They're just shitcoins, but I also appreciate Elon Musk for bringing some excitement to the cryptocurrency market. However, I still wish he would create his own product, one with practical real-world applications, instead of these jokes like Dogecoin and Floki...

And what do you say about the fact that Musk with one tweet could affect the movement of bitcoin and because of this thousands of people lost millions of dollars in liquidation. Personally, I don't think that's a good tone. A man of his stature should realize that!

He fully realizes that and that's exactly why he continues his manipulations. And that's also why he doesn't run his own coin as it's more funny to manipulate something that's not linked to you anyhow.

Well now we know this is not true. But Elon Musk now said he will accept Bitcoins for Tesla payments. This is since mix of energy sources leveraged by Bitcoin miners has reached sustainables of 50%.

At first I thought it was old news because a long time ago Elon Musk actually said that he would accept BTC and DOGE as payment for Tesla. But after I visited your link it turned out that Elon Musk had resumed accepting BTC for Tesla payments.
I don't know what Elon Musk is thinking because honestly this man is really unpredictable  Grin

A man with hundreds of billions of dollars cannot be predictable. His thinking is beyond the reach of any of us. Therefore, all his tweets may have many hidden meanings that we do not even realize.

I think I've already heard this news several times and it never happened.. What's wrong with this man. He's so close to the crypto and never accepts it, while nowadays you can buy literally anything with crypto.

Well I think this time he is telling truths. The man is 'bipolar' so we can expect him to have many change like this. But this article makes me think he will be serious about it this time.

Is all the excitement around the project really a hype? Like chiahype and etc.?

Is it accurate if floki is a coin from elon?
I think Floki is just taking temporary advantage or you could say it's just hype, the human brain continues to run in search of as much profit as possible, we are the only ones who can research whether this makes sense or is it just momentary fomo, especially the current market conditions,

Well Elon Musk did say he will name his Shiba Inu Floki. But I think we all know that his favorite coin is Doge.

Now he has decided to go even further and has stated that he is going to make Twitter pay-per-view for everyone. I hope this is just another one of his idiotic statements designed to get attention. I wouldn't want to pay to just use a social networking site. We already bring him advertising revenue, it would be weird if he decided that everyone was going to pay and use Twitter.

In this case most of the users will go to Threads. As I know it's free to use and has the same idea as twitter. But I don't move there now as I don't like it's connected to Instagram. Like you couldn't delete your threads account without deleting your Instagram. Very strange decision..

So far, things have been quiet. Perhaps it was just a big announcement to draw attention to Twitter. Elon Musk has been acting like an epic man lately.

Lately??? It seems like it's his natural behavior. And telling the truth, I've got pretty tired of him. I can't believe there are no other public person, who can stop all that shit start making good huge moves to make Elon shut up.

Arkham analytics company Arkham is looking for Ilon Musk's BTC wallets.

That's what the news is now!

But in Musk's case it would be much more interesting to know how much DOGE he has than to know how much BTC he has

Many companies are late to adoption due to their vital connection to the global financial system, which is largely fighting the spread of Bitcoin culture that will eliminate all its influence. It is not easy at all to get rid of a global system in which everyone works and replace it with a system used by a few. I think this is one of the most important reasons that encourages enthusiasts like Elon Musk and others to abandon Bitcoin in favor of other assets because he cannot use it in the market practically.

It is very important to realize that despite the delay in widespread adoption for the reasons we have explained, the degree of adoption that Bitcoin has currently reached is considered very important and very high compared to the time it took. Bitcoin is literally ageless because 10 or 12 years cannot make any currency used on a global scale as Bitcoin is today. Almost no other currency in history has enjoyed such success in such a short time as Bitcoin. This can be considered an amazing achievement. The journey is still long, and the day will certainly come when the use of Bitcoin becomes widespread, since it can no longer be bypassed or ignored.

Fully agree. I'm sure that many big businessman has lots of BTC stored on their wallets. It's much more interesting to know their other coins they hold. But in this case any coin that will be mentioned will have another hype stage. So anything can be said just to pump some certain coin.

I agree with everything you wrote! Many people still haven't embraced bitcoin because they are very much tied to traditional financial institutions. This can be seen in all areas. For example - gambling! Many companies still do not accept cryptocurrency. Other companies on the contrary are much more successful because they accept cryptocurrency and the number of their customers is much higher.

The companies that benefit from Bitcoin are mostly online companies that provide services to users regardless of their location or the countries they belong to. This is the real benefit from the benefits of Bitcoin, since it not only provides an exchange currency, but also a payment system that can be easily integrated.
Of course, the financial institutions that control the global financial economy do not want this culture to spread.

In my last comment, I briefly explained that the spread of “banking culture” is what explains the inability of users to use central platforms for long-term storage, and what also explains the significant delay in the spread of adoption: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5470105.msg62992744#msg62992744

Bitcoin is not the only crypto payment option. But I already got used to it and pay for many things with crypto lately. And for example Crypton from Utopia P2P is accepted by more than 1800 merchants already: https://x.com/UtopiaP2P/status/1572904958118481921?s=20 It clearly shows how crypto is integrated in our everyday lives.
