It's not that banned, it's removed because for some reasons. Maybe it's already duplicated and there's an existing the same topic. Take a read on this thread that's been pinned for explanation.

As someone said above me and there must be a reason why it gets deleted so fast. As far as I can see that if there are bunch of thread that was discussing the same thing like your thread and someone was reporting your thread as a spam and that's why the BTT mod was deleting your thread by consider it as a spam thread with the repetitive topic.
I hope you can read the guideline about how to posting or create a thread.

Nevertheless, make your post more constructive next time you open these kinds of topics. Simply asking which coin is better than this or that and not adding more information to improve the quality of discussion will most likely get reported and deleted. For example, what do you think happened in the last few years and what are the upcoming developments that could change people's view/opinion?

I like bitcoin but I also love how ethereum use case can work on different defi and blockchain application. But cant really hate any of these two cause bitcoin as we all knew is the king of all crypto and eth is the 2nd in position that literally climbing up the ladder. I am excited how eth will move forward from the plan migration to different dapps out there.

You are right, this is just a translation error, nevertheless, deleting duplicate topics is not correct in my opinion, they themselves will go into oblivion if they are not of interest, and besides, newcomers to the forum are unlikely to search in the depths of old topics for them, this is fresh information.

And you are right! But the fact is that often you find an old topic and want to answer, but there is a warning that the topic has not been opened for more than 120 days, is it better to create a new one and what will you have to create anew? How can it not be deleted, topics like that have been made on this forum too often. Try to create an important topic to discuss here, I'm sure your thread will not be deleted. This forum has made rules about what is and is not allowed. So, no need to blame. It's just you who don't understand the rules of the game here when creating a topic.

That kind of title was already discussed multiple times back even when I started posting in here and 2017 was that year.
It's not surprising that these are being moderated.
Now unless you'll provide a constructive question from that other than its price and function, I don't think that thread deserves more discussion.

There's nothing strange about it. If you search on the internet for ethereum bitcoin site:bitcointalk.org you'll find tons of topics on this, making yours unnecessary.
If your topic was also created in bitcoin discussion instead of altcoins area, it got most probably reported because of that and the mod had to choose between moving it and removing it.

Use search more often and, as said, start getting constructive and say something only if you have something to say. (Although it may sound a bit harsh, no offense is intended.)

Even though I haven't visited the altcoin section in a while, you better believe there are multiple threads dealing with bitcoin vs. ethereum.  I bet if I searched Altcoin Discussion or Altcoin (Speculation) I'd find at least 50 of them--but I'm way too lazy to do that, so you'll either take my word for it or not, or perhaps OP can search for those threads on his own.

My guess is that's why the thread got deleted, i.e., that it's a duplicate and it's just a thread that's going to attract shitposters who'll write one-line posts like "Ethereum!" or the like.

OP, you've been a member of the forum for over three years now.  Have you not noticed this stuff?  I can see you're not all that active, but you probably should have searched the altcoin section to see if a similar thread had been created instead of just making another "comparison thread" of which there are many and by this point you should have become aware of this fact.

it is important for you before creating a new topic to try using "search" so you know whether the topic you want to create has been discussed or not.  Don't be lazy to do that because duplicate topics are just useless discussions and will be filled with a spam post.

Pretty much. Ngl I would report the topic as well if it was just solely THAT question. For the topic to be at least slightly "constructive", I'd expect the poster to at least give his/her stance on said cryptocurrencies for us to at least have a specific characteristic to talk about rather than just "bitcoin because.." or "ethereum because..".
