I can't reply to some topics

I don't see a "reply" button in some threads. The most obvious reason is that they are closed to new members but I can find any information about it. Is it for certain levels or for those levels that the starter of the topic chooses? How can I know when I can start to reply?

Can you point out the topics you can't reply to?

The obvious reason is that the thread is locked by the topic starter so no one can post a reply in it. There are also other boards like serious discussion and Ivory tower where a newbie can not post.

It's locked. Check out the paddlock icon on the top left of the topic page, next to the word "Author"

For these stricted boards to newbies and some ranking, are those boards are atuomatically cant response mate? Or they can but there is a warning during composing on message that  "you are not allowed to reply on this message".

Also if you are ignores by someone who created the topic. Cant reply to that and see it.

the reply button is not available for newbies if they visited Serious discussion board or Ivory tower (but I am not sure if this restriction includes newbies with copper membership). so yeah, you automatically can't respond or make a topic if you are a newbie in that board.

If you can't see a rely from a thread, it maybe that the thread has been locked by the owner or a moderators, so in the aspect of you don't know when you will start making a post or creating a topic as a newbie, it's obvious that no user have a fixed time or period to start making a quality post, just go through the boards and check the board that are suitable for you via composition, and at first read before posting, it's one of the criteria for post making.

Before you think of sending a reply to a topic post you need to look out for and understand the basics of posting or sending a reply on a given topic.

If the topic is one that is locked then, you will not be able to reply to such.
It is good to observe them well before thinking of a reply to such a post or topic.

The possible reasons for that can be moderator or the person who has created that thread has locked that thread so no further replies can be made to that particular thread and you will find lock icon along with subject like this:



You can only watch this thread and read replies and other reasons are like
 -There are some pinned threads to which you can't reply
-Some thread like in gambling discussion are paid ones by the pool to which you can't reply until you pay the fees for the same and indulge in discussing
-To some threads newbies can't reply

There are some topics that have been answered too many times or locked in low quality  topics. Which you can't answer. There are also some topics that are locked by OP after getting proper answers to avoid spam. If you see any such topics, they are no answered.

No, that's not the case... You can reply to topics that were made by someone that ignored you, but they'll only see the following line instead of the post itself:

Well, there are actually instances wherein you cannot reply to a certain topic as the moderators or the original poster locks it. On the other hand, it can also be caused by being banned or receiving negative feedback from moderators as you post stuffs that are unrelated or does not meet the requirements. You should always pay attention to the things you are saying in the forum so that you can avoid making mistakes or suddenly getting banned or receiving negative trust. You'll easily know when you can reply already as the reply button appears on a certain post.

Thses are some points I wanted to state out but then, the first reply nailed it. Well, there are some boards already pointed out that aren't open to newbies though, its got its way around it should you @OP be that desiring to make a post or comment on a particular thread or comment within a thread of that board. You could be a corper membership that puts you ahead of q fresh account or you can wait on your account to come of rank and then, you can freewill post in all boards of the section.

Again, ots of note that, these boards with restrictions and aces where signatures or campaign posts doesn't count are the least exploited or spammed on the forum. Don't you guys see it that way? What does this go to prove then...

If you are the one who locked it then it can still be unlocked when you want to. This is used mostly on a thread about giveaway or something like that where the op must locked it temporarily then unlocked it but if the mod is the one who locked it then it cannot be unlocked by you unless the mod unlocked it.

Some of the threads are restricted to the lower rank such as the ivory tower only full members and above can make it, also some of the threads are already locked by the author or by the moderators to prevent having spam, or already get the answer. Base on your thread I guess some of the members answered your question you can now lock this thread too just go to the lower left part of the thread and click the lock topic, still you can unlock it if you want to.
