock up 10xcoffee amount. then split it over 4 routes. because then you will not get to buy 10 complete coffees

You don’t want to use LN? Use onchain.

I knew as soon as I saw a summary of what was said I would need to watch it just to clarify whether what someone summarized was accurate or their personal interpretation.

This is still the best way if you want to get a completely neutral insight into an event, although I don't mind reading a good summary, since I missed some things because I'm not a native English speaker - and I have to admit that at times EM was difficult to understand (at least for me).
