We have been thinking about how to help get more businesses in Seattle to accept Bitcoin.

List of Businesses in Seattle that accept Bitcoin:
-Startpad - Software development co-working space (and where Coinlab is located). Rent an office or desk with BTC.
http://startpad.org/

...?  This list is too short! Please let me know of other Seattle businesses that accept Bitcoin, and I will add them to this list.

I am willing to pitch Bitcoins to merchants as long as there is enough interest to make it worth their while. (The four of us in CoinLab are not enough to support a local economy).

What technologies are best for the small business owner?  POS systems or mobile clients?  I want to put together a package of information and technology that I or someone else could use to get a merchant set up to accept bitcoin in a few hours. I am happy to donate my time to this to help create a stronger BTC community in Seattle.

Where do you want to spend your money?  Particular establishments?  Product/service categories?

I'm in Seattle for a few days.  I have bitcoins and I'm ready to spend them (most likely on food).

Gonna see if I can check out the legal firm that accepts bitcoins.

Coinbase for selling BTCs
Fold for spending BTCs
PM me with any questions on these sites/apps!  http://www.montybitcoin.com

or Vircurex for trading alt cryptocurrencies like DOGEs
CoinNinja for exploring the blockchain.

This is awesome Smiley I've been thinking about starting a similar movement where I am. Though I am from Seattle originally, so I hope to spend some coin next time I'm there Smiley

Since the old thread has risen again, I wonder if there are any local spots accepting bitcoins in Seattle these days that I should know about.

Yah I saw that they accept bitcoin.  I've been meaning to stop by and get a sandwich with btc just to support their decision.  Thanks for the reminder!

Is cheese wizards still the only retailer that accepts btc in Seattle?  Has anyone heard of anywhere else?  I can't believe we're into 2014 and I still can't get a beer with btc in Seattle.

Or maybe I just don't know where to look for later info.  Let me know folks!

Fuel sports bar in pioneer square says they accept it too.  Just confirmed it to me via email.  Gonna head down for a pint (or two).  Guess it'll have to be at least two because apparantly they say it's a 20$ minimum to pay in BTC (which is weird, but oh well).
