Are you one of those planing to become a crypto miner some day? Here is some advice for you, bear market will come at a certain point in time and if your electricity bill is high don't bother buying GPUs right now because you won't be able to keep up.

Many miners will quit once strong bear market is here which means that rewards won't be the same again, imagine making 0.50$ with 30MH of ETH hashrate? This happens in 2019

ETH is going full PoS ( proof of Stake algorithm) by August max so your rewards will be lower even if bear market haven't started yet, as we all know it ETH remains the champion when it comes to profitability

Yes ETH is going proof of stake, no not by August. Probably by end of 2021 / early 2022

https://consensys.net/blog/ethereum-2-0/proof-of-stake-is-coming-to-ethereum-sooner-than-we-think/

Google around there are many places discussing it.
No you do not have to worry about your mining rigs, there are dozens of other algos out there to mine 100s of other coins.

And gamers will always be there to buy you cards if you want to get out of mining.

Have you noticed that almost all models of video cards are available in stores, which were very difficult to buy a few months ago?
Miners who have been mining coins for a long time are waiting for Ethereum to change the algorithm in order to cheaply buy new or inexpensive used video cards and upgrade their equipment.
Investing in mining now is likely to be a mistake

I think that is not a bad idea to invest in mining. While Ethereum is the champion in profitability the next best thing actually with the newer RTX 3000 and RX 6000 series is the Ravencoin.Right now this coin is very little in value at about 0.057 USD for a coin and it is a good idea to keep them when the next bull run will come.I plan to extend my 300 Mhsh mining rig with one RTX 3080 or RTX 3090 and to keep it at 400 Mhsh-420 Mhsh as things are going ok for now. Also the price of Ethereum hopefully will increase over time and in the year end we hope to see the next bull run and make some profit.

If coins price is 0.0001$ it doesnt mean it is cheap or expensive.RVN has 21billion supply. it is better look ATH and ATL prices. RVN ATH=0.28$ and ATL=0.0087$.
If RVN coins goes to 0.01$ it means cheap for me and i can buy it.0.15$ is also good price for now.

It doesn't look like strong bear market will come this year so miners still have chances of making more money back before that happens and again it seems that ETH PoS update will be postponed again with the news I read this morning
