ESports seems to be so huge in other countries. It is almost unexplainable to me. I'm not sure why other countries have embraced this style of sport while in the US it is still considered a joke. People would rather watch random streamers trolling people than competing in esports. I'm sure there's a reason and it is probably a dark one, but I am still dumbfounded by the numbers I see of people watching these events. It just doesn't make sense to me. I guess I should be thankful I have better forms of entertainment available.
It is that there are still a lot of people in the US that don't see it as a competitive thing. This is only a matter of time when, when a lot of these streamers have already participated in competitive scene, that's when they will realize that just as the real sports and athletes earn money. They'll start to see the competition is real and the career is also genuine in esports and not only with athletes but also for the other back end opportunities that are in it.
