What do we always mean by top coins?
How do you define Top or best to a investor who bought at high time or fomo because he/she was told its the best. Even with due diligence, one can still encounter loss in unfortunate situations ( the bad side of crypto). Attacks inform code vulnerability may be encountered or bug, hackers/ more experienced individuals can exploit the contract and move the funds.
From the list above, DIA was one of the project exploited during kucoin hack, till today withdrawals hasn't been enable and the all time high should be around - 60% if not more than. Then I imagine who bought at all time high.
Fundamentally, all projects with product are potentially good and profiting if you never lost on them.

I don't get why utrust is doing there. It has literally no point anymore. When it was being developed, they tried to fill a gap on the market for payment system, yet the team was mostly advertisers instead of coders and they were too slow to deliver anything meaningful. After their ico there has already been several services that you can use to pay with cryptos over internet and utrust makes less and less sense in any of this. In hindsight it's pretty clear that they were always doomed to fail.

Kardiachain is picking up some steam because of blockchain games like MyDeFiPet. I'm looking forward to their non-invasive crosschain tech. That should create enough hype to lift it to over $200 Million (or close).

The only other project I know from the list is Verasity. They survived the 2018-2019 bear market and I wonder why they are still under $100 million.

The NFT token already gained a traction again. I have some from them like casper,linear, polkastarter, dia and alice but in my opinion if a coin like alice that can give the real usability just like play to earn. Potentially to be the next axie infinity. we will see what will be happening with it but i guess those coins are potential coins for now.
Im still holding casper now and im thinking it this will be the big project in the future.

I'm holding PYR, Algo,... Among them, I'm looking forward to PYR the most, I hope it's a perfect rival to Axie (after great success at the last stage) in the future game ecosystem... I also continued to buy it today as the market calmed down a bit. PYR is still quite low and it is still in the process of going outside. July 25 will be a beautiful day.

Market capacity is a misleading and unreal measure in evaluating currencies or making investment decisions.
It is easy to manipulate the market capacity, especially with limited trading volumes, and it can be manipulated while controlling the quantity supplied by including more currencies or burning some of them.

Include more real metrics and then we may find enough reason to invest in these currencies.

BTW it is subjective, the 15 top altcoins for you may be different for others. Well out of the 15 you listed ,I only have little unit of DIA, very few and I'm hodling firm to it. It did well during the bull and I believe is a good project.

Too risky to put some of my assets to those coins because the probabilty to crash is quite high in this market condition. I'm just putting my money to strong fundamental coins like ETH, BNB and other top coins because it's safer although the return won't as high as those coins you mentioned if market going bullish. But those coins are quite good for speculation trades

How the author of the article made his choice is not clear to me.
Moreover, comparing capitalization projects is the most idiotic idea, especially after bull run, when prices are still very high and many projects are overvalued.

those 15 coins are seems to me like it have had been make up by the author of the source image, among top of solid projects they choose a project that hasn't have any working product yet apart from better competitors, just saying tho. and to be honest i don't hold any one of them and i prefer to hold more reliable projects such as polkadot and mina

Probably you're expecting that there's a potential on that altcoins like what you have mentioned above because they don't have any good progress during the bull run, unlike top 20 alts in coinmarketcap. No mate that's not how it works, because even they all have a good market cap it's still unknown and unpredictable if it can guarantee profits afterwards.. Remember there are some fake numbers when it comes listing through different site and perhaps even cmc.. So think about it, in fact those names are not popular in the space so it's very skeptical..

There are tons of preference we need to study before we will be able to know whether the project have potential. The 2017 icon hype is no longer applicable.Some on the list is still unknown. So for safe investment we still need to have the top altcoins while risking minimal in some new projects. It will be better to join in some groups that share knowledge with new projects than rely only on our research since there are many coins that we might not notice.
