The purpose of the forum

This forum exists to provide a platform for the free (but ordered) exchange of ideas. If you have an idea to express, then it is probably possible to do it here as long as you follow the rules.

A lot of people come here primarily looking to make money. The forum administration is very happy that people are able to use the forum in order to better themselves; indeed, one of the reasons for Bitcoin's creation was to break the artificial barriers which prevent so many people around the world from attaining prosperity. However, if your attempts to make money conflict with the forum's primary goal of enabling discussion, then you are swimming upstream, and you will not be sucessful in the end.

If you view the forum as some sort of "job" where you complete some basic tasks and get paid, then you will almost certainly be disappointed, and the forum administration will not be sympathetic. If you do make money using the forum, then it will be through innovation and entrepreneurship, not any sort of mindless busywork.

Forum rank

When you start out, you are a Newbie, and you will run into various annoying limits. These limits will be reduced to the point where you shouldn't usually notice them after you have participated in the forum for a few weeks. If you are on the forum to talk, then that's all you really need to know about rank. Don't worry about it too much, and you will eventually rank up.

If you want to maximize your rank, then you need to increase two statistics which are listed on your profile:

• Activity, which is maximized by posting once per day on average. Posting more than that is useless in raising your activity.
• Merit, which is gained by making good posts.

If you make ten thousand posts in a week, your activity will be capped and you will still be a Newbie. If you make ten thousand useless posts over any period of time, you will gain zero merit and you will still be a Newbie. You can rank up only by making good posts consistently. It's quality over quantity.

When trying to write quality posts, a lot of people act as though they're writing a book report for school: putting facts that we already know into their own words. Nobody wants to read that, and you will not get merit for it. Moreover, the length of your post and the quality of your English are only minor factors. In trying to write a quality post worthy of merit, you should offer new ideas, personal experiences, or perspectives that other forum users will actually find new and interesting.

At least 99% of your posts are all bounty-related and bring zero-value to the forum discussion.

If you want to start, seriously, drop those things. I assume you'd want to rank up just to join those signature campaign, but that kind of posts won't bring you far (if ever).

OP should not focus on bounty instead focus on reading useful topics here.

Probably start by not solely posting on bounty threads to start with.

In addition dont join them and collect some social links from bounty campaign. If your profile is full of links  then likely the chance of ranking up is impossible cause some merit source check some newbie profile and look for good post but if he saw some report link then what post he will give you merit?

What i have to render in this situation is that you should start to work on your account by deleting those bounty links, then start making post on the board you feel are suitable or easy for you to understand the level of their conversations, it's obvious that merit that's the activation of energy of ranking up is given or award base on quality post, so quality post is not base on creating topics alone, it's base on ability of user to understand the body of the composition and contribution positively, so responding to comment or post with  a good idealogy of solution can also attract awards of contribution.

I doubt you'll get to a point where you will rank up based on the post you made above. I see so much bounty hunters out there who stays newbie despite the amount of posts and times they make in the forum. Maybe try to focus on other things.

It's not surprising if someone considered your account as a bot though

Try to reduce your bounty tasks, put more time to explore the forum more and try to involved in discussions (ofc it should not be a spam post)
Soon or later you would able to meet the requirements for rank up

If you are a bounty hunter it will not improve you in any way related to rank(achievement) you just get some aiddrop tokens or Bounty scam.

                                            

If you change your profession as a bounty hunter and you switch to professional contributions in this Bitcointalk, chances are your rank will increase 1-2 or 3 levels higher, it could be the last level, bottom line: as I said.

I’ve said it many times. People are entitles to do bounty hunting if they wish, but those tasks are self-centred, and bear no alignment to the quotes @SquirrelJulietGarden pointed out before. Ranks have been for years related to Merits (+Activity), and these are generally awarded to posts that are interesting to the community, and have some substance to the content.

There are a couple of good examples I recall on the forum that did chase bounties, but also contributed to the forum through decent regular posts. Those I recall are now Legendaries, and barely, if at all, do any bounty hunting now.

Op take a break from bounty hunting. Read up on the forum I'm certain you will find something that will be of interest to you. Try and be genuinely involved in a discussion and contribute your fair share. Step by step you will find yourself doing more...and more

Just like many have written before me, you shouldn't just do bounty postings. Nobody will really reward you for this, because you basically don’t contribute "nothing" to the community here in the forum. You should get involved more and sometimes help others with questions, so help others at the beginning so that they help others at some point and we continue to grow.

Stop focusing on bounties and start partaking in discussion or exchange of ideas. Focusing on bounties won't help you at all. The number one reason why a forum user won't receive merit is when you are here in the forum participating on bounties only and never join discussions between forum users. Try to look back on the ICOs you have joined who's rank is newbie or jr. member with many post but only have 1 merit or none and check it if most of them got merit. Also, most of your posts are in bounties as discussed by posts above.

You don't need to rank for bounty campaign and just join them on service section but that won't help you in long run as you are going on the wrong track mate and I don't blame you for this as for most of the newbies joining this forum is for bounty hunting and recognise this forum as source of income but you need to change your mentality and learn first and then share your thoughts with others and you will rank up if you want to but your aim don't match with your efforts.

This is the only post that can be read and other posts are just bounty reports that do not contribute to the forum at all, do you want to change to be a good behavior in this forum or just want to be a hunter full of shitcoin tokens?

It will never be achieved to become a ranked member because what you see the money in the bounty is not a unique post, even this is almost 400 bounty posts meaning I think almost all of your bounties follow it here.

Leave the behavior like that and start from scratch I think you already understand a little how this forum is to be used and after ranking you will find something valuable in yourself.

My experience about rank up, is first thought actually from other higher rank members, is that you can do it -rank up- even if you are a bounty spammer now once in your heart you are truly changed and want to have knowledge then you can rank up.
My experience also was to find how I can get knowledge and how I can give back part if not maximum of that knowledge. You have taken a good stride by this your post, the next one is actually read the replies and compare and contrast yourself by them. Good luck.

For the first time in my bitcointalk history, I'm being met by a proud bounty hunter. It's a plus to you really but, that also means, you haven't been paying attention to any other board of this forum aside from the bounty sub-board else, you would have had some ideas on how the forum really feels about bounties and bounty hunters. Not like bounties is a bad thing but then, it leads to the promotion of scams that could have been avoided and clouds the crypto space with worthless tokens.

Anyway, should uou be looking out to rank up in the forum, it might interest you to for-go your current bounty hunting profession as, it just doesn't go and if you must bounty hunt, it shouldn't be so much as 30% of your posts. It becomes a set back that way @OP and you might want to participate more in gainful forum discussions.

OP did the first and most important step, he went out of his comfort zone known as altcoin bounties section, something that like 99% of the bounty hunters never do and just even that is a success. I do hope that this merit he got will serve him as an incentive to check other parts of the forum, learn thing or two about bitcoin and rank while doing so, but somehow I think he only needed 1 merit to join some bounty campaign so that's why he went out of his way. Hope I am wrong though.

Most of your content is related to the bounty threads well it's never been too late to make a change. Try to change your mindset regarding the forum it's not all about the reports and makes your quota. It's all about the knowledge, source of information and more bitcoin talk gives you the things you need to make self-improvement.  To get a higher rank try to improve or change the posting habit you made try to contribute, share, give information that might benefit the forum members by that you can now get your merits. Don't chase merit if you have good content the merit will come.
