Since i came into this investment i think i smart enough to not fall into this kind of stupid like this. I still can't understand to the people who fall into this trap, they just too greedy if believe in something like this. I feel bad for people who get taken advantage of by these scammers. Social media sites have to do better in stopping these scams from being advertised. I never trust this kind of events. It's obvious that it's not safe. Hackers captured even Elon Musk's Twitter account and swindled many people. Do not trust everyone! There are frauds everywhere. This is a very simple trick.

Those newbies are prone to this kind of scam because they thought bitcoin is a kind of giveaway that you only do little works and you will be given such freebies. Well, it's doesn't work like that. easy money is a scam in this industry. everyone is working here and most of the time they've worked like 10hrs a day just to get that few satoshis in their first time engaging in the crypto industry without using any capitals. Those who are using their own money are working to get some real-time experience on crypto trading as well, so basically there's no free money here. everyone is simply working towards their own goals.

In the past it was multiplier schemes. Crypto users were reached through different means with some multiplier scripts. Beginners easily fall for it, even I've fallen for it without researching much about it. By the time I spend around 0.05BTC on a single multiplier scam. Later only understood all the reviews on those sites were fake ones. From that day I never get into any form of attempt to increase our holdings, other than trading.

That's the price we pay for education. We pay it either through experience of through knowledge. I also had that nasty experience while starting up as a noob in this industry. It was greed that drove me to that supposed doubling sitel, thinking that we had Santa Claus in mid air. Till date, I still see people indulging such gestures. It's even appalling when you get to find out that someone repeatedly falls for such hogwash, believing that one day luck will shine on them. It's pure greed that makes anyone fall for these scams. Nobody throws money at you for no reason. There must be something or a task they tell you to do to earn. Again, why will anyone trying to better your lot ask you to send them something before they give out to you what they're promising you? It doesn't add up. The red flag is obvious but people choose not to look.

Unfortunately, someone will still fall for this kind of trap. Giveaway tactics are still famous online and due to an urge of having free money (which most likely scam), they wouldnt take the lesson without experiencing such fraud.

I remembeted being scammed too online but that makes me become more vigilant trusting something like this fake giveaway. And I was newbie that time, so probably those victims were just new and trying out the risk of thst giveaway.

You mean some twitter verified account got hacked and changed it's name to elon musk or any famous people. There are lots of the same incidents happened before. It just that many people are still ignorant for such obvious scheme, even though they knew it's a too good to be true offer but it just happens that they were more greedy and now this happens. It's just that people never learned.

I can't beleive people can still fall for this kind of fake giveaway trick it obvious inexperienced newbies will always be caught in this fraud due to their greediness how can someone ask me to to send some coins in exchange for double or triple offer? even disguising with Elon Musk's twitter account, this cannot be true it is a pure deceit and scam, it quite unfortunate that many had fallen victim of this cheap scam due to ignorance and social media had indeed contributed to this type of growing scam unfortunately it is always late before those scam post, videos and tweets are reported to the relevant authorities a lot of damages could have been done, before it is taken down or deleted. we have to extremely careful with social media promising fake giveaways and continue to enlighten newbies on dangers of falling for hacked account of highly influential figures twitters, telegram, Facebook etc by some fraudulent scammers.

It's not only about being greedy or stupid. I wouldn't blame these people, to be honest. They just didn't get enough education to sort the information they receive and make informed decisions. Also, judging from victim of other scams, these people are often desperate. I've recently watched a video about a popular Ponzi scheme in my country and people who invest in it. These people are usually pretty old (so they aren't very familiar with how the Internet works), giving away their pensions to the scammers in the hope of hoping their families. There are also people who are ill and need a lot of money for medical operations, and they are desperate to try anything that might help them get this money. It's very sad that the already vulnerable ones are losing what they have due to scams. And speaking of crypto scams specifically, it surely doesn't help to get confusion out of the way when there are mixed messages from various authorities and financial experts, as many say Bitcoin itself is a scam, a financial pyramid and whatnot.

Don't be like this investor who just gave more than 1 BTC to a scammer. For sure the scammer is very happy with that happened .

I've happened and experienced something like this even though it's not bitcoin but another crypto by sending a private message in my email stating I got a gift from the assets I own.. after that I tried to claim but at that time I unconsciously gave itmy personal data and directly without waiting for the day the assets I have started to be stolen one by one..
therefore my advice we must be careful of suspicious things..
