Gambling addiction has always being compared to the other addiction but it's true that it's the same as the others that the person being addicted to it cannot resist it anymore. At the early stage, it's not yet that much addiction and it can still be stopped with the help of the gambler himself and if not, getting reinforcement from the help of others will certainly give him the help that he needs. But if worse gets worst, that would be hard to tackle because the gambler has to accept that he's in serious condition and he has to admit that he's an addicted gambler. And if not seen a self acceptance of his current status, that will be really difficult for him to overcome it.

this happens to me before . i dreamed of betting and then winning the jackpot but later i woked up and realized its only just a dream .
i felt so bad but dreaming of creating a strategy ? that was crazier but both of this two is a sign of getting addicted to gambling because your over thinking of it the whole day or you have been gambling all day .

Never happen to me but there are dreams that I got to find a Bunch of paper bills in trash can , and when i woke up? i tried to look around where did i put the money lol.

I am very familiar with both depression and gambling addiction. Depressed people can only improve their emotional state with the help of medical professionals or antidepressants or they are doomed to suffer all their lives. No one has ever beaten depression by going to a casino.

Well that's just dumb, not everyone who can control themselves are addicted. How about the people that have ADHD or in the Autism spectrum, they have a hard time concentrating thus they sometimes have no control. There's a big reason why we need those signs, to prevent misdiagnosis and make it awkward to someone.

Gamblers don't realize they are addicted to gambling until it's worse which they've done unthinkable already like breaking the piggybank of his kid just so he could gamble again. But you as a gambler can also notice it to yourself before you get to the worse situation like selling valuables like jewelry so you could play again.

I don't think that it's going to be that you have a problem, it's normal to dream about especially if you're really gambling, does the dream make you impede or drain you? If not then you don't have to worry about anything because you are probably not suffering from addiction unless there's more to it than what you aren't saying in this forum.

Do you realized that you are quoting it wrongly ? tthose people that cannot control themselves are addicted and not those who can.

I think that if a person is at least minimally socialized, then he will definitely receive a signal that his gambling addiction is destroying his life. This information can be provided to him by relatives, work colleagues or neighbors. How he will perceive this information is another question, if he ignores it, this means only his conscious choice.
