I was exploring this site when I saw complains of post being deleted by moderator. The person in particular was really lamenting of is Posts being deleted. People were attacking him of being a shit poster but I disagree with such conclusion. I saw more persons trying to make fool of him with different funny meme pics to describe his complains. The scene was really not friendly at all.
Later, I received a message of my post being deleted, I was shocked because that was my first post. It is not fair for a moderator to be deleting posts because it does not support his ideas which absolutely I think everyone has different ways of reasoning logically. I was meniacally bewildered with such kind of unscrupulous act.
Is a post that is not supporting or in contrary to the poster idea a shit post? I really want to understand this concept.

Posts can be deleted for an array of reasons, such as being of low value, having links to malware, being a result of plagiarism, and being off-topic. Post are not really deleted for being of one opinion or another, nor picking sides in an argument or debate. If you are referring to this post being deleted, then it was probably reported for low value content, and the mod agreed: I don't think that Bitcoin is the world currency looking at the way it flies any how making people to lose their money without knowing why.

I believe you have seeing the reasons why posts can be deleted. Try to make quality posts, if you want to post on any board, be familiar with the board first. Like the bitcoin boards, before you should start posting, know what they are posting, read more than you post at the start, you will get more of this forum and be well familiar with the type of post needed. This forum is not just about posting, the main reason is to learn and help one another with quality and useful posts.

Posts are deleted because they are spam, low quality, off-topic or containing links that are not allowed in the forum and not because you disagree with someone with your opinion. Make constructive and on topic posts and see if they will ever be deleted.
Look at your quoted deleted post again and see if it's really worthy. To me, it's not at all.

Besides what was already stated by other members, I should mention that if you are posting in a self-moderated thread, the thread starter has the ability do delete any posts he doesn't like. Those posts don't have to necessarily be against any of the forum rules. The fact that someone simply doesn't like you can be enough for your post to be deleted. Since it's a self-moderated thread, admins can't and won't do anything about it. Posts are been deleted when it's not related to Bitcoin or Bitcointalk forum. No moderator will delete a post that will benefit members of the forum Not if the discussions are in sub-forums that don't concern Bitcoin, like the altcoin boards, off-topic, etc. If you want, you can discuss what type of bear is the best as long as that thread is posted where it belongs. This is a reference to the TV show The Office for anyone who asks.

No, and don't take it personally. if you spend enough time reading here in the forum you'll see a lot of arguments, posts that are against bitcoin, the forum, the thread creator, or between commenters. your post was just deemed low value by the mod that's why it was deleted.

Posts are deleted for a wide range of reasons and one of the most common reason will be the quality of the post. Writing anything that does not make any sense will not help you or anyone else here. Try to be to the point and explanatory when you are writing here. Creating a topic on the wrong board will also invite deletion from the mods.

In addition to what others have already said, if a thread got deleted because of it being low quality or spam, all the posts on that thread also gets deleted. It doesn't necessarily mean that the post you made is a spam, it's just that you posted it in a spam thread so it got removed as well.

Seeing your deleted post that was posted above by @DdmrDdmr was totally meaningless and deserves to be deleted. If you're contrary to Bitcoin you should have a concrete answer and the reason why for your debate, it seems you didn't know well how Bitcoin works, and obviously, that was a shitpost that might there are many users who reported your post. We should be thankful to our moderators here in the forum, they had maintained the cleanliness and delete all those spam, imagine if there are hundreds or thousands of members who posted the same on your post that has been deleted, no one will visit here and read those post and topics. Learn to post quality posts and avoid low-quality topics which will most likely be deleted.

Depends what you mean by "supporting". If you mean having the opposite opinion of the original poster, then that is fine. In fact, that's usually the way things go around here, someone makes a point, and others usually try to correct them on what they believe was wrong. If you mean not on topic, as in not contributing to the original posters idea, and your replying to another user in the thread then it could be considered off topic depending on the context. Posts are been deleted when it's not related to Bitcoin or Bitcointalk forum. No moderator will delete a post that will benefit members of the forum
Not totally accurate the way you say it, but moderators will only delete posts which they believe break the guidelines. That is up to their discretion. I'm sure there has been times where a post technically might have been useful to certain users, but it wasn't on topic in a thread. For example, if you told me how to run my own node, in a thread about Bitcoin exchanges, then that would be off topic, despite potentially being useful to other users.

It’s okay. I also have a lot of posts expressing my own opinions have been deleted, because answering a question, there must be an opposition, there are pros and cons, if others do not like your posts, they may be deleted, or they think they are of no value Don't copy other people's posts, or they will definitely delete the posts for you. Learn more about the rules.

The moderators has all the freedom upon deciding if they will delete a post or not. There are times when they seem unfair like for example, you are very certain that you posted stuffs relevant to the topic and didn't plagiarize yet they chose to delete your post. It would be best if you wouldn't complain anymore or make it a big deal, just keep on sharing your thoughts and accept it whenever it gets removed. There are a lot of people in the forum already and not everyone are posting valid ideas and comments related to the post. Just don't be one of them and watch the things you are sharing each day you are posting.

Not so fun fact: there have been a couple of times where some of my posts in the past got deleted as well, even if I totally disagree with some of the decisions; so yea, it's totally not because of your rank. But in the end, guess what? It's just a freakin topic response. Maybe the moderator probably just misunderstood what I was trying to say or missed my point, or maybe he/she thinks it's not constructive enough hence the deletion, but whatever. It's really not a big deal. Now, if someone's posts are getting deleted regularly, then there might actually be a problem (mostly with the poster).

I also deleted two posts that I thought were not spam at the time. Now I think about it. My few replies did not express my own views. I am also a little curious about the reporting mechanism. I reported a post, The post has only two characters: +1.I'm curious why I would report a failure

I’m not sure I’m understanding what you mean here, but I believe you are wondering why some of your reports are marked as bad. It gets easier to understand the more you report, especially when you reach the 300 good reports and gain access to viewing a list of your reports over the last 30 days, with a status alongside each report. That enables you to pinpoint those marked as bad, and maybe recall better what you reported, and infer why it may have been marked bad. I’ve got something like 14 reports marked as bad, most from before I started to gain visibility to the list mentioned above. Reports are marked bad when the moderator disagrees with you, and determines that the report has no grounds. Grey areas may be left unhandled, and good reports may have been reported with an inexact content, but marked as good just the same. i.e. I’ve often reported that a given post would probably be moved to a certain board, and the moderator ends up moving it to a different board. The post is moved and the report marked as good, despite suggesting a wrong board (or not the best fitting board). This guide is very good to get a general wind of reporting on this forum: [Unofficial Guide] Reporting effectively.

Is there a clear guideline to this though? I mean there's some posts that forget one or two and some have more so is there a fixed criteria that everyone can follow through and accept?

There is none, it's just personal feelings of moderators and people who report posts. I think it's okay to occasionally get your posts deleted, I have 8 posts out of my 6978 posts, and I could have argued that a few were unjustified, but I'm not that petty to do so. So, if you get a few of your posts deleted, that's not a problem, if it happens regularly, then you should rethink your behavior on this forum.
