Warren Buffett is one of the most successful  stock investors, in the world. Yet, Buffett has said he won’t ever buy the cryptocurrency for several reasons . Other hand  Michael Saylor, an early Bitcoin investor and proponent has  been credited with  institutional Bitcoin boom in December 2020. He has made billions of dollars from Bitcoin.

There's no answer to that question unless there's a study conducted that tries to settle who is much more happier. In my opinion, it's a subjective matter in terms of happiness because sometimes what's fun to you, isn't fun for the other people. Plus, crypto and stocks is vastly different because crypto is much more volatile so a one digit percentage increase isn't sparking joy for crypto investors but for a stock market investor, that's a payday for them.

Those who get more returns will be happier. And it can either be the stock investors or the Bitcoin investors. Someone who invested in Bitcoin in 2010, when the exchange rates were $0.10 per coin, would be extremely happy now. The same can't be said about someone who invested in the same asset close to the ATH price of $62,000. And the same with the stocks as well. Those who invested in the IPOs of stocks such as AMZN, TSLA and MSFT has no reason to be sad at this point. But I wouldn't say the same to those who invested in Carnival Corporation and Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings.

I don't think we should rely on the single billion dollar investor's thinking! He has his own agenda, his own rules in his own universe. When I am investing I don't even think about what Mr Buffet thinks or whether he is gonna make positive statement today or tomorrow. Though billionaires can have major impact on the Bitcoin and we have already seen this with the Elon Musk case, then also that's relative to that specific period only.

The damage is not permanent for crypto. It's been a decade, it's fine if Mr. Buffet is not investing, crypto still went to crazy high rates and still has market cap of trillions of dollars.

for example a newbie who doesn't understand how trading works will lose money in both markets and will always be unhappy. but someone who has been trading stocks for years is going to be happier sticking to what they know.

it is important to know that it doesn't matter that bitcoin is outperforming literary everything in the world, there are still a lot of newbies who lose money in bitcoin!

Happiness is a feeling, an emotional state sometimes may last for a while, while at other times is sometimes short-lived. In terms of the stock and bitcoin investors, i will say they have both experienced happiness from their investment, and if comparing both of them in terms of who is happier, an answer is not conclusive enough because at different times, a stock investor might be happier than a crypto investor, and at another time, the crypto investor might be the happier of the two.

I think what matters is finding which investment works for you and the one you are willing to stick to like the examples of people you have used, and being patient with it, there is happiness and joy for every choice one carefully makes.

This question doesn't have a straightforward answer. Because it entirely depends on the entry time into both markets. Definitely bitcoin has given astronomical returns to its investors since last few years, stock market has also given a steady rise in investor's wealth. So I believe, as a retail investor, we should not stay away from any opportunity. I personally do invest in stocks and gold along with cryptos. The overall return is quite good and I am enjoying the best of both world. That's how it should be for everyone. Diversified portfolio is the basic of investing.

More on topic though, I think it depends on one's personal risk profile. While Bitcoin has outperformed the stock market the volatility is still not everyone's cup of tea. So while Bitcoin has given vastly better returns it probably also resulted in more sleepless nights for some.

That is assuming that by stock investor you mean someone who is broadly diversified. Going all in on a stock or two will probably give even more sleepless nights than being invested in Bitcoin, while providing only a fraction of returns.

Whether you are a stock investor or Bitcoin investor, it does not matter whose one is better in the field or but is happier. Being successful in Stock trading depends on how professional a trader is and the number of experience that had been acquired over a certain period of time. Comparing Bitcoin and Stock is unnecessary in term of who is happier, cause being happy as a trader depends on how successful a trader his.

Bitcoin investment is huge and long term investment that entails leaving a certain amount of bitcoin for a long term for it to appreciate before giving it back to the market. How funny it is for beginners who have to compare our finances with a Warren Buffett and then as if it was considered easy. I wish we have a more reliable data but we know for a fact that there are retail traders and institutional stock investors who switched to cryptocurrencies. The term used here is wrong. Rather than asking who is happier, the OP should ask who is more successful. It doesn't make sense to ask whether an investor is happy or not. He can be happy due to many reasons. Happiness and profit are not the same. Ideally we can say that those who get more profit should be more happier, but arguments can be made. In other words, the OP can ask who is getting rich, or who is getting more ROI. But if you use the word "happy", then under these circumstances it really gets weird.

I personally think BTC investors.

They are backing a greater cause, imo, given the fact that BTC is a whole movement towards decentralisation. Individual stocks have certain purposes but mostly, they are just there for profit generation and profit generation only, without trying to disrupt the existing system to make it better.

Both of them became happy since not every stock investor would like bitcoin and not bitcoin  investor would like stock to. Each of us have different preferred investment  option and I can say that both of the selection  are happy once stocks prices  goes up the same with bitcoin. Today I read that WB and his empire lost about $6 billion on some of their investments in well-known companies (Apple, BOA, Coca-Cola ...), so the question can be asked is he happy about it?

If we consider the option you proposed, then I think that both are happy, both the one who invests in stocks and the one who invests in bitcoin. The thing is that both of these people earn and have excellent profits by investing in both stocks and bitcoin. However, if we consider this issue more broadly, then probably there is still a better direction for investment, but everyone should choose this for himself. For me, at the moment, the best investment is in Bitcoin.

There is this highly demeaning act towards stock investors in the crypto world, I do not know why we are belittling the stock investors just because we are in the crypto world. I still like stock investors because they are at least aware of the fact that they need to invest money into stuff to make sure they get rich as well.

A person that buys amazon stock actually makes profit whenever amazon does something illegal to enrich themselves, so you are actually moving towards the wealthy peoples side as a poor person (or maybe rich as well) so it is not really that bad. I would rather have stock of netflix or amazon instead of actually using them, at least it would make me a part owner of those places, sure a tiny bit but it is better for me to still own something compared to nothing. There are too many variables to define who would be happier - Did the bitcoin buyer get in early and hold on over all this time? Has the stock market buyer been a long term holder who has built up a sizable income stream from dividend or a lousy day trader who is trying to make a fast buck? There are many different strategies out their but it is perfectly possible to be happy regardless of what your investments are doing. At the very least, stock market investors have a lot more history to support their decisions and the market has trended up over almost a century now (provided you buy whole market index funds). Either way, money should not be what defines happiness in your life, even if it can make your day to day experience much easier.

If you are generalizing the whole stocks against the bitcoin and give the best assets to invest still bitcoin gave the best possible returns ever in the last 10 years compared to the stocks. Some investors just stick with what they are good at and never going to take risks by investing on something which is not familiar to them which is actually a good thing to have as an investor but blaming the other asset just because they don't know what it is a completely different story.

We can't really tell who is happier than who. After all, happiness is a broad topic already. It can be because of various reasons. What exactly is happiness' definition anyway? It's a very subjective matter. Some would say happiness is having a huge sum of money in your bank account. Some would say having your loved ones beside you. Some would say happiness is achieving their goals and aspirations in life. You see, the definition of happiness can be different from one's perspective already. Hence, the comparison is totally nonsense unless there will be a conducted comparative study that covers the same variables and aspects to determine which is which.

The bitcoin investors and stock investors have the common ground of making their money generate profit. Having that said, that can be the level of comparison. I think both of them are happy, they are succesful in different field that they choose to. I have just one reason why I feel the stock market investors are much happier than crypto investors, it's that on weekend the stock markets are closed therefore ensuring that you get a peaceful sleep or two days when you can enjoy your life. I will answer this based on my experience investing on stock and bitcoin. Both investments can be profitable but it depends on each of us because we have our own plan and strategy. So I tried stock since it was recommended by my friend who are earning good amount through it for years already. But my experience is not good as him and I dont have that required patience, for me it takes too long. On the other side bitcoin is the one who give me high return in a short period and that makes me happy. As time passes by I also learned to be patient because its inevitable that the market are turning bearish sometimes, but a good chance to take advantage.

Happiness is not attached to the asset you are investing in, and moreover your happiness should not be linked to things like this. So, what I’m trying to say is that what you are investing in, whether it is stocks or cryptocurrency, shouldn’t be what’s going to determine your happiness.

Why must the happiness scale be considered as making profit? I am happier because I am not in the fiat world and my money is in crypto. For me crypto is a way to make money but at the same time it is also a way to make myself happier at the same time by staying away from banks and fiat. I didn't come to crypto to make profit when I first found about it, I came in here to save and store my money without the need for banks, it was mostly in cash, some in gold but it was all physical and at my home, now thanks to crypto I moved them all to crypto. It's clear that you can take more risk spending in crypto than stocks so you are certainly more on crypto lover. Maybe because the profits in crypto are much massive than stocks particularly if you end up investing in bitcoin. But there are times also that crypto experience a dump season so most of the coins are decreasing in value so i think it will always be a good diversification if you are investing into both. If you come up non- profitable in crypto in times of bearish season, then i guess having stocks too would give you high profits.

There's no definite answer to that question OP, ofcourse both of them are happy with their own respective field. Truth is nobody can command you where to invest, instead being an investor who wants to make profit then you should begin to invest to yourself in knowledge or research what investment is the best for yourself and suits you.

I totally agree on this. Its not all the time that money matters. Even if we do make huge profits, but if we are not happy anymore with what we are doing, then its still useless. Being happy in an investment means that you are still passionate and satisfied doing it, even it means small but consistent profits. I guess as long as there is profits, be it stocks or crypto, it will always make us happy if we are doing it with love and motivation.

You are right, in part when it comes to this you have to have a directed approach to investment direction, and most investors have enough time and money to wait until they make a profit.

Despite that both need training, understanding and experience. You can't invest in stock or cryptocurrency and be successful without having a good knowledge about it. First of all, happiness is by choice not by relationship, the level of money make cause there are some people who have all this but they are still not happy while there some people who don't have any relationship or make much of money and they are still happy.

I have some stock but didn't trade it, it is more of a long term investment while bitcoin or crypto somehow can be good for short term especially if you will be able to focus your time in it. It is better to have 2 baskets one for not so risky or it will depends on where you are comfortable more in using. People choose to get scam on a creepy project because they are tempted on high return for short period of time promise. The only advantage of stock market to crypto are all assets there are regulated and it has a low volatility. I agree on you on this point. Of course the one who gets higher profits is obviously happier than those who only get minimal profits. And this depends either if you invest more on crypto or you choose to put more funds on stocks. But one thing is certain, there is more profits in crypto rather than stocks. Crypto has a higher rate of growth compared to any other assets, and its certainly more expensive than any other assets. So the bigger the risk you take, the higher the returns you'll gain. Not just in crypto alone, but this applies to all types of investments.

Cryptocurrencies are way riskier than stocks. It's a real concern by most investors and that also stops the others from investing in crypto and they end up staying in stocks and other traditional investments where the risk is low.

Stock trading is riskier but more profitable, that's why I would recommend stock trading only if you have a lot of money. I am sure Bitcoin investors and that too after April 2021. There are few highly recommended as well as tried and tested ways with which you can make money through crypto trading:

- Least leverage if you are a fan of futures.
- Buy spot with microcap and hodl for a few months and then see it again, you'll see the difference.
- If your bought coins (that have a use case) are very much below your buy price, hodl till it gets back there and even higher. That's the history of crypto, you can check that all the coins that are currently breaking their ATH went more than 50% below the previous ATH, but are currently giving back profits to hodlers.
