Interesting observations about apa don: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1317853

It was the sheer number of "Yes," and "Yes, that's right," that he made as opening words in post after post after post that stood out. It would have been an injustice if I had not created the thread to share with you all  Wink

Post #39 is just a quote of another without apa don typing anything

68 of the first 69 posts all start with the following: Yes,

I lost count how many posts start with: Yes, that's right,

The account was created in 2017 and went from Indonesian local board to Global board after around 22 months of inactivity. I counted zero English language posts other than a couple seeking bounty, all the rest were in the Indonesian language until the account changed hands in 2021.

The last post in the Indonesian board was in July 2019 after that the next post was in English in May 2021.

Post #90 was in the Indonesian local board and the first post in English (#89) was to participate in a bounty. After that nearly every post starts off with a "Yes," or "Yes, that's right,"

The original creator of the account used @apadon1 for his Telegram in post #143 but after the account changed hands @apadon was used.

---------------------

---------------------

---------------------

It is clear the intentions of the account operator was to monetise the apa don account after it changed hands and came in to his possession. He joined bounty and signature campaigns but we do not know know exactly how many accounts he operates. Maybe it is on an industrial scale  Shocked

I sometimes wonder how much money members are offered to sell their unused or dormant accounts to people that might want to buy them. If someone agrees to sell their account how many actually receive any crypto? For example, it is possible someone approached apa don and offered BTC saying the account was not being used and he was better off selling it and then he fooled apa don in to giving the password to his forum account with a promise the funds would be transferred after he gained access. Maybe after he changed the email address he stopped communicating with the real apa don thus stealing the account but in that scenario there is no recourse and no route for the real apa don to do anything about it.

I was getting bored and had some time on my hands therefore I created this thread instead of simply tagging the apa don account and moving on.

For those of you that think the thread was not necessary, I have two things to say to you all and to "apa don". First of all you should take part in the poll and secondly....   Grin

This account is like whore, passed around like it's nothing. This must be those kind of accounts that they use to sell merits using a different account to prevent it from being flagged as a merit retailer. I hope that when the person who sees the tag of this account would give up on using this account.

I see that a lot of posts were deleted by him. Posts made per post deleted: 298 (Rank: >1000th)
This may indicate that the user had some kind of compromising information that he tried to hide. Nevertheless, his ETH address: 0x22c88Eb12703FbBE3F08C957d2d9B978CA92F500 detects connections between at least two accounts that are currently active and subscribed to one bounty company. They have the same style of writing, starting with consent.
I don't have enough time now to accuse them of cheating. But I think this account is also an alternative to those two.
JollyGood, good find. And as we can see, this account is not outraged by its tag, as it still hasn't replied in this thread. And this can be understood as consent.

I was getting bored and had some time on my hands therefore I created this thread instead of simply tagging the apa don account and moving on.
OP, a couple of years ago I had that same boredom and free time and used it to catch a number of alt accounts posting in the same threads using the same technique you did: finding patterned writing styles, like in this thread, this one, this one, and this one.  And I'd say most of the time I was right, but damn did it get tiring after a while, and I don't think my efforts to snag these idiots ever amounted to anything as far as the forum is concerned, because as you've shown yourself the problem is still as bad as ever, at least in the altcoin section.

But props to you for sniffing out Mr. Yes That's Right and exposing him.  Obviously his English is severely limited, and thus his posts pretty much all begin the same way (and that sort of thing drives me insane).  Keep up the good work, but don't burn yourself out finding these morons.

Yes, that's right - It certainly looks that way but it has changed hand more than once, it seems that way.

Very strong words from you because it seems clear the account has changed hands more than once. I did not see anything related to merit abuse but the account has lost credibility therefore has rightfully been tagged.

Searching through addresses he posted to get bounty was going to be my next step but you got there first  Wink

The fact that there is no obvious outrage or attempt to defend himself gives the impression he does not care. He probably has several alt-accounts farmed for bounty and signature campaigns therefore will give up on the apa don account and will probably concentrate on trying to increase rank on his other accounts while maybe trying to buy more accounts. I will check the links you posted to associated accounts, thank you.

You really had been busy as can be seen in the links you provided. It goes to show what can happen when people get bored. I had a quick look at the links and it can be seen you did you research, it must have taken a long time to compile all the work involved. This one in particular stands out because of the number of posts quoted and efforts involved: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3363270.msg35226256#msg35226256

Thank you for the tip. It is very easy to get burned out going through the forum trying to pass time and trying to escape boredom but I have no intention of getting burned out. I have enjoyed my time over the past couple of years making most of my posts outside the Reputation and Scam Accusations boards.

I needed a break from the Reputation and Scam Accusations boards and have enjoyed posting elsewhere, I rarely post there now because investigating and compiling evidence with screenshots takes time and sometimes is too time consuming. I am probably going to give almost all of my time over a 1-2 month period in the near future to go back to the Scam Accusations board to list any scam I can find because I miss that part but moderation is the key. Thank you again for the tip  Wink

Yes, that's right   Grin there's something similar about the accounts, especially the timing of the first password changes. I think there are many more connected stolen than just these three.

1. apa don - First password change 11/14/2018 2:33:07 PM
2. fadil46 - First password change 11/14/2018 7:07:53 AM

the amount of time and energy that you put in to this thread and your replies in insane.

my advice to you is to get a life
You good bro? Just because you can't write like how @JollyGood writes doesn't mean that he/she is a shut in, maybe people just have the time, energy, knowledge and verbiage enough to create a thread this big.

It's clear that some user's here opened account due to bounty hunting and they found it very difficult to communicate with English language and more especially our English boards, the observation is very clear that the methods of his post is some how invalid to us base on communication, so while making a such post he may think is right or is making a tangible post, i think those people in Indonesia have to put he through via communication

I will have look at the links you and lovesmayfamilis provided to alleged associated accounts, we all should be vigilant. Thank you.

3. bahagia93 - Second password change 11/12/2018 11:51:23 AM
