Last night, when in "The BTC word" between jack, Elon and Ark, Elon has said TESLA will re-accept bitcoin once he confirms by himself about it.

“I want to do a little more due diligence to confirm that the percentage of renewable energy usage [that is used in Bitcoin mining] is most likely at or above 50%,” Musk stated during the conference. “If so, Tesla will most likely resume accepting Bitcoin.”

Elon also revealed some of his crypto investment, he invested in Bitcoin, Ethereum and Dogecoin.

“I own Bitcoin, Tesla owns Bitcoin, SpaceX owns Bitcoin, I personally own a bit of Ethereum, and I hold Dogecoin of course,” he said.

While TESLA has announced they have invested $1.5 billion in bitcoin back then, price was skyrocket after that. And now we knows, even SpaceX and Elon himself have bought/invested in Bitcoin too.

although many people no longer believe in Elon Musk, but from some aspects we see, information about TESLA will accept bitcoin back and will have an impact on bitcoin's growth in the future, even though the effect is 50:50. Look, fact of the matter is that even after they announced that, the market simply did not move that much. BTC didn't even climb by more than double digits.

The biggest reason for that is because markets have already priced in the majority of what Elon said in anticipation, imo.

I still think that we are in a mid-term downtrend right now, given that there is a lot of market fatigue with hype and institutional adoption. And until the next halving, I seriously don't feel like there will be any legitimate shot of us breaking out of the $30k-$40k range.

We don't care what Musk says, because we know that Bitcoin is going to go up in the long run due to its intrinsic properties. What happens is that some people do get influenced by what he says or doesn't say, and that adds volatility in the short term.

We just broke support (31k) and were 1k $ from breaking the dip (28,8k) - last hope from TA point of view, when everyone was losing hope, when fear/greed index was at 10 (it wasnt lower than 10 since covid panic sell) ... and suddenly 10% pump yesterday on a decent volume. Thats not "did not move that much" its important bounce at crucial price level. I'm not saying that its because of Musk. Fuck him and his "maybe we will accept BTC" ... Did you watch his talk in the B-Word with Jack Dorsey? I believe he expressed his real viewpoint about Bitcoin, and it was OK for me. He has the same viewpoint like many of us in the community.

The market simply recovered after another drop below $30k, so although the whole show may have had a positive pre-effect, nothing happened during or after the end - we will have to wait for investors to return from vacation and watch the video

I'm also not a fan of Elon Musk, nor am I one of the altcoin trader he promote. But it seem that not all of his credibility is lost just because of his negative opinion about bitcoin some time ago. I have a feeling people would still attribute whatever Elon Musk said as a basis for scavenging a few dollar on price fluctuation. In my personal opinion, I would not trust Elon Musk much despite, it should be noted that he makes very cunning movements and it is difficult to reveal what his real intentions are.

Over the course of the past few months, between flip-flopping tweets/statements about Bitcoin, and endless pumping of a joke coin, Musk has lost credibility in crypto. It's still big news that SpaceX owns Bitcoin, as it once again affirms that plenty of private companies own bitcoin so bitcoin as a store of value for corporations goes far deeper than just the three public US companies we know of. But Musk is no longer the catalyst to drive insane market moves, which is a good thing.

There's also that sentiment is negative right now so good news is less likely to have a big impact on the market.

But it does feel like price is bottoming now that it has been scraping along $30k recently. The Musk statements about Tesla and SpaceX and his own investments in relation to Bitcoin will probably do a tiny bit to firm up $30k as the bottom which has already seemed to be the case for the past two months.

Exactly my opinion, as I said traders or at least a part of them thought that him agreeing to join the conference and coming after not being so much focused on the negative sides and even backtracking on previous statements might lead to some better news, there were a lot of speculations about him saying that Tesla will again accept BTC and even here on this forum there were voices that said the same. After he agreed to talk and share opinions with BMC and the announcements coming from those about renewable energy people hoped for more. It didn't turn out to be that good but it wasn't bad either, so here we are!

Probably people on this forum don't take his statements in consideration when investing in crypto currency, but I fear many speculators do, otherwise bitcoin price wouldn't pump right after this Musk's participation. I don't see any other reason to justify that fluctuation besides his statements during the program. I think his influence over crypto universe is really worrying, especially over bitcoin.

Did you watch his talk in the B-Word with Jack Dorsey? I believe he expressed his real viewpoint about Bitcoin, and it was OK for me. He has the same viewpoint like many of us in the community.

Well at the beginning he also wasn't trolling or spreading FUD. He seemed like a true believer then he started spreading FUD. And we know he has no issue with PoW or energy consumption otherwise he would have never bashed bitcoin while supporting its copy dogecoin.

Last night, when in "The BTC word" between jack, Elon and Ark, Elon has said TESLA will re-accept bitcoin once he confirms by himself about it.

“I want to do a little more due diligence to confirm that the percentage of renewable energy usage [that is used in Bitcoin mining] is most likely at or above 50%,” Musk stated during the conference. “If so, Tesla will most likely resume accepting Bitcoin.”

Elon also revealed some of his crypto investment, he invested in Bitcoin, Ethereum and Dogecoin.

“I own Bitcoin, Tesla owns Bitcoin, SpaceX owns Bitcoin, I personally own a bit of Ethereum, and I hold Dogecoin of course,” he said.

While TESLA has announced they have invested $1.5 billion in bitcoin back then, price was skyrocket after that. And now we knows, even SpaceX and Elon himself have bought/invested in Bitcoin too.

As Elon Musk promoted his reliable projects, everything is always possible with bitcoin and I guess everybody is ready for next pumps. Tesla had been stating more strong words against bitcoin lately, but the story was turned in reverse then eventually we're hearing good feedbacks from them.

And bitcoin enthusiast are not that dumb, we have seen what Elon Musk is up to so now we stay away from his tweets as we grew tired of his antics specially when he suddenly made a u-turn against BTC. It is true that there is a lot people that are getting sick of him because they can see very clearly that he doesn't really care about this market, he only cares about himself and what he can get out of this market and while that by itself is not wrong because most traders are going to have that very same mentality, at the same time he is not above about using every single resource he has available and exploit it and this means that he's using newbies all over the market in order to increase the benefits for himself.

If Elon Musk or Tesla were the only reason to buy now or any other time it would be false.     If the market rises just for this reason its actually going to end being a sell because all that positive is just theoretical in the future and its not enough to support the price.   What Tesla actually would represent is the whole idea that any business could employ BTC in their balance sheet to some use, if thats true its a big deal and change for something that started off in someones garage as a project but so did Google and alot of other commonly used products.   I think the story for BTC is alot less managed, more volatile and prone to upset part of which is Musk and his memes being completely unreliable; I wont be surprised when he scales out at some price some of the position because it was more risk to have then he realized and he felt the pressure.

Why EV always mean one from Tesla? Please correct me if I am wrong. Why the other alternatives are not even considered? I know that Tesla is having a better battery technology and a higher range (524 km on a single charge). But I have checked the specs of some of the competitors, and they don't seem to be that bad. Take the case of Ford Mustang Mach-E. It's range is almost 70% of that of Model S. And the price is less than half ($36K vs $80K) of that of Model S. Also, if you are a short-distance traveler, then you can consider a hybrid vehicle such as Toyota RAV4 Prime.
