Lately I've been seeing tweets from Elon Musk and Matt Wallace who very often glorify Dogecoin and even they both seem to dislike BTC and ETH, thus saying that the Dogecoin transaction system is faster and cheaper than BTC and ETH, even Elon Musk himself immediately said that Dogecoin will be superior to Bitcoin and Ethereum after upgrading.
How do you guys react to this kind of thing?

Ignore and unfollow. If I use Twitter, that's what I'll do. Their opinions are what they believe and for someone who has the basic knowledge about cryptocurrencies, you'll understand that they're all talking to pump the coin and dump it all at once when their believers have been fooled again. This didn't happen only once but many times already and everyone must learn that his tweets are no longer valid and are just causing the people to pump and dump Dogecoin but, he's more on the dumping side once it actually reaches the price he sets on his mind.

I see it as a joke and they are playing into the fact that Dogecoin is a meme coin and therefore promoting it is a meme. Elon Musk has been known to do this with other things before so I do not think this is too far fetched to believe. Dogecoin is a meme and while I know there are some die hard followers there is no reason why Dogecoin should be more successful than Bitcoin its transactions are cheaper but overall the project does not have many benefits over Bitcoin and has more disadvantages.

Cant argue much with that. Yes dogecoin can be faster than the two but we all knew how powerful are those two right? Imagine taking over against btc and eth will still hard to do cause majority of users, traders and even investors are on their side. Adoption has really kick in and I believe that bitcoin and ethereum are just getting started. transactions are faster and cheaper indeed that is a fact of doge. I myself also sometimes use doge for transactions between exchanges, because this is more profitable than using other coins. but if doge is said to be better than bitcoin, i don't agree with this. bitcoin is much better and I think Elon Musk or matt wallace know this fact too. the reason they pay more attention to doge maybe because from the beginning their statement is just a joke.

They can't fool anyone now. I use to hold thousands of Doge I once liked Doge but now it's just not going to work for Elon now. If there is just one fact that will discourage every investor of Doge, it's how much per block is produced. 10,000 Dogecoins every minute is not going to solve anything not to mention the max supply of it. It's not a fud against it but a FACT.

If Elon and Wallace are going them all up every minute, it's their thing. Don't be convinced anymore, you know how Elon had destroyed it on SNL.

It helps because you will be updated on their current movement, reasons behind sways and fluctuations in the market could be because of them. (just a little bit)

You can always just unfollow them but you will miss their FUD's and it had been a part of cryptocurrencies.

This is a recycled topic. This has been discussed over and over again, but with the addition of another name in Matt Wallace. I don't know the guy or if he is more or less informed than Elon Musk. But what I know is that they are here to cause disruption and misinformation among the public.

We should not worry though. If you are told that a shitcoin is better than Bitcoin, how would you react? Me, I'd just laugh it off. I have already encountered so many projects that claimed to be better than Bitcoin. That was years ago. They are now gone and Bitcoin is rising more.

I am sure that he is soon planning to sell or make a big profit from his Dogecoin that is why he again tried to say something that can possibly prop up the price of the coin in the market. Words are empty and they can only be be gaining some weight when the people listening to them are taking action. I don't react to that kind of thing anymore at all. When Elon Musk made his first positive tweets about cryptocurrencies a few months ago i had quite an impact on the whole market and let the prices of nearly all cryptos climb. Then, when he announced that BTC will be accepted by tesla as a payment method the prices went up even more and with his shill tweets for Dogecoin he made it rise to price levels that were never seen before. Then all of a sudden he said Tesla will not accept BTC anymore because of environmental and energy reasons and in a TV-show he said that Dogecoin is basically just a hustle which made the prices go down again.
Since then a lot of crypto people don't really like Elon Musk anymore as he is playing with the wealth of a lot of people with his tweets.

I think also Kim stated that she has some altcoins also. Well, again they are hyping it again. My reaction with this is nothing since it doesn't affect me whether who is the one introducing it to me. We have some sort of experience in crypto since we are in the forum so we all know how to react to this kind of thing. But, remember that just because an influencer or executive tweets about a cryptocurrency does not mean it is valuable or a good investment. If we follow the social media hype then we will often result in money lost.

Dislike BTC, they don't. Because they do know that Bitcoin is the leader of crypto market. Their tweets are to manipulate the price of Bitcoin first, then the market. Bitcoin crashes, the whole market will be in red.

What they try to shill Dogecoin is for their benefits. There are many altcoin projects that are better than Dogecoin and Dogecoin will never be comparable to even Ethereum, so it will never reach to the level of Bitcoin.

Cheap transaction fees and fast transaction speed don't mean Dogecoin is better than Bitcoin.

I think by now we already know what Elon Musk is all about, he has been playing with us ever since he started to enter the crypto space, first with Dogecoin and then bitcoin. And then his anti-bitcoin sentiments and his famous or infamous shill with Dogecoin. True, Dogecoin is faster and cheaper, but how about the support of community though? Still bitcoin is the king and prime mover of crypto. As to the reaction to Elon Musk? I really cannot dispute what these people were saying. It is true that Dogecoin might be faster than Bitcoin or Ethereum, but of we still cannot deny the influence these coins have compared to Dogecoin. The Dogecoin supporters will continue supporting the coin and they the news that Elon might even be working with Doge's creator to upgrade the said cryptocurrency is already proof many supporters want to see that DOGE still has something on it and that can be achieved through a giant upgrade of the coin.
