What happened::
This is a case of bitcoin mining scam. The scammers post a drafted testimony on Facebook how they got rich investing in Bitcoin mining. They spam pages and comment box with the same message hoping to catch a victim.

Bitcoin mining is a scam, a old scam. Initial investment was $200 ..then "James" said the company changed to $300. So he had to pay another $100. "Mining Brick exhausted" That was the message in his account. So "James" ask again to add $1500. Which the victim opt to $400 instead and of course "James" accepted. After some days "James" came up with another story to exploit his victim once again but the scam has been discovered.
Word of Advice: Never invest in something you do not understand. Someone tells you about cloud mining do your research before bringing money to the table.

The number of these scammers has increased a lot now. They are using telegrams to spread these scams and new investors are falling prey to scams. Using the name bitcoin mining will increase people's interest and send them money to buy packages. Although this tactic is old,but scammers are still using it.

A friend of mine has been scammed by such a bitcoin mining scammer. So I know this scamming strategy of scammers works.

Not surprising to see them bragging their wealth and telling that they possibly earn the same fortune as them if they go invest on the platform they promoted, its classic scam and I don't know if there are still investors will trust them since reputation of mining especially cloud mining or any related to that which investors doesn't see the real mining farm is so bad.

Although this is good warning since maybe there are other newbie will miss to see those red flags happen fromnthe past.

That's because crypto is still getting prominent and it's still hasn't reached that many people yet so they can still deceive people from a lot of places. People need to be warned as much as possible about scams to prevent them from becoming victims of scams. Scammers try to scam people in various ways, who know what the consequences of depositing on these websites can be to protect themselves from being scam victims. But there are some greedy people who are easily attracted to any tempting offer. So as much as these scams can be exopse, people can be kept safe from scammers.

Given how long crypto has been in the space even the Internet as we know it, I think people should know by now the different kind of basic scams that they can encounter when they are browsing or perusing the Internet. I don't really worry too much about greedy people because I know that my word will only be disregarded, those kind of people learn from first hand experience.

Anything that says bitcoin mining with a keyword "cloud" is a scam. Bitcoin mining process isnt that simple and cant be easily be just like sound of this scam attempt.

Beginners should be aware on how is the process done and dont believe strangers that opted to persue you and insist on investing on this kind of approach.
