few months ago there was a user who said that the population of crypto users is just 1% of the total population of the world.
it could be that we are just concentrating on news media that regularly posts about BTC and its adoption or not minding the news of regular people anymore because certainly if we in crypto are just 1% of the entire population, what price could BTC have if we reach 20%.

with El Salvador adoption though,  i think there could be more than 1% by now.

It's a good question to ask. And we never know the correct answer. For now, cryptocurrencies are highly preferred as a great alternative to fiat. People love to invest into it, use it as a payment option where it's possible. Even if the governments make their own digital currencies and stop using fiat completely, I think that cryptocurrencies will still be preferred.

if memory doesn't fool me even in the US there are people who don't know about bitcoin and who never bought bitcoin, then if in a first world country like the US there are people who don't even know about bitcoin imagine how many people don't know about bitcoin in the countries third world where technology is still not accessible to everyone. Bitcoin's popularity will still grow a lot in the next few years, bitcoin is still very young in terms of adoption.

I believe that at least 3% to 5% of the world population has had some contact with bitcoin or at least heard about bitcoin

When it comes to trends, it's like seasonality where when a trend occurs, the cryptocurrency market price will rise high because this is due to a rising trend from high public demand, therefore cryptocurrency will still be liked a lot even though it's not trending.

Of course not, on the contrary, I saw in an article that explained that the demand for bitcoin is always increasing because people have started to think that fiat money can be inflationary and bitcoin only falls because it is bearish so something that can be a reference for them to choose bitcoin as a modern currency.

The population density of cryptocurrency is unlimited provided that cryptocurrency is in existence, now a cryptocurrency is been known worldwide and to abolish a cryptocurrency currently is very difficult because it's decentralized currency and even government is finding it very difficult to eliminate it's existence because of it's importance across the countries is now going higher than the fiat currency of different countries, so from my perspective a cryptocurrency more especially bitcoin is going to have more firm compare to before, because the massive adoption of it is at higher velocity, so from understanding concerning cryptocurrency network, a cryptocurrency will continue moving further.
