Charlo is the favourite obviously, as he is the more power puncher between the two. at 1.41 and Castano as the underdog 2.70. But we don't have other options, I'm looking at Charlo to win by TKO around 7+ rounds. We might see a knock out in the process and then Charlo going for the kill.

The Charlo brothers are really making a name for themselves in the 154-160 division.

His identical brother, Jermall won last month if I'm not mistaken at 160 lbs and his name keeps popping up as possible for GGG or even Canelo (if he chooses to go up to 168 lbs).

^^ Yeah, I think Charlo got this one, but Castano is no sleeper here. He could make this fight competitive for Charlo as he just blasted his previous opponents and knocking them out. Plus, ring rust might play here, Charlo hasn't been fighting for a while so he is obviously inactive and could be rusty in the early rounds. This is the first time we will see an undisputed champion since the WBO was recognized as a major world title so it has some historical significance. As I've read about Jelmell Charlo, I'm amaze on his record and he only got 1 lose and 18 knock outs. This fight shouldn't be missed, because on this division I believed the odds is with him. Looks like we will have another good fight this coming weekend, these guys are fighting for the championship or what? to be honest, never heard of them as their weight division is not really that popular unlike the Heavyweight or the Bantamweight division where most of the popular boxers are there. Anyway, looking forward to this fight and this will be the chance to see how these guys fight at their current weight if they can still keep their power and speed, that depends on what kind of strategy they will use in the ring.

Charlo's reach can be a big factor here because Castano is much shorter compared to Charlo but that's not the case for many because we've seen Pacquiao fight against people with a height and reach advantage. Charlo is my bet on this match looking at his records and experience, that almost a year of inactivity will not matter because he will go for training and that will makes him more fit again. Charlo has a big advantage in the reach and by using this he may catch Castano  with check hooks. I don't think  Charlo  gonna let himself get into close-range punching. So Castano needs to watch carefully and use rolling movements to avoid Charlo's distanced punches. Seeing the odds at the moment, Charlo @1.42, Castano @2.85, this only shows that sports bookies are giving Castano a high chance of winning but that still to be seen and if you are a Charlo fan, this odd is attractive enough for you to make a bet.

Conditioning is important so I think that the one that got back to their fighting level by the time they are face to face is the one that's going to win this match. Charlo is the hard hitter here that's why the odds are all in favour for him. The thing is that there are not yet household names that why majority of us are not familiar with him and how good the Charlo twins are, they are not next generations in the 154 to 160 lbs division.

I'm not seeing a decision here, most likely they will going to slug it out and may the best man win and that could be Charlo because of his physical advantage and his power in both hands.

I also haven't seen how Castano fight, with that said, Charlo might have all the tools though because this kid is the champion is almost all the ABC's belt and his name has been making some noise in the last couple of years. His also stepping up the competition and in the last 3 fights of his, he is taking huge leap by taking good opponents and destroying them. Or how they are going to execute their game plan. Of course, this two have prepared very hard so I would say they are even in that category. But the execution could be the critical part. Will either one of them stick to the game plan when they feel each other power? Or will they have plan B if plan A didn't work? But since Charlo is the favorite in this fight, so you made a good bet on him. And hopefully Castano will not derail Charlo's plan to clean up this division for good. In terms of experience, of course Charlo is more superior than Castano, Charlo has won almost 34 fights and only lost once from 35 matches so far, of course this fight will be a fight that is quite meaningful for him because only one step away Charlo will be able to become a boxer who undeniable in the 69.8 kg class, but even so Castano is not an easy opponent for charlos, because Castano also really wants to win the fight so that he can become the first fighter to become the undisputed champion in the junior middle class with four titles, moreover Castano is a boxer who has strong stamina and body endurance and has an aggressive style of play so far in the ring.

This is 154 lbs fight, I doubt that Canelo can go down that low. His twin brother in campaigning at 160 lbs. So most likely it will be his brother that Canelo is looking for and not Jermell. Unless either GGG or Canelo beat Jermall, then maybe Jermell can move up to 160 lbs and try to have the narrative of avenging his brother's lost to either of the two.

Unfortunately, the match ended as a draw. A lot of us are hoping that Charlo will win on this fight, and am guessing a lot also betted on him. So maybe, we will see part 2 of this match very soon.

Castano performed better than expected but it was not really a surprise that it was a draw. There was always some doubt about how good Charlo was. It was a close fight and the draw seems fair to me. They should have an immediate rematch and next time I would favor Castano. His skill level seems superior to me. Charlo has good heart and can punch but he is a limited fighter when it comes to technique.

Yep it ended on a split draw, on my personal card it was 114-114 so I think they got the decision correct although one judges score it for Castano 117-111, the judge is from Puerto Rico, the other judge from the US scored it 114-113 for Charlo and then for the draw 114-114  Nevada’s Tim Cheatham.

charlo got lucky on this match. because even some unofficial scorecards, they are favouring castano. but lucky for him that the final decision depends on those 3 judges. i guess if there will be re-match, charlo should better prepare or else, castano will rip all those belts. was rooting for charlo because of his edge over castano. but castano really made a move inside the ring.

But I would agree that it can go either way, but I see Castano edging out Charlo by one point. But the judges see otherwise. We don't know if there will be rematch, or maybe Charlo will take another fighter in the list or a mandatory again. But Castano surprises me here, if he has just enough power in this pop, he could have taken down Charlo with this volume punching. He chin check Charlo already and that is the reason why Charlo went into the defensive the whole fight. Charlo hurt Castano in the 10th round, as he admit it, but Charlo failed to capitalised it, he should have knock out or knock down Castano that would have make the difference in this fight. But Castano weathered the storm, and even though he lost the 10-12 round in the judges score card, he was able to secure a good lead prior to that. That's why if Charlo could have knock him down in that 10th, for sure he will be declared the victor here. There should be a rematch in my opinion.

I agree with the result, Castano is a real warrior, he was able to give Charlo a toe to toe fight and the Fans love it. This fight deserves a rematch and I think Charlo would win in the rematch, he is the bigger fighter, if he just learns how to master his jab, I think the outcome will be different.

I was not able to watch the fight live but looking at the highlights, I can tell it's 50/50 and the result is accurate.

Agree with the rematch, the performance of both fighters are what other aspiring boxers should aim for and Castano winning the match is a well deserved one. It's a good game for both side and it seems that seeing the fight, they both gave their all in the fight.
