I can't say anything directly about Polka, but generally about the current altcoin market. I think you've also noticed that we've been in a bear market for a few weeks. Initially, prices fell abruptly and for several weeks they continue to fall but much slower. Slowly but steadily. So far there is no bottom visible. It reminds a little of the phases after the highs in 2013 and 2017. The bear market can still go further, so buying is currently still not recommended.

based on what do you expect $5 price for a DOT? it was at almost $50 two months ago, and sliding down, but $5 seems as too low
DOT is a good project, although development is not going that smooth, and Kusama is also developing, with auctions already in progress, and KSM is also sliding down, due to market correction

one should analyze before investment, and invest in projects that are good from analysis point, one should not invest based on forum topics

Been months now, to be honest though, I'm one of those who regret not investing early, when the price is still too low and seeing a lot of good predictions about this coin. I could have made a good to decent profit about it.

But since we are in a bearish trend right now, I'm still confused if I'm going to invest or now. It's been a waiting game for the majority of us, so I would say it's might be a good time to invest again as the price is at a bargain.

Last time all time is $50.00, now it's around $12.00, that's a huge swing because we unexpectedly entered a bearish cycle.

Hard to say if it's time to invest or not, majority of the alt coins are bleeding now and we don't know if we are going to see another super fast bullish cycle or not before the end of the year so it's a big risk. Unless "invest what you can afford to lose" attitude then why not?

DOT has been loosing more than 65% since its ATH and it looks like based on the chart of DOT has not yet reached the bottom. This chain is totally overvalued at this moment. There are not lots of NFT and defi build on DOT and mostly of NFT and defi were still using ethereum, BSC, and matic. it looks like you must wait until the price of DOT will be going down even deeper than before dude.

No one will be able to predict the price of any coin including Polkadot, because in difficult times like this, the development of web 3.0, and running the Airdrop program cannot guarantee that the price will increase, because market conditions and the price of Polkadot are not determined in these two things.

I started buying polkadot at $2 in August 2020. I saw polkadot rose to almost $50. Seeing these low price again,  it is no brainer that it is time to start investing in polkadot at these attractive prices. The market is down and bearish,  perfect time to cherry pick on quality altcoin like polkadot,  ether, polygon and some hidden experimental altcoin!

There's no guarantee that it will come back its price again. so it will be a gamble if you want to invest right now. you can try it but remember you need to wait to get some decent amount of income and you might double your capital if your speculations are right. But remember not to put money that you aren't able to afford to lose because as I said, this is obviously gambling with the current market situation. it could be a good time to invest or it could be not.

As far as I know dot is a good coin, Polkadot is a solid project with standard and high quality team behind it, great ecosystem as well, still has more room to grow, so to see the price of dot and several similar projects drop in price is an opportunity to buy them low, nobody can precisely predict where the market is going and what the price would be, but if you have a long term goal in mind, it will make sense more, Polkadot is a long term project.

If you are planning short term, I think you shouldn’t invest now. It may go further low within this month and $7-$8 would be a great opportunity to have position.
On the other hand, if you are planning long term, I think this is a wise decision to invest in DOT now. However, following DCA would be the best strategy.

I think the same as you that we are in a bear market and buying is still not recommended. I think that most likely the price of all cryptocurrencies including polkadot will drop until October, we have to be able to buy at the right time.

Yes, $5 for a unit of Polkadot is a very reasonable price and also not too far to reach, but what matters at this point is not how much it will cost, but when the cryptocurrency market will recover, because without it, everyone just can daydream on every Altcoin price.

DOT is a good future project. an investment asset that I think if you are currently there will be no loss.
the momentum is in correction although not only DOT, there are several altcoins we can also consider.
but specifically for DOT, there is still great potential for future development. this year we see it. and maybe 2-3 years from now we will see something even bigger.

Are you kidding me? Polkadot price coming down to $5 dollar from how far it's already dropped would mean hell, bitcoin would have to go down to around maybe $20,000 dollar for us to possibly see polkadot at $5 dollar.
Dont get me wrong, I love to buy at that price too, but I don't think it's going to still drop that much from how much it's already dropped, polkadot is a great project and one which alot of people support, this is a great buying opportunity already, it's only a matter of time before the price picks up again.

what do you mean if at least the price of Polkadot is $5? because right now the price of Polkadot is $11, therefore I think you are wrong, because if Polkadot is really good for investment, then it's impossible if the price of Polkadot is at least $5, because I'm sure if the price of Polkadot can make a new ATH price again in the near future (its ATH price is $49.69), so this is an opportunity to invest in Polkadot before the price starts to increase very high again.

Are you expecting the price to drop as low as $5? I don't think that is ever going to happen given how decent a project it is and considering it was trading around 50 bucks some time ago.

When you say, at least $5 though, it seems like you are expecting growth and the price to reach $5 which doesn't make sense because it is already more than double that right now.

I seriously believe that DOT will at least reach $25 before the end of this year so ultimately a very worthy investment, but please anyone don't take my word because the crypto world is just too unpredictable.

whether it's a development or an update on their platform. but what happens now is a correction. I'm sure all will return to market capabilities. regarding the product, I believe the market is already supportive with a strong community and trade.
if you want to invest in DOT, I think currently focus on market capabilities. correction is taking place and allows us to get DOT at a good price.
