Protonmail stores your mail encrypted. Even if they would restore access to your mailbox for you, you wouldn't be able to read old emails without your old password.

General advice: don't use email (or any other third party) to store private keys, and don't make it your (only) recovery option.

So I'm guessing you emailed yourself the private keys? How did you even get ahold of them in the first place, it's not a straightforward process to copy them (for Bitcoin Core you must use "dumpwallet" command) so chances are the keys must be exported inside a file somewhere on your system.

Without the password hash, nobody can help you brute-force the password.

Saving private key or seed phrase on email is risky, why not just save it offline and protect it. If private key is hard to save offline, why not go for HD wallet with seed phrase saved offline. Just in case of next time.

If you do remember your password and get access to the private keys I would suggest that you take out all the Bitcoin on the addresses that the private key is for and put it into a completely new wallet with new private keys and do not email your private keys next time. By storing your private keys digitally you are compromising your security if anyone ever gets into them especially a online service like ProtonMail.

I would never suggest anyone to expose their private keys or seed words online or sending them with email, and it doesn't matter if they are encrypted or not.

Now I seriously doubt in anything you say and write, because you wrote in the same day that you also lost your ledger wallet and your password for your email so it looks like some fake questions and lame merit hunting, but maybe I am wrong  Roll Eyes

I lost my ledger device because i have connected with electrum (most stupid idea ever) and at this moment i can access my electrum wallet but in order to transfer btc an error appears "Please insert your Ledger. Verify the cable is connected and that no other application is using it. It seems i cannot get private keys neither.. Can someone help out with an issue... there will be bounty aswell Smiley

According to this if you remember the old password you can recover it or if you have a recovery email or phone number you can recover your email. If you don't have any of these including the old password there is no way to recover your Email.

Why not try to contact protonmail support?
You can set an appointment with them and wait for their phone calls and tell the support about your email or any ways to prove that you own that email.
Read this https://protonmail.com/support/knowledge-base/customer-support-phone-number/

And let's hope that the support can help you recover the Email password.

Why not try to contact protonmail support?
Because with today's social media mindset it seems that folks would prefer to post such questions to get answers from random people vs actually 1st trying the support desk...  Roll Eyes

What are you saying make no sense... Why should i waste my time making those topics for nothing?
I know i stored somewhere my keys but didn't know which mail because i use more than 6 personal emails for different bussines. If someone could help me out to crack my email that would be great if not... don't know what to say.

Why would people want to store their "Private key" on a public server, even if all mail are encrypted? Protonmail is very secure, but I still do not trust any centralized platform with my Private key.

Where did you get your private key from? (Did you create Paper wallets or did you extract it from a web wallet?) If it was a desktop or web wallet, then it might have generated "Seed" words that you can use to recover the wallet and then extract the Private keys?

Good luck....  Wink
