Having alts is not forbidden on this forum.

However, spamming is. And replying to posts made by your alts is activity boosting, which is even worse, because that's bounty cheating (and therefore: stealing).

So here's a gang of stealing shitposting/spamming alts. This is one and the same person who has been able to freely continue cheating for over 4 years now.

Their accounts have a 100% nukability rating imho, since this dude does not only cheat, but also hasn't got even a minimum of input to these boards whatsoever. Should these posts look even a tiny bit acceptable to you, keep in mind that hundreds of them have been reported and deleted already (check their BPIP). If there was even the slightest bit of doubt, I haven't reported them. Every report from these accounts has been marked "Good" by the mods.

When I started reporting a few weeks ago, some of these accounts which were very active before, suddenly stopped posting. It's not clear to me if these accounts have received a (temp) ban or not.

At the moment, I've succeeded to distinguish 6 edit: 7 edit: 8 edit: 10 different accounts and there might be more...

They all have this in common:
- all of them were created in March 2017 (except for republicrypto and cryptonx)
- all of them wrote their first posts on the Indonesian local boards (where the replying to alts already started from the very beginning!!)
- the same low quality everywhere, all the time
- extensive use of the words "buddy", "mate" or "my friend" in almost every post
- no upper case and inconsistent punctuation, if any at all (if there is, it's a quote)
- repeated posting of print screens from coin values on CoinMarketCap (edit) and these print screens were all uploaded on Imgur (thx ETFBitcoin!)
- repeated posting about ADA/Cardano, BNB/Binance Coin, TRX and Polkadot (of course, without the upper case )
- no real content, and if there is any, they're mostly rephrasing stuff which was already written by other people in earlier posts
- some share the same bounty signature, thus stealing twice

That's the reason that there was change in the rule for bumping the few threads and now newbies will not be able to bum the thread by this method.

You should probably read the OP's post and notice that they are no longer newbies.


I have also checked these accounts, and I can confirm that their writing style is very similar. But apart from that, unfortunately, we cannot prove that they are violating something. Although it is obvious that the registration date is very close with every account. But according to the parameters by which we usually mark cheaters, they do not fit in any way. There is no transfer of merits and I have not found any joint addresses.
The only thing I found was one plagiarized account, and then most likely he just forgot to add the link.

These accounts probably need more thorough verification. I found confirmation of two accounts, and at the moment, both should be prohibited according to the rules. If one account is banned, the other should stop posting in the same way.

lovesmayfamilis: great work. I'm not sure if the plagiarism is intended (if not, it's not plagiarism), but I'm glad you've found a proven link between those two accounts already.

Even if there's no 'hard' proof, I'll be warning bounty managers about this behavior. It'll be up to them to decide if there's cheating or not.

I'm glad this cheater has been exposed finally and it's a shame I couldn't find this out earlier, but I needed enough indications before actually writing the post...

Who knows how much money these accounts have stolen in the last 4+ years......

Honestly, even though I despise these cheaters, I would not have posted this thread, if it wasn't 100% clear. Yes, I know there wasn't any "hard" proof, but you really have to be blind or of ill will to not see this is actually one and the same person.

That being said, hardly a few hours after opening this thread, there you have it anyway: hard proof. Thx marlboroza. Let's get this dirty cheater out for good.

Another alternative account belongs to these two accounts.
I found matches at the address of their wallet, but it cannot be said that they violate the rules of any bounty.  Or my eye is blurry. They did not participate in the same companies. And the fact that they imitate communication as if they are different people, I honestly have not seen such cases, so that for such behavior the accounts were tagged.

None of the accounts you mentioned on OP is permanently banned, because I checked all of their BPIP profiles and they are still fine.

Probably temporary ban for all those accounts as first warning issue by some mod if I am not wrong.

Probably. Several accounts woke up and started joining sig campaigns yesterday and the day before. One more thing they have in common.

Maybe no one reported them for plagiarism. If you wish to report it and have sufficient proof, i'd recommend you to report it on Report plagiarism (copy/paste) here. Mods: please give temp or permban as needed.

Reporting is my middle name.

 

We'll see what the mods decide, but it's not the first time one of these alts was reported for plagiarism. Nothing happened though.

Probably that's the end for the alts, I mean it's not like they can make money out of those accounts with all the red trust on their profiles, no sane manager would accept those that have been proven to be an alt account abuser in this forum. Anyways, good catch OP.
