Microsoft research says 65% of Canadian adults exposed to a tech support scam

I wonder how much these scammers actually make. Do the scammers just hire normal call center workers for low wages? Do they get commissions?

"Interestingly, Microsoft also found that boomers and millennials are most susceptible to continuing with fraudulent interactions. For boomers, that stems from a lack of confidence in computer and internet experience, while for millennials, Microsoft says potential overconfidence may leave them vulnerable."

In general these scammers are operating from the third world countries where they can make life out of small money they make from scamming people for few bucks, I don't generalize that scammers are only from third world countries but just said the fact.

Exposed does not mean that they fell for the scam it just means that they had been sent the message or heard about it through news. Stupid how good these scammers are at promoting these scams.

This is sad for those who have been a victim of this type of scam. There is one person on YT that exposes and closes these scams by making content about them and actual expose.

Search for the channel named, 'Jim Browning'. He has been fighting against these scams for a long time.
