Most people in the world do not get the chance of doing anything remarkable in their lives. Many may do things that are significant for them, but usually, chances of doing something that will change humanity, its culture and its way of thinking are remote. People involved in the French Revolution, artists in the Renaissance, philosophers in ancient Athens, ... they did things that left the world changed.
Most of us have some bitcoin. A few have a lot of bitcoin. Just think that for any reason, in 5 years or 10 years, something happened that dropped bitcoin value or made the network unusable or whatever event or combination of events made it impossible to use it any longer. As far as I am concerned, I can say "I was there and, at least, it was something great and I was part of it". When bitcoin fades, the way people think about currency, self-governance, trust in a system will have changed forever. And you will have been part of it and be able to say "I did something great and it changed the world".

You don't have to do something big just to be remarkable, if that's your goal then you aren't trying to do good, you want people to stroke your ego. There are a lot of ways to be remarkable and it doesn't have to be to a lot of people, smile always, you never know if it can lighten someone's day, say thank you to retail and restaurant workers because they don't get enough of it, buy someone a meal for their day, help people in different ways. Those things can be a way to be remarkable.

Well, if there's an alien 👽 invasion that's disrupts the cryptocurrency world and humans are no longer able to trade, invest or carryout business transactions with them, I'd be grateful that I was part of this community. It would be something great that I learned and contributed to discussion on bitcoin, blockchain technology and cryptocurrency.

Will likely fade away in places where centralized forces have full control over, and that will depend on whether Bitcoin has been completely centralized by them. In 5 years time the world will have an entirely new kind of government/system that has more control over the world. It is also very likely that Bitcoin will continue to exist in its decentralized form in free places that haven't been taken over by the New World System

I do not have to say that because I have more important things to do, making my family secure and living happy. I do not think that making me feel something will make me feel something, but taking part inside the bitcoin world gives me a chance to do something for my life. If we can feel that, there are no words that can impress and we can only say that to ourselves, not to other people, because they can agree or disagree with what we say.

I do not think bitcoin will ever fade anytime soon atleast while I'm still living. Seeing as how great the changes happened in bitcoin over the years when I researched about it, I am amazed and disappointed at why I did not get myself learn about bitcoin soon enough. If I ediscovered this atleast 3 years ago, I'd be ready for a retirement by now.

And you will have been part of it and be able to say "I did something great and it changed the world".
But most of us won't be people who are remembered and written about, like Satoshi, Craig Wright, etc. Nor do I think we need to be, and as far as doing something remarkable with our lives, I like to think that I do small but remarkable things at my job that, if they don't exactly change millions of people's lives, at least help people on an individual level. The way I see it, I could be doing much worse with my lot in life, and I was never looking for fame and fortune anyway so I'm not disappointed. Paxmao, you're correct that people like you mentioned are rare. You can aspire to be a Nobel Prize winner and there's nothing wrong with that, but if you set your expectations that high you're bound to be a more frustrated and angry person as time goes on. Notice I didn't say that one shouldn't work toward such a goal, just that your expectations should be much lower (if you want to be happy, at least).

It's a realistic option, and you should never run away from it, but if the whole thing collapses because people suddenly stop supporting Bitcoin - then we can reasonably wonder if we can be proud to have been a part of something that isn't succeeded? Furthermore, the question arises whether this failure has changed the world in any positive way, because failure would be a sign that people have decided to remain slaves of the current system and literally say "Bitcoin is unnecessary and complicated - I love my plastic card and my PIN". I'm not saying we'll make it, Satoshi didn't say it would happen, but I'm sure we won't keep Bitcoin on the road to success if we think success isn't possible - the only strength we have is in numbers, and when people realize how powerful they are united, maybe then we really make some changes that will be remembered for a long time to come.

We can do this only for our personal satisfaction but if you are standing with the bitcoin until it lasts then no one is going to remember us since no one actually knows who are the person didn't sell when the prices are falling, a common man who think bitcoin as an investment will cashout but there are lot of people who believes bitcoin is going to be the future will withstand.

I usually downplay the impact of my actions that others usually praise. But being a part of bitcoin--or rather owning even just a small sum of it today--is already an achievement on its own. Not a lot of people wanted to be a part of bitcoin or own it this early, albeit being surrounded by large entities grabbing each bitcoin that they can. There's still a lot of negative things people connect to bitcoin even up to this day, which sways a lot of the public's interest away from the cryptocurrency.

That's nice to read about. Most people right now will just remember you when they see Bitcoin spike. Asking if you are still into Bitcoin or not. Then they will try to be nice again and borrow some money. Yes, I know, while you are reading this you have thought of your friend that still has an existing loan from you. Kidding aside, I like to think that way. I am there, I still have the proof, I have my Bitcoins in my stash and if it doesn't have a value anymore then so be it. I am happy I once supported something that made me a better person right now and made me change how to see things in the financial industry. That should be enough reason.

I think that many generations who have witnessed an event can say the same thing. "Yes, I saw it, and it was great!" We are making history today, just as history itself makes us new. Digitalization has become popular in the 21st century, could our ancestors have thought of something like that? And our children and grandchildren will probably look a little differently at what inspires us today. But there is a good saying that says "Times do not choose, they live and die" Today we are building a society of bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, and what will happen after that time itself will show.

You don't have to be remarkable to many and be famous just to say that you did it, any form of help is a remarkable thing even though it's on only small number of people. I don't think that bitcoin is going to go away anytime soon, it's not like people are losing interest with bitcoin and no matter, it is still remarkable thing.

Can't say I agree. If bitcoin busts or the network became unusable, then it will just be a failed idea like so many others. The only thing great about it is that it actually works as a trustless decentralized medium of exchange. Once that's gone, there's nothing left, and having a small period of time of relevancy is not enough to make it great in retrospect. It has to work and it has to work forever, otherwise it's nothing.

Yeah, like it was I've been there and part of that revolution that has changed the world but suddenly there's a bigger and more powerful force that has to stop or replace it.
But that's just an if and bitcoin is here to stay. So if the time comes and bitcoin doesn't have any interruption and you've finally sold everything you hold, it's also the time that you'll say the same.

You are right to compare the cryptocurrency world with revolution, because that's what this is, only not violent, but peaceful, yet not meaningless. Come to think of it, what happened is remarkable.
Everything started just some 12 years ago and it all began as a joke, as something interesting and original, and now Bitcoin had gained such a great impact that it is constantly discussed on the governmental level, many are afraid and see it as a treat, everyone takes this matter seriously now.
It is a new history indeed, and all of us contributed to that. No matter how much you buy Bitcoin and how often do you use it, just being a part of this world already makes a big difference.

And if Bitcoin becomes world currency reserve as well, you can say that I was part of its revolution. Either way, it's good that we have our eyes open to seeing the world differently when it comes to currencies that we never learned in school. If Bitcoin will also fail, we are also part of it.
I'm seeing it hard to fail actually when the big countries are already taking part in the system. It's going to continue or at least with the use of blockchain.

if bitcoin fails or experiences setbacks, but the system that adopts the technology will be different from bitcoin because of the many improvements and new systems that not only look as a currency but rather on the benefits and needs of the current economic ecosystem, so blockchain will appear that will run with the growth of society world, if all else fails we are never disappointed instead we are proud because we have been part of the story that became history in the world
