Viewing advertisements and getting paid with Ethereum

One of my friends are sharing a Telegram link which calls themselves as ETH Ads. They say that you get paid for each ads, and there's a referral system. This pricked my ears and I have a hunch that this is a Pyramiding scheme although my friend says that there's no need to invest some money out of it. My question is whether it is legitimate or not?

I have tried some in the past, scam is not only about investing, there are some ads you will click on and register, many of the ads are scam, some will demand for money, the ads will have doublers and other scam site ads displayed, that is the risk of it. Also you will not use it again when you will find it not profitable, did your friend not tell you that? That it is not profitable.

I think it's nothing new just like those Bitcoin faucet (Ads, survey, captcha etc) while yours is paid with Ethereum. Mostly faucet on telegram aren't legit especially those called mining bot because it's not really mine using real mining rigs. Even though you see a balance on the telegram bot, of course you can't verify and no idea with random number appear on your screen. They could code a fake random number to make sure it's really working, but you can't withdraw even though you reach the minimum withdrawal.

If it's real and they pay, believe me, it won't be worth the effort.
Faucets were a great way to make some profit because cryptocurrencies were not popular and therefore there are no ways to use them in advertising. Today there are many ways and more people who may do anything to buy these currencies, so do not be afraid to make enough income from these methods.
If you want the best way to waste time and get a small profit enough to pay the Internet subscription, try them.

Clicking on anything shared on Telegram or replying to pm from unknown people can be very risky, or people are just sharing ref links, but I never heard anything about earning ethereum for watching ads.
I do know about a way for earning some altcoins for watching videos on odysee.com, and you can't get rich that way but it probably pays more than watching some boring ads.
Best way to earn Bitcoin and other coins is to offer your services and get paid in crypto, not just in fiat currencies.

The owner of that Telegram channel is the one who surely earn from his members and with those clicks and traffic that it generates. It's like a sharing profit opportunity.

But the profit that members will get through click those ads, they're peanuts compare to what the owner gets. Just as said, they're like paid to click and faucets.

Complete waste of time. You may think time is useless but it's a very important resource towards making money.

Now you are going to spend a lot of time watching timed ad video's plus the data bundles you are going to consume while trying to load the videos all from just very little ether. it's not worth it.

I never heard of this ETH Ads before. I just want to point out that having a referral program doesn't necessarily mean it's a pyramid scheme. If it has multiple levels and/or offer unrealistic revenue on referrees than it's most likely a scam.
Even if this service is legit, do you think it's worth it? Just think of how much time you Will have to spend clicking on ads and visiting links that might be for phishing websites. Not to mention the effort and time needed to promote your referral link!

These pay to view ads programs are not new. They are not worth your time because you will waste time only earning a few cents per day. Considering high gas fees it will take forever to be able to withdraw without losing everything to fees. There are a few micro earning sites like Swagbucks where you can earn some spare change and you will get paid in gift cards for taking surveys and other small tasks. You will get bored to death and go crazy but if you just need a few bucks this is a better option than a random telegram channel.

Looks pretty similar to the pirate bay bot and the likes of them. Can't say for certain if there's no other info. You probably should tell him about the risk. It would be even better if you can encourage him to stop. Who knows, maybe one of those ads has malware in it. If your friend uses his phone for important activities, that would be terrible.

Sounds awfully similar to faucets because in the pre-2015 era, faucets were going in full force allowing a large number of faucet farmers to abuse the faucets. At that time PTC and click-to-get-paid stuff was also common. So possibiliy it is the same here. But keep in mind that the possible income from such methods is usually so low that you will likely be spending more costs on electricity and internet to run that and earn from it.

Better to not take part in them, because they tend to be addictive and pages are usually full of ads and just junk.
